Overview on room
The room is cosy, big and clean. There is also a small sofa and also small bench and a nice mirror in the room. It will be nice to bonk and bench facing the mirror reflection. The Wifi is strong, will not get cut off easily. The room is alway cold as there is a permanent card at the slot to make sure is always cold and there is also a link way for easy access to Nagoya shopping mall. However, there is lack of socket for charging and also must remember to bring a travel charger because the socket is slightly different. There is also no bathtub but only a standing shower. It will be good if there is a bath tub.

43 Sqm,thats about 50% bigger in size compared to the rooms in Formosa hotel,hehehe...i think can play hide and seek in the room. :D

Summary & Rating
It is really you pay for what you get. Paid for the price so must enjoy and make good use of it. I would give an 9 out of 10 as overall i have a nice stay there. If i have a longer stay there, i will consider staying this hotel again. There is also a young indo Chinese reception who is not that chio, but she is friendly and innocent type. Maybe can jio to be FB next time if go down again

A small suggestion,the next time round,try staying in Da Vienna Junior Suite. Kaha pricing is 600k rupiah,also 43 Sqm. Enough space for a hide and seek too,hehehe...i am mainly making a room to room comparison on both hotels. And the Da Vienna one has a bath tub. Nagoya Mansion also has a Business suite that is 57sqm in size (about the size of Formosa's executive room),there was no price online. Maybe next trip (or the one after) i go check with Kaha.

Then i ask myself,can everyone and anyone get it almost all the time (aka easily get those deals) in Batam,my answer is no. If its not going to be easily available,then i will only be sabotaging the newbies and the 1st time Batam visitors if i add those info into a Guide.

agree w u on tis 1. If can't get it under normal circumstances,no point having it on a guide. It'll jus put many thgs in the grey area & becm confusing.

The same can be applied to Taxi fare too. 30k to 40k rupiah for regular rides from point A to point B if one bargained within Nagoya area. If one dont plan to bargain,the price will usually be 50k rupiah plus/minus,otherwise the carrot price of S$30 to S$50 per trip payment which can be seen in the old thread.

Long time nvr hear carrot payin $30 4 taxi fare liao. I tink the new trick frm taxi supir is shw u the taxi charge chart. :D

Here's my Taxi Pricing Variation during my Batam travel-about base solely on my experience.

It's good to see sm taxi options frm u.

1. Grab a full day taxi for only if one plans to go anywhere else more than just getting girls whereby it will usually cost between 250k to 500k rupiah per day. (a full day taxi here means the moment i arrive Batam till around 9pm in the evening and send me back the next morning/noon)

If 2 or more ppl in grp,better share a cab. But share a cab oso mus bargain. If gng less than 10 pl a day,then not reli worth it to get full day taxi.

2. Grab a taxi for FREE (via negotiation with the driver) if one plans to go for only girls and thats it. Taxi driver earns from the commission from the booking joint. (if my objective to go Batam is purely just for girls only,i do not need a taxi at all) Taxi driver brings you to serveral booking joint,you picked the girls,pays for it (the girl/s) and the same driver send the girl to you at your desired time. No extra payment needed unless one wish to tip the driver.

Not a bad idea,but tat oso means nearly impossible to bargain in booking joint & awaiting slaughtering by okt.

3. If one has a regular taxi driver,take down his number. Negotiate for a point to point fare. It can be 20k to 30k rupiah fare from each point to point. Meaning i called the cab driver i knew,the driver comes to Harbour to fetch me to Hotel,i pay 20k. Then i called the same driver again to bring me go lunch,another 20k. Then call the driver to pick me up after lunch,another 20k,then call the driver bring me go massage,another 20k,and another round of calling to bring me back to hotel,20k rupiah,the list goes on and on. Its like a call per use per trip. (if i know i am going to exceed a certain amount per day/night use,i grab a full day driver instead)

idk,never try tis b4. If can walk,i walk,i cannot walk then i jus flag a cab or ojek if solo.

4. Like i say before,i used some trickery from Harbour Bay to Money changer away from Harbour bay,then to Kaha and then to Hotel at 40k to 50k. All in will be less than 20k each point to point. 40k to 50k divided by 3 point destination. I use this method on my solo trips. (everyone who visit Batam before knows changing money at any ferry terminal usually not-so-good rate)

If u pay 40k,it'll be 13.3k,if u pay 50k it'll be 16.6k. I reli cannot imagine if u pay 30k,which shld be yr norm. (becm same as taking ojek..lol)

Even if i dont go to Money changer 1st and head from Harbour Bay to Kaha,and then to Formosa only,the fare is still 40k to 50k divided by 2.

If u pay 40k,it'll be 20k & 50k,it'll be 25k. My usual like u is btw 30k-40k whereby 50k is on the less common.

5. Dial a Blue Bird taxi that runs on taxi-meter.

Taxi drivers get commission in almost everything whenever money comes out from my wallet,according to what i have read so far. Just that to date,i dont get to see a driver collecting his commission.(what i dont see doesnt mean its not happening in this case and they do collect commission) The taxi variances mentioned above depends on how i would like to travel in Batam. Meaning to say,i have a choice...hehehe...

I look fwd to hiring a bonkable female milf driver by day,booking by nite. Any to recommend?

There is only one VIP room with shower and the rest are common curtained rooms. Price is competitive but may have changed. These photos were taken in 2013.

2 trips ago, the driver who sent me to HBB told me straight-out that next time I'm there, give him a call. As long as I'm going to book cewek, my taxi fare will be free since he get commission from the joints.

At least that's a "honest" driver. But, who is to say that the commission and the taxi fare is not being loaded into the booking fee... Hence, if can walk, is the best. Else, ojet is a viable alternative. If 2 or more pax, then consider taxi.

Executives floor have presidential suite there and business center have a conference room if i m not wrong

Need your help here. I've been tasked to organize a day trip to Batam for my fellow colleagues of bet 10 to 15 pple somewhere late July.My plan is:
1. Go Kart
2. Flying Fox
3. Visit some interesting places, eg, outlets, cultural dance, kueh lapis factory
4. SPA massage
5. Halal seafood lunch or sudanese

Was thinking of either going to a travel agency or self organize by booking a bus and doing own ferry booking.

...honestly it will not be a pleasant sight. The polis knows and hates what most Singaporean men are here for and they will usually take such opportunity to extort you. Usually draining you all cash on hands and make you return to Singapore the same day. If you have too little / nothing to give, god bless you. But I guess it differs case to case too.

Girls wise, they usually give free fuck to the polis to get off. So the girls are often at the mercy of being sex slaves to the polis that have arrested them before.

Plenty of Singaporean and Malaysian seen in Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall today with their girls. Seems like the quality of girls still there even tho it's Ramadhan. So for those coming, I guess not much changed, the MPs are in ops.

FYI : Main course like mee goreng, nasi goreng, mee soto ... can still be found at $1 SG, at 9800 Rp, promo price before tax in Nagoya Hill Mall.

Afternoon was at nagoya hill arcade everybody smoking and drinking like nobody business. Had simple seafood packet dinner at hill cafe thanks to the arcade. Live band at the hill cafe is entertaining. Thumbs up

Bill was 222k

1 X salted egg mixed combo (1 small crab , sotong, broccoli, corn, potato & 3 pieces of mantous)
2 X ice lemon tea
2 X plain rice

Yesterday night dinner (friday)

Mutton soup (meat was fresh with sop buntut kind of soup, potato, carrot & onions), beside ramayana hotel mins of walk from lucky plaza.

Cost = 35k with rice.

Also had salted fish fried rice for 25k but not recommended.

Rate on Friday night and this afternoon = 9800

So far never heard of any police raiding hotel/apartment yet. Recommend chiongsters to stay big hotel during this period.

Update: tanjong piayu seafood restaurant has opened up a branch in nagoya. Exact location to be shared soon. Stay tuned.

As i am too tired to make a detail post right at this moment of time,bros who are in Batam and wish to take girls from booking joint during Ramadan,....

Try to :

1. Go to booking joint at around 1pm

2. Go to booking joint after 6pm

3. Go to booking joint at around 9pm

...and you will roughly know what i will be sharing on the upcoming June trip summary.

DO NOT follow the regular timing of what i shared in my any of my guides to visit Batam booking joint around 12pm during weekends and after 1pm during weekdays on the Ramadan month.It isnt very right (not wrong but it isnt right either). Ramadan timing for girls to appear is tricky and i cannot use the words,"the later you reach the joint,the better" nor "the earlier you are there,the better".

1. 90% of the booking joints were opened for business from back door. (meaning front doors were closed)

2. Cannot find the back door of the booking joints? Dont worry,just go to the front door and talk to any person closest to the door itself. They will show a way.

Shall explain more on my later trip summary.

So many good movies on the month of June 2016....in Batam and at ONLY 25k rupiah (and/or 35k rupiah) per movie ticket. Well worth the time and the watch for movie-goers as well as bros who intend to scare your bedside girl/s to hug you to bed,hehehe...oh,do be careful tho,who knows it may give your girl a chance (or excuse) to "runaway",hehehe...i dont know. Watch at your own risk.

The case began in the titular Northern suburb of London, England in 1977. There, divorced single mother Margaret Hodgson lived with her four children, who ranged in age from seven to 13. But their happy home life was turned on its head when bizarre phenomena began to occur. The Hodgson children began to complain that their beds shake in the night, a chest of drawers moves in the dark, and mysterious knocking sounds resound throughout the halls. Later, LEGOs would be seen soaring through the air. At first, Margaret believed her kids were making it up, or pitching LEGOs about themselves. But as things escalated, she couldn't ignore that something strange was going on.

This was not a case of a haunted home, as much as haunted children. Both of Hodgson's daughters claimed to have been stalked by this poltergeist, tormented at school or when visiting with friends. Margaret began to fear that her eleven-year-old Janet was the key focus of this spirit's attention. This made some skeptical that the girl was pulling an elaborate prank. But how do you explain Janet's levitating above her bed?

A series of skeptics and investigators came to the Hodgson home, including Ed and Lorraine Warren. All in all, it seems good source material for summer scares. Or at the very least, a better start point than the hastily made spin-off Annabelle, which has nonetheless thrived pulling in $244 million worldwide in just six weeks. Still, with the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, we expect much more of The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist.

Yes it is the fantasy world. Beside old town cafe at the cinema level.

Otw to sekupang terminal in Airport taxi from nagoya using meter when I quoted him 70k. Let's see how much the final fare will be when I reached. Currently I'm at tiban area and meter reads 42750

Final fate at 95000 + 2000 carpark fee = 97000 !!!

It's 1 pack of cigarette + a bottle of drink more.

Conclusion : once again it's a bad Idea to take Meter taxi for long distance in batam if you know the average fare. Short distance recommended though .

Overview on room
I feel like a home staying in this room. The room is cosy, big and clean. Air-con and wifi is very strong and comfortable. No uncessary log off. Beside standing shower, there is also a bathtub that is jacuzzi like.Look very nice. There is 2 big LCD TV inside the room and also a small soft and. There are also sufficeient socket for you to charege your phone. A small make up area. Everything is nice and cool. Lighting gave you a very nice ambience.

This hotel is about one year old. It is very new and have alot of storey too. It is very near to nagoya mall and citi walk. The external of the hotel look very cool, posh, trendy and elegant.There is also street makan and convenience shop opposite the hotel. The chinese temple "Tua Peh kong" is also very near. This hotel was given high rating in batam and price varies according to the room type.The lift was also nice, cool and style.

Breakfast is taken on level 2 restaurant. I forget what the name of the restaurant called. The restaurant is very big as shown above. It has a nice ambience too. It was buffet style and has a wide variety range of food from western to Chinese style. You should not miss the breakfast there. It was totally great.

Summary & Rating
A nice trip, have also link up with bro nono for dinner. It was really I you pay for what you get. Paid for the price so must enjoy and make good use of it. I would give an 9 out of 10 as overall i have a nice stay there.

I dont have anymore tips on Ramadan,except to avoid the 1st 3 days,mid 3 days and the final 3 days. I kiasu-man,even beginning of Hari raya 1st 7 days i will try to avoid too.

RAMADAN is here soon. Usually, the first few days, the 15th day, and last few days, there will be no entertainment. The rest of the days, the entertainment time will be shorter.

Do take care not to lose your wallets n petty thieves are around out to "earn for Hari Raya". Police are more on the look out for money as well.

The place is really low-end. Girls are young and pretty, but the place sketchy. It may be good for a cheap release. 500 for ST readily down to 400 without much negotiation effort.

For beginners,i often use Formosa Hotel.(its works like a pre-school Hotel for me,hehehe...) Which is more centralize towards most overnight booking joint,massage and night entertainment places. (i do understand i am late replying to this post and you have probably returned from your trip) And for intermediate players any hotels will work just as good (even Montigo Resort,KTM resort etc).

2) which are the joints I should go for selection? Quality is the key. More ex is ok.

Within 5 mins walking distance,2 booking joint,New Berry and Happy 8 (now can add one more Princess salon ST joint which is same building as Happy 8).

Within 10 mins walking distance,Gold Bird and Moonlight

Within 15mins walking distance (maybe 20 mins),almost every booking joint in Batam,which includes Memory,Permata Indah,MM,Indah 2,Bunga etc.

3) Where should we dinner?

Turn right from Formosa Hotel front door,there is Lucky Plaza. Walk all the way down for less than 5 mins until you see Grand Nagoya Hotel and there is a zhi char store (New Singa Malam Sea food) selling sea food quite cheap. You will also pass by Mickey Mouse Bak Kut Teh which is 30secs away from the store.

4) Which is most popular disco now?

Not sure,look for Blackpage post/FRs.

5) Lastly which ferry terminal should I stop at?

No doubt will be Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal if your plan to Batam were to cheong. You can still come from other ferry terminal,but the distance will be longer where most of the fun were situated.

The 2 popular bak kut teh names in btm were shuang feng & mickey mouse. Both has several branches ard the island.

Due to Mickey Mouse Bak Kut Teh's popularity,they have raise their prices by about 20% since i started Batam in the beginning of 2014. Some of Shuang Hong Bak Kut teh was good,some really cannot make it.

The one at Astro Hotel coffee shop were the better one among the rest,the one at Citywalk one were a little too salty and they closes down some time ago (they may have moved). The one at Nagoya Hill Mall one puts their meat in the freezer for too long and well,its taste were inconsistent. a2 Food court Bak Kut Teh also not bad. Harbour Bay ferry terminal used to have a pretty good one,but i think it has wind up (not sure why). Batam worst Bak Kut Teh by my own definition after trying a handful of them is at Sinar Bulan Food court,ground floor of Sinar Bulan Hotel opposite Formosa. Actually Indo Rasa Food court Bak Kut Teh also not bad.

Oh,i also realize recently,the most expensive Bak Kut Teh is from Mickey Mouse. I would say,good for a one time novelty try,hehehe... (MAYBE becos they stop pouring customer's leftover soup back to the main pot,"cost" went up,so they increase price,hehehe...*joking only*)

I did not see any "Morena" written there. You mean it's a Morena branch indeed, and I did not see the sign, or you mean it's the same style as Morena?

Many such places in Nagoya and Jodoh: small door, stair, 2-3 floors with poor rooms and sweaty girls sleeping on floor mattress. Ojek drivers often try to take me to some of them (they call them "lady house"), because of the commission.

I have the feeling that some of the girls that can be found on wechat with the keyword "ST BO" in the profile are not true FL but actually work in such places. I say this, because one of them (long story*) posted a photo on her wechat profile where she was sitting with other girls in a place looking as a joint. When I asked I wanted to see other girls and visit the place, she said "not possible", "we work only with wechat".

* She was working just 18 with the sister (19?) at Permata when I booked both years ago. Not a 3some. Fucked both with the other in bathroom. Malu etc.
Since then, a long story for both. One got married in Singapore, but divorced after 1 year. She's back in Batam working as FL or semi-FL. Judging from the photos, she lost the virginal fresh teen appearance.
The other, well even worse. She's been working for 2 years in the spa of a hotel downtown KL. I booked her one night, just because I wanted to stay with her after long time. She's a sweet SYT, but working in spa for two years leaves some marks... She says she's happy to work in spa in KL, even if she cannot go out alone and practically spends all her days between her room, the road to go to spa 5m, and back 5am. She says she earns more in KL like that, rather then in Batam. In Batam, her booking fee was around 1.2M. In KL, a ST is less than 200 RM, 30%-40% for her. Make your own calculations...

& to be exact,Kaha charges 600rb per night stay for your junior room including tax ,which turn out to be a little more than S$60. Then again,if you call to kaha to reserve from SG or take a cab there to buy hotel voucher from kaha,you'll have to count in the cost of any transport & any phone bill extras to the total hotel payment. Just to be fair because if you booked online,there will be no such unforeseen charges.

Recently visited Batam. Happened to drink in a pub where I met with their local OKT. He pass his mobile nos to me and explained tat his girls are quite fresh as he only recommend to his small network people. Personally I prefer Da Vienna more than Formosa, the reason being - newer decor, higher quality of stuff in room, more comfortable bed, etc. Especially their interesting lamp trick... ...:D:D Down side is a quite big about in-house massage and a little bit about variety of food supply surrounded...

Many such places in Nagoya and Jodoh: small door, stair, 2-3 floors with poor rooms and sweaty girls sleeping on floor mattress. Ojek drivers often try to take me to some of them (they call them "lady house"), because of the commission.

I have the feeling that some of the girls that can be found on wechat with the keyword "ST BO" in the profile are not true FL but actually work in such places. the other one u can try is zest hotel also newly build, 375000rp. if stay at the top floor on the other side got sea view some more. good scene for bonking too.

The pricing there is cheaper and quality of girls will not lose to delta spa. Great selection too if you want FJ. The recept will ask you Massage with HJ or FJ only no massage. Price is 400k for HJ with massage and around 800k for FJ only .. You can ask her bring the girls out for you to choose. They will stand one row in front of you

The price for M1 is minimum 1 million rupiah spending in a single receipt.
They dont have solely room bookings. You must at least spend 1 million in your bill before they allow you to go in. Room is very spacious. Girls comes in only after 9pm. 300k to sit with you.

I ordered one tower of beer and cocktail for 4 of us in the room. Just nice 1 million rupiah.

M1 KTV is in a hotel, so if you stay there also quite good. Seafood is just opposite. :D

remember dont follow my footstep. You give one waiter tip, a whole swarm of waiters will rush in for tips too. So better dont give. LOL

If really at 750k, then is really bo hua just for a HJ. Much better to go Octopuss at Pacific Hotel.

For 750k, you can get an FJ for 698k (Silver package) and still have 52k left for drinks, or top-up 46k more to take 2x 90min sessions with one HJ per session (each session at 398k).

Personally I prefer Da Vienna more than Formosa, the reason being - newer decor, higher quality of stuff in room, more comfortable bed, etc. Especially their interesting lamp trick... ...:D:D Down side is a quite big about in-house massage and a little bit about variety of food supply surrounded...

No doubt Da Vienna is better for a variety of reasons, as you mention, and nearly for the same price as Formosa.
BUT - you know what is heart, right? - I feel Formosa as my home now. Too many astounding memories and adventures in those rooms. Even the smell in the corridor (which is not good, because they allow people to smoke) makes me revive old memories.

Yes, it's the hotel that is shaped like a cruise ship. It's on Level 8 of the hotel, but the slightly tricky part is that Octopuss is not accessible via then main elevators at the lobby.

Instead, you have to walk to the back of the hotel where Pacific Disco is; therein lies another set of elevators that brings u to Pacific KTV (L2 & L3) and Octopuss Spa (L8).

If in doubt, just ask any hotel staff lah.

Need some reviews on that , saw the poster somewhere , it's only on every Saturday 6pm-9pm , free flow self BBQ style in the hotel premises I think. Those who like delta spa can stay at this budget hotel Amaris which is just next to Delta Spa :)

I stayed there once. The only thing bad about this place is one day 3 times you will hear a mosque nearby playing the quran very loud. Other than that the hotel is just like a hotel 81 standard.

If you ask me what to do and how to start for a newbie in Batam, I will do the following :

Stay around Nagoya Hill, there are a number of hotels here, from cheap to average price. Within walking distance, there is the famous Delta Spa; HJ at SAKURA / MAJESTY which I do not recommend because there are REBORN and ZEN Wellness which costs you only 188,000 Rp, 2 hrs and the golden question came, I am not a good negotiator, tipped 200,000 Rp HJ, tot I was getting a FJ, ha ha ... my Malayu cannot make it.

If you get a girl, then Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall would serve all purposes, eat, play, shopping and movies, no need for extra on taxi ... etc.

By the way, girls here have looks one usually no boobs, no ass, have shape one, usually aunties, or is it just that I am suay ?! :(

Just my 2 cents worth opinion, other seniors may advise better. I am not so much a cheongster here, just a regular who doesn't work and simply do whatever I want.

This is how you should enjoy batam

1) Arrived at Harbourbay Ferry Terminal
2) BF/Lunch at the terminal
3) Walk to Pacific Place and check in. (Normally they only allow check in at 2pm, but I told them when the guest leave can I check in early. They ok one, but you just have to hang around the lobby around 12-1pm to disturb them)
4) After check in to your room, cheong ahhhhhhhhh.... Go down and take the lift from the back of the hotel to level 8 Octupuss SPA, Massage and HJ) Join their member for discount. QUite worth it
5) After Massage go back to the room rest a while
6) Then proceed to walk to harbourbay shopping mall and catch a movie.
7) After movie, just nice early dinner at WEY WEY live seafood and enjoy the scenery with a pack of cig and beer

Its Ramadan on this trip,which i deliberately picked those dates to visit Batam. There were lots of mysteries and myths in Batam over the decades,so i am finally here,well equip to peep deeper into this season of the year where most people didnt quite like to visit Batam.

Took the morning ferry to Harbour Bay via Harbour Front. I was expecting the ferry to be no more than 50% filled,but i was wrong. The ferry was more than 80% filled. And they were filled mostly by elderly man and ladies with a handful of younger volunteers organizing a 4D3N Batam trip. How did i know its a 4D3N? Hehehe...i took a close up peep on their itinerary.

Stamping passport at the custom was a breeze at Harbour Bay.Obviously the elderly tourists on the ferry with us couldnt beat us in term of speed to reach the check point,hehehe...and the Business Class on Horizon ferry appears to have many indonesian disembarking from the boat. Again,they couldnt beat us on speed due to their heavier luggages. We were the 1st 10 people to get our passport chopped,hehehe...

Didnt approach Kaha this trip to get our room voucher but instead head straight to have our money changed,before heading STRAIGHT for hotel check in as i have already reserved our favorite rooms in advance (check in time was before 11am Batam time,hehehe..). The hotel was able to give me a good price on a particular i wanted,but i have to turn it down becos i wish to accumulate the hotel points to upgrade my membership card to Silver Grade and becos of this,i lost an extra 100k rupiah in my 3D2N stay.

At this point i wish to clarify one small little error on the Formosa Membership. Remember on my 28th Batam trip summary (https://hive.am/28Batamtrip) ,i said Formosa will be terminating the contract with Kaha,honestly i do not know how true and there is no way i can 100% be sure that their contract was terminated and in this trip,i was told again that it wasnt (by Kaha). So i am able to get 475k rupiah for Deluxe room on weekdays and 525k rupiah on weekends. Then again,look closely at the membership offer on the list below. Getting the FREE membership gives me 460k flat price thru out both Thursday and Friday (Friday was considered a weekend).

So the ultimate decision lies with developers and the people involved the whole project. And i have no part in its decision. One will need to understand that it really take a very very long time to demolished a building and another very very long time to come up with a new building in Batam. They can also change or tweet their minds at a later time too. Final decision lies with them as i am not the land owner nor the developer.

(what i mean by "very very long time here",i am using the building of Tiban Tua Pek Kong temple as a benchmark and it took than more than 6 years since its building starts and its still not complete to date)

The latest i heard,they are building the new residence building behind Formosa Hotel,and later merge it with the hotel itself. My guess is,they are likely going to turn Formosa Hotel into something like Formosa Hotel and Residence (i read it from some news).

Going thru via backdoor of nearly every joints in Batam was a challenge to all of us,hehehe...the walkway isnt very smooth and we have to withstand the raindrops falling on our head. Some of the walkways were dark back alleys.

At between 1230pm to 130pm Batam time on Thursday :

The next morning,tho i decide to extend her she has request to take her leave at 10am for something personal citing that she would return in an hour. Now,my thoughts and what i learned in this 29th Batam trip :

1. My friend got back from Vietnam Ho Chih Min and brought me a T-shirt in this trip,hehehe...so 1st thing in this "thought page",i will need to thank him for it. (a Big thank you to you,bro)

2. I have read a lot on Ramadan in Batam. There was myth,mysteries,rumors etc on Ramadan in Batam. Some says Ramadan in Batam not many girls,some says got many girls. So,which is which...here's my part of the story base on my experience.

a. All booking joints were open as per normal during Ramadan period,in fact all entertainment places were open for business. But they open late and when i mean late,it means as late as after 6pm and closes earlier than usual. (ok,thats what most people would already know)

b. Now when it comes to booking joints and massage shops. Remember i said this before,as the days draws closer to Hari Raya (end of Ramadan),girls will become lesser and lesser as they will gradually go back to their hometown. 1st week of Ramadan,most likely 80% of total Batam working girl left,2nd week lesser and so on for the 3rd week until it reaches around 40% to 50%. This part,i am sure most would already read before in my earlier post/s,so nothing new again.

Do note that some working girls DO NOT go back to hometown due to the high air fare cost.(while some couldnt due to contract) They rather remits the air fare money back to hometown for their families instead.

c. All booking joint,even some massage places were still operating and entry were by the back door. In fact,all booking joints in Batam were opened but entry only via back door.Again,everyone knows that. But how to gain access to the back door is what not being shared here and some back doors take about 5 mins walk. Knocking on their front door definitely wont get them to open shop. And how do i find their back door so that i knocked on the right door?

Every booking joint will surely have some neighbours,some of them even sit outside the booking joint smoking,TCSS in group etc etc.Yes approach any of them,ask them how to go in and i was then shown the back door,hehehe...

3. Booking joints girls,the quality and quantity :

I went to 90% of the Batam booking joint more than once,all of them entry via back doors. Girls were however limited in each different timing.I even step into their 2nd floor and 3rd floor sleeping quarters,hehehe...so here's what i found out...

a. At around 12pm to 1.30pm ,there was an average 5 to 15 girls in each booking joint but...when i step into their sleeping quarters,there was like another 5 to 15 girls (if not more) who were sleeping,resting,eating etc but none were getting ready to work. My analysis is,each booking joint has many girls,but not all of them are working.

b. Got so many girls but its like around 60% not working and sleeping on an early noon,why? Simple reason,they were fasting. And they only appears after their fasting ends. This i am sure no one ever mention in any Batam threads in the forum,not even in the Balai one.

c. Some of the girls were fasting,some didnt. Those who werent fasting came out to work as the 1st batch,after the fasting is over around 6pm.After that came the 2nd batch. So all in all,there was 2 group of girls in booking joints.

d. I gathered there should be 2 batches of girls,each batch has their own "cream". Be sure to grab them fast or they will be gone soon especially on weekends. But if there is no cream of the crowd on the 1st batch,come back at about 6pm for the 2nd batch.

Note : There were also girls who fast and yet working,do forgive them if they need to leave early the next morning or if they cant eat together or go walk walk out of the hotel together with you.

4. Girls playing the runaway game during Ramadan. Yes,i see some girls already planning to runaway from their customers (especially those they didnt like). I have not met one which i paid for tho,however i have girls telling me that they will be citing the reason becos of Ramadan and they need to pray etc etc. Visit the more established joints to prevent such from happening and always keep the name card ready. I can however see OKTs were a little more lenient towards girls during Ramadan.

5. If one wish to see all the girls in the booking joint,you will have to pay a visit to the same joint in 2 different timing,at around 1230pm and 6pm. But do keep in mind if you visit at a timing of 6pm,the better 1230pm girls would already have been taken by others.

6. In certain more popular joints,many girls has already been pre-booked when we visited. So that means there were some more-intelligent regular bros who came prepared.

7. In Ramadan,everything seems to be normalize after 8pm but back to fasting-mode when fasting time starts on the wee hours of the morning. This reminds me of the movie Silent Hill,hehehe...

8. Its afterall a long school holiday with the combination of Ramadan month. Batam was crowded by religious and social organization from Sillypore (especially during weekends). So most of the main crowd comes from this group of people rather than cheongsters. Many foreign Indians there too,but the girls appear not to like them very much and a handful even planned to "run" halfway thru their overnight deals. So when i dont belong to the Sillypore foreign worker group,my choice were plentiful this Ramadan.

9. My entertainment bill -

Overnight girl = 800k x 2 nights (tips 100k/night) - 3pm onward to next morning 9am-10am

Massage + FJ at Kings = 81k + 300k (in-house)

Massage + HJ at Kings = 90k + 150k and 90k + 200k (in-room)

Massage + FJ (and HJ) at elsewhere by indo Chinese = 100k + 300k (fj) and 100k + 150k (hj)

10. The highlight of my trip :

a. Getting to do a little more in-depth research on the booking joint/s and massage cheong scene in Batam during Ramadan for my next Ramadan trip.

b. Gather a group of 7 boys and girls to watch porn in a hotel room together. There's nothing great about this one,but well,i didnt reveal what kind of porn we were all watching and THAT is the "great" part.

c. Having the entire 2 shifts of massage girls coming to my room,hehehe...different timing of course.

d. Getting to the living quarters of the girls in overnight booking joints as well as non-overnight booking joint.

e. Braving thru the back doors of entertainment places. i didnt know from the start that from front door walk to backdoor,sometime takes around 5 to 10 mins walk,hehehe...

f. I get to see more variety of girls during Ramadan than any other parts of the year,hehehe...not many girls during Ramadan in Batam? It was becos of the wrong timing,and not no girls.

g. The squirting booking girl was a bonus.

*sometime we were all so dependent on technologies which brought us convenience that we tends to forgot to use our common sense and basic instinct. (my shoes went muddy,parts of shirt during the day were wet etc)

Conclusion :

If i were to head to Batam next year during Ramadan on a weekday,i will not plan to go to Batam so early in the morning. I may even take the late afternoon ferry there after-office hour becos i KNOW,choices of girls were more at around 6pm Batam time and onward (the cream of the crowd may be gone during early noon tho). The girls were basically divided into 2 groups,the fasting group and the non-fasting group. OKTs seem to respect the decision the girls's made whether they choose to fast or not. Early noon,i see the non-fasting group,later noon (about 6pm) i see the fasting group.But i dont see all the fasting and non-fasting group of girls together as most of the earlier non-fasting group would already been taken up by walk-in customers.

I dont see 100% of all the girls at any one part of the day like the normal day,maybe only about 80% compare to the normal days. But whats left of the 80%,60% of them seems to be fasting and the other 40% not.(thats why the girls seems lesser) And lastly,not all girls fast thru out the whole Ramadan month.

Are there more girls during Ramadan than non-ramdan time in Batam? My answer is there are "seemingly" MORE girls during Ramadan time with even more girls hungry for my money than non-Ramadan time. Reason is supply becomes more,and the demand is much lesser and the girls (and OKTsss),they cannot hang up their original price to sell if the night is coming to an end soon (so,please bargain,hehehe...).

Once again,Ramadan is a little tricky and more of a direct opposite ways of looking for girls during the normal days (for me). I guess thats about all i wish to record down in my summary.

For KTV girls, never take viet or china for LT easily $250 per night.

Just like almost 2 years ago,i mention about Formosa may be closing down becos the plot of land in its area including Lucky Plaza,Center point were bought over by some developers. I am not the owner of these lands,nor am i the developers. Information i received were from the tenants of Center Point ,Lucky plaza and perhaps some friends. So the ultimate decision lies with developers and the people involved the whole project. And i have no part in its decision.

The latest i heard,they are building the new residence building behind Formosa Hotel,and later merge it with the hotel itself. My guess is,they are likely going to turn Formosa Hotel into something like Formosa Hotel and Residence (i read it from some news).

Hi Nono, it has been a long time never visit Batam. Thank you for opening this new batam thread and provided a lot of useful & up to date information that has benefited many brothers here.

I am curious so I actually called Formosa hotel to find out about the on going construction building behind Formosa. The staff answer and I was told that the building will be an apartment/condomium build to be sold. The owner/developer of the new building is the owner of Formosa hotel who is a Taiwanese. He further commented that the new building will not be link to formosa hotel.

One more thing he mention about the membership is free without any deadline. He also mentioned that Formosa is having its repainting of the façade of the building to give a new look.

Therefore I guess unlikely Formosa hotel will be closed in the near future as the hotel have already spent some money on the repainting as well as upgraded some of its hotel rooms, toilets, VIP massage room,restaurant. Its business is growing and earning good money from kings massage, alisan KTV, hotel rooms and the restaurants and unlikely the boss wants to give up the business.

Lucky plaza has also a large pool of customers with good business but the building seems to look abit rundown and therefore there may be a possibility that it will be taken over.

As for centrepoint, there is a high chance that it will be bought over by new developers since it has been vacant. :)

And in case you ask me similar question/s between Da Vienna Hotel deluxe room versus the junior suite room,i would say for 150k extra on junior suite more than the Deluxe one (comparing on Kaha pricing),i get a bath tub,bigger room space,i also get a pair of Bath Robe (i called it Dove suite,hehehe..)...and with more space and better comfortability,the girl in my room could feel more at ease. The girl can be almost nude at all time and always ready for bonking,hehehe...i mean there's a bath robe afterall (the girl/s have no reason to wear anything underneath,be it having an in-room meal,watching TV talking over the phone or anything which can at times be a turn on). There's also 2 TVs too,so we can both watch 2 different TV channels. Not forgetting the TV has HDMi connection,which means....hehehe...well...you know,porn shows etc etc.

Talk about TV channels,i also find Da Vienna Hotel's satelite TV program has lesser disruption too (applies for Nagoya Hill Hotel too but cant be said the same for Formosa and Biz Hotel). Its more stable. Maybe due to it being a taller building.

I feel like a home staying in this room. The room is cosy, big and clean. Air-con and wifi is very strong and comfortable. No uncessary log off. Beside standing shower, there is also a bathtub that is jacuzzi like.Look very nice. There is 2 big LCD TV inside the room and also a small soft and. There are also sufficeient socket for you to charege your phone. A small make up area. Everything is nice and cool. Lighting gave you a very nice ambience.

Now,this is the key question here.

How was the room compared to the one at Nagoya Hill Hotel? I mean since they are nearing the same size. Does it have at least have a bath robe?

This hotel is about one year old. It is very new and have alot of storey too. It is very near to nagoya mall and citi walk. The external of the hotel look very cool, posh, trendy and elegant.There is also street makan and convenience shop opposite the hotel. The chinese temple "Tua Peh kong" is also very near. This hotel was given high rating in batam and price varies according to the room type.The lift was also nice, cool and style.

This hotel has all the good ,like its near to Formosa Hotel,even nearer to Permata Indah booking joint blah blah blah...but i am not an all-good-things believer,so you know whats not-so-good about the hotel? That would be 80% of their guests were from Sillypore,so there is a very very high chance that i will see my relatives and friends there,hehehe...the in-house massage was one of the MOST expensive in Batam. Which means to me,if there is an in-case-all-else-fail situation on girls,my choices become limited...hehehe...i always imagine myself walking out of the hotel to look for girls during a bad not-so-good situation. I then ask myself,how long and quickly will i need to walk/travel to find a replacement/alternative?

Understanding the good and not-so-good about where i am staying in (its surrounding ,location and what any hotel provide in-house) does give me an added advantage.

Breakfast is taken on level 2 restaurant. I forget what the name of the restaurant called. The restaurant is very big as shown above. It has a nice ambience too. It was buffet style and has a wide variety range of food from western to Chinese style. You should not miss the breakfast there. It was totally great.

In case you have miss out,their breakfast range consist of 3 themes. The Malay,the English and the Chinese theme...big varieties too. Try a bit of everything also can make me full. I dont know is it becos i took the junior suite,one of the waitress walked me to a table and even brought me a cup of whatever drink i asked for. I dont get that when i stayed in Deluxe room.

Summary & Rating
A nice trip, have also link up with bro nono for dinner. It was really I you pay for what you get. Paid for the price so must enjoy and make good use of it. I would give an 9 out of 10 as overall i have a nice stay there.

But Nagoya Hill Hotel Deluxe cost S$120 and this Da Vienna Junior Suite cost S$61 (to be exact). Da Vienna one has a Bath tub plus 2 big LCD TVs. Room space wise was near equivalent. Nagoya Hill hotel has a grander appearance "outside of the room",nearer to shopping mall (Nagoya Hill Mall just stone throw away). So again back to the question,it really depends on what one goes to Batam...to cheong (for girls) or for shopping (clean massage etc) or maybe both. And what is one travelling priority to Batam.

Come to think of it,next time i MAY go suggest to Formosa Hotel to provide bath robe,have a more stabilize satellite TV channels program and maybe even built a Jacuzzi bath tub for certain room...hehehe...and if one day they were able to do just that,it might likely be the most Perfect Hotel for my personal preference.

"Alishan" is actually a mountain range in the central region of Taiwan. The place is inhabited by the Taiwanese aborigines or the so call mountain tribes.

Tea gives them energy, good health and a feeling of comfort.

Therefore the Formosa boss being a Taiwanese is no exception. He chose to renovate one of its outlet few years ago and named it "Tea Story" serving famous Taiwan bubble tea,etc.

To tell you a secret, the Taiwanese boss of Formosa love massage very much. He has a special room allocated for him when he comes to Batam and will order the king massage girl to massage for him. In Taiwan, there is also a popular massage spa called King's Spa near taipei.

Probably this is the reason why he has named his massage centre at level 4 as "King's massage".

In Taiwan, many tourist prefer to stay in homestay as an alternative to hotel. A very popular homestay AKA Minsu in mandarin, which is called Vienna Pleasance Cottage in one of the town in central taiwan, provide BREAKFAST and BED for tourists.

To me the most direct cost saving items are:

1) Get % discount from king massage, KTV and Restaurant

2) Free night stay after accumulated a certain points

3) Cheaper room rate than KAHA and hotel booking web-site on weekday/weekend

4) Late check out - this is important as you need not rush to check out after you had a heavy lunch and can take your time to check out slowly..

Although free transport to ferry terminal and free upgrade of room and free laundry is not that important to me...;)

Many small discounts from this little special offer can accumulate to become a big saving in the long run. :eek:

If you are comfortable with this hotel which brings you a lot of good exciting memories, and you have already treated it as your "second home", then quickly get it now since it is still FOC..:D

Yes, i do post in the previous time, but i think this time one is better, better experience over there and i would perfer a bigger room as the cost is not really that much different. The deluxe one is just a normal room nothing special.

Yes, kaha rates is much cheaper compare to walk in and other 3th party apps. Maybe next time try to use their gym or swimming pool as never tried before at all.

I think each have it own good and bad. Both are easy access to all the joints. Nagoya Hill breakfast still cannot be compared with da vienna as i think da vienna one still the best.

But Nagoya Hill Hotel Deluxe cost S$120 and this Da Vienna Junior Suite cost S$61 (to be exact). Da Vienna one has a Bath tub plus 2 big LCD TVs. Room space wise was near equivalent. Nagoya Hill hotel has a grander appearance "outside of the room",nearer to shopping mall (Nagoya Hill Mall just stone throw away). Yes, i rate both 9. The reason is actually base on what you want. What your objective of the trip. Nagoya, make me save all my transport. Everything, eat, shop, can be done there within walking distance. There is a special link way to the mall too and is rather to high end stay.

Da vienna is also good for a normal saty, for 600K which is about 60buck in sing, you can get a suite room that is very cheap and budget liao to me.

To each his own, i may think this way, other may think otherwise.

Looked quite promising, so I set up an account and ordered some food from D'Penyetz, a relatively new restaurant in Megamall. 3 mins after I confirmed the online order, someone from D'Penyetz called me to verify my order and 25 mins later, the food arrived at my doorstep. Seems reliable and efficient.

- There's currently a 10% discount on all the food items
- Delivery fee is 15k rupiah
- Can pay via credit card or cash-on-delivery

Not too sure if they'll deliver to hotels as I was required to input my address while setting up an account. There's a number to call (can be found on the website) and it also says that you can order through LINE app with the same number, so I suspect they will also deliver to hotels.

If anyone happens to try and successfully gets your order delivered to hotel, do share your FR so bros can have an option if they are too lazy to go hunt for food or too shagged out after intensive shagging sessions. :D:D

Formosa Deluxe cost 460k per nite (join member) whereas Da Vienna Deluxe King cost 490k (Kaha) - Formosa win :)

Formosa Deluxe have carpet flooring but Da Vienna deluxe uses timber floors which is not cosy - Formosa win (carpet more comfortable) :eek:

Formosa Deluxe is 30 square metre whereas Da Vienna Deluxe is 24 square metre - Formosa win (bigger floor size by 6 m2) :p

Formosa Deluxe toilet provide tap spray for manually wash backside after pass motion.

I did not see any "Morena" written there. You mean it's a Morena branch indeed, and I did not see the sign, or you mean it's the same style as Morena?

It is the same partnered boss as Morena,according to the OKT. Whether if its same style of doing business,not too sure. But i definitely saw the word Morena in one of the doors. Meaning walking into the side door,there will be 2 doors,one leads to the salon,the other to the stairs leading upstairs. The door that leads me to the stairs says the word, "Morena".

Many such places in Nagoya and Jodoh: small door, stair, 2-3 floors with poor rooms and sweaty girls sleeping on floor mattress. Ojek drivers often try to take me to some of them (they call them "lady house"), because of the commission.

There was quite a few such cubicles kost all over Batam,one of them was nearly directly opposite City Central hotel (10 o'clock direction of City Central),cant remember which block. But if you step out of Formosa Hotel,an ojek ask you if you want girls and start stalk-showing you all the photographs on hand,likely is the one.

I have the feeling that some of the girls that can be found on wechat with the keyword "ST BO" in the profile are not true FL but actually work in such places. I say this, because one of them (long story*) posted a photo on her wechat profile where she was sitting with other girls in a place looking as a joint. When I asked I wanted to see other girls and visit the place, she said "not possible", "we work only with wechat".

Hehehe...what i see was almost every booking joint and/or kost also worked on wechat. Even pubs,Clubs and discotheque has some form of OKT nowaday scouting wechat for potential customers.

I not sure is this hotel the best choice, have to explore more. Hope my review will not affect your choice of choosing. Just for sharing only.

Yes, you are right. By right, FJ is not one of the service offered at Delta Spa. But, you're behind closed doors.

Yes,Delta Spa itself do not offer FJ,just like i wouldnt say "you can" get special service at Relax Massage,Nagoya Massage and Spa center,Bridge Massage,Indo Thai,Spa Villa,Kalea Spa etc when nearly all my friends who visit the mentioned places at least twice could not get anything more other than a decent massage,hehehe...reminds me of a bro who shares in the old Batam thread that he got a FJ in Delta Spa and that he has to bring his used CD out of the spa himself.That was quite a few years ago before i was in this forum (i read it from past FRs in the old thread).

What i am trying to say if i visit a particular massage shop about thrice and got a special massage service from all 3 different massage girl of the same place,then that place i will likely classified it as "dirty massage place" from my own perspective. Anyone walk in should likely be able to easily get special service from the massage shop that were named "dirty". Now i am again in a dilemma of what i just said above becos i visit Pas Spa and Massage opposite Hans Inn thrice,i only got prompt the GQ once...should this place be classified under "clean massage place"? Hehehe...

End of the day,its more of an individual's perspective.

Going thru via backdoor of nearly every joints in Batam was a challenge to all of us,hehehe...the walkway isnt very smooth and we have to withstand the raindrops falling on our head. Some of the walkways were dark back alleys.

At between 1230pm to 130pm Batam time on Thursday :

Happy 8 : about 15 girls

Gold Bird : 5 girls (many has already been pre-booked)

New Berry : No more than 15 girls

Tulip : about 5 to 6 girls

Permata Indah : about 15 girls

Hawaii : about 10 girls

Bunga : about 15 girls

Princess Salon (Morena) : 3 to 5 girls

So ,that means at those hours,there was not many girls to choose from. We finally pick one each,costing between 800k to 1 million rupiah. I will come to the mystery of Batam missing girls during Ramadan at a later part of the summary.

If you go during weekday, I think you will likely get more than the normal discount and better bargain. I have mentioned before that this Spa is expensive sometime ago and probably be my 1st & last time trying out this Spa.

Around 1.5 months ago, I stayed in Da Vienna for 1 night and as what you have normally done, walk around after breakfast - look see, look see, eventually dropped by to Vienna Spa at around 10:10 am to see whether has any changes to the price. The Spa was deserted as I walked about checking out the rooms again and I supposed this is going to be the way for the rest of the weekday, maybe (not sure) with exception of weekday night and weekend. The Spa Manager was exceptionally eager to serve me and very determined to get a deal done. She offered the normal discounts which I have turned down as I have plan to do massage at Devata, Marianne or Sakura. She further proposed Rp 270k for 1.5 hours aroma massage which I have also turned down. For around Rp 280k, I can get a 2 hours massage + body scrub at Marianne, Sakura or even Devata. She continued with her best effort persuasion cum pestering, and I proposed a 30 mins body scrub in addition to the 1.5 hrs aroma massage at Rp 270k. She agreed without much hesitation.

As the time was nearing 10:30 am and I have to check out by 1 pm. I rather not rash with the balanced 30 mins to bathe, pack and go. So, I told her I will ask for 2 pm check out and if it is possible, I will come back straightaway and if not possible, I will check out and come back for the spa treatment.

Asking for extension to 2 pm was not possible, so I went back to my room to pack up and as I was leaving the bathroom, something strange happened that resonate well with something woke me up at 4:10 am occurrence. Talk about this next time.

I check out and proceed to the Spa. In Vienna Spa, only the couple room, quite large, has attached bathe, the rest of the rooms only have massage bed. If you are doing body scrub, you need to walk out to use the common bathroom. Naturally, I took the couple room and proceed with the massage and body scrub which I deemed acceptable but not fantastic.

For Rp 270k, a 2 hrs massage + body scrub seems reasonable. However, I make a mistake of leaving my pant with my wallet in it, laying on the other empty massage bed while I took my bathe with the door closed. It is a lesson learned for a SG50x2 missing where I only discovered after I reached home when doing my re-org. Not to blame anyone but myself for being careless.

I posted this photo, not to advertise the contact number, more because the signage will capture attention when someone walk in the mall and know where it is instead of writing long story to tell its location.

An interesting hotel indeed. Here, just a brief about this findings from my own personal analysis after asking permission to view their rooms.

The designer for this hotel is creative enough to squeeze 54 rooms out of a small 2-storey shopping space with Single, Standard and Superior. Strangely, there are only 2 Superior rooms, one on each floor which can stay. That is: large enough with some walking space and I believe will always be occupied (thanks to the bro that allow me to take a peek in his room, not sure whether he is from this forum). The Standard rooms are small meaning the walking space between the bed and cabinet is narrow but has leg room when sleeping on the bed. The Single rooms which has majority really small meant for 1 person. Everything confined to a small space including the bed with no leg room. It has a queen size bed sandwiched by 2 walls. On one end, the wall serve as head rest and other end, your legs will be touching. Suppose if you are taller than the queen size bed, you have to sleep slanting :rolleyes:

All rooms come with attached bath & toilet facilities. Maybe more for quicky or as you have mentioned, more for backpacker. Instead of double decker, they have the luxury of a room by themselves.

This hotel cannot be compared with those like Central, 18, Hans, Hana and etc. Of course the price is also cheaper. However, the advantage is it is within the mall itself and if it rains dogs and cats outside the mall, one will not be getting wet. In any case, it is still fresh and new now. If it gets old, you may want to opt for other options.

Need your help here. I've been tasked to organize a day trip to Batam for my fellow colleagues of bet 10 to 15 pple somewhere late July.My plan is:

I was sleeping alone and was awoken by a snoring sound seemed next to me which I thought it was but there was no one else in the room except myself. So the probable answer could likely be the room next door as the head rest piece of wall is the only separation between 2 beds. Without giving much bordering, I continued to sleep.

About 20 mins or so later, I was awoken again by showering in the bathroom, like someone taking a bathe in my room. Why would someone shower in my bathroom with the door opened? Half awoke, I lifted myself up and looked at the floor outside the bathroom door and the wall facing it to see whether there was any shadowing reflected from the light in the bathroom as I have the habit of switching on the bathroom light before I go to sleep to prevent accident. Although the showering sounded so real from my bathroom, there was no shadowing and I remembered I have double locked and latched the room door. So my assumption was again the room next door must be having a good time and someone there with his girl doing showering together. I then looked at my mobile and the time was 4:10 am. So, I continued to sleep but couldn't quite sleep as I can still hear the water sound for the next 8 to 10 mins (estimated).

Next morning, while I approached the bathroom to do my washing up, I noticed the floor in the bathroom was totally wet, the area where you stand facing the mirror and in-front of the WC while the shower area was not wet but mildly damp from my own usage last night. Strange isn't it .... . I looked around, up & down and find no clue to it. So, I continued to do the necessary and go for breakfast.

Fast forward from breakfast, visiting Spa and back to room 723 to check out.

I do packing up, collect personal loose items, used the WC and final checked for loose items again before leaving. At this very moment just after my final checked where I won't be stepping into the bathroom again and while I turned right towards the bed to collect my bag, it started raining again in the bathroom, "what the heck!", in double quick time, I turn my back and standing outside the bathroom door. What I saw was horrific and unbelievable! See picture below.

This time round based on personal assessment that this uneventful situation was unlikely to happen at a place like this. Thus, I let my guard down. Anyway, it was a lesson learned: when you think the impossible don't happen, it happened. Always be vigilant instead of looking for cured.

All rooms come with attached bath & toilet facilities. Maybe more for quicky or as you have mentioned, more for backpacker. Instead of double decker, they have the luxury of a room by themselves.

This hotel cannot be compared with those like Central, 18, Hans, Hana and etc. Of course the price is also cheaper. However, the advantage is it is within the mall itself and if it rains dogs and cats outside the mall, one will not be getting wet. In any case, it is still fresh and new now. If it gets old, you may want to opt for other options.

It's basically simple rm,bro. They dn't provide breakfast.

My female colleagues will be doing clean massage while 3 of us guys will want to have something special, hehe. I actually went batam in may this year. First time visited delta. Had the usual massage with hj. Wanted auto roam with clothes off while hj, and girl demanded idr 500k. Guessed my nego skill very bad, she would not budge even after i offered 200k, haha. I dont usually like to recommend,but i find the hotel prices stated for monthly accommodation shared by the above 2 bros quite reasonable. Especially for both their hotel location (near Utama hotel and the other one at Nagoya Hill Mall). If i one day choose to stay in Batam on monthly basis,i may choose to stay in "hotel" instead (rather than rent somewhere far),i mean since its quite affordable.

My experience of Ramadan in Batam is that I've always had more opportunities than in other months, but fishes were not gathered in fish-tanks. Time for deep-sea fishing. Beware of sharks, but precious tuna can be hooked.

5. My review for both hotels :

The bad (what i DO NOT like):

Da Vienna - Too many non-smoking area like the lift lobby outside my room. Makes it difficult to hold a cigarette and walk out from my room. And they have an asktray at the lift lobby outside my room (which is by the way a smoking room) that says "No Smoking". Cant find a place to stub out my already burning cigarette on my hands except on the "No Smoking" sign itself (which is supposingly an ashtray). A little overly-Sillyporean oriented.They do have more humanly customer service (than Gideon,Goodway,Nagoya Hill Hotel,M1 etc who are more robotic),but still,i will say they are under staffed at the front line. Water from tap emits some smell and they have one of the most expensive massage/spa which a stingy man like darent try.

The Good (what i like) :

Da Vienna -

Tho it was a mad rush,customer service has retain its quality. Da Vienna was about 8 mins walk to Formosa,hence making it a fairly good location. Out from Da Vienna hotel (out of its front door towards the security check point),turn right and i see a bigger than normal Alfa Mart. Opposite Da Vienna is a Pharmacy that sells relatively expensive stuffs tho. Food was abundant during my walk towards Formosa Hotel. Crown massage just about 3 mins walk away.

Pros of Da Vienna

1) Da Vienna is a fairly new hotel which was ready to stay during last year June 2015. In terms of all its room types, the junior suite room is the most economical and luxurious to stay. It is much bigger in terms of room space than the deluxe room and the toilet is big and bath tub is good for relax. Carpet to the room gives a more cosy feel. I stay in the junior suite last Dec via Kaha at 610k which is cheaper than the junior suite of Biz (670k kaha) and Formosa (800k member)

2) Since it is new and the design of the room is unique, unlike conventional hotel design, and there are many "walls or partition" can play hide and seek in the pantry, wardrobe, living room, toilet or bed room. Unlike Formosa junior suite, the bedroom, living room and the desk are all in one big space without any partitioning (more boring)

3) Innovative, having sensor touch bedroom lamp with 4 different brightness level to suit individual mood.

4) High technology using automatic toilet bowl spray to clean backside after doing big business.

5) More variety of food/cuisine in terms of breakfast choice as compared with other 3 star hotel.

6) Location is good as it is near to lucky plaza. There is a warung selling tempe goreng between lucky plaza/Da vienna super delicious. Across the street is the famous nasi pandang shop "SERDERHANA".

7) Was given a warm welcome by the receptionist and a complimentary fruit juice drink upon arrival. :)

Cons of Da Vienna

1) The hot water to fill up the bath tub of the junior suite stop operating after about 10 mins, from hot become warm become normal water. I think is maybe the central water storage heater is not strong enough to heat up the water continuously. As a result, the water in the bathtub is only luke warm but not hot.

2) The breakfast although more variety but the taste still lose to Formosa breakfast. Formosa breakfast is more towards quality rather than quantity. One example is the Indonesian "curry" cooked in Formosa breakfast is super delicious.

3) Although hotel is new but experience power failure once. The bad experience is compensated by technician attended to the breakdown promptly by reseting the power trip by adjusting the miniature circuit breaker.

4) Vienna massage is expensive, about 300+k per hour massage as compared to King's massage at 100k per hour. This hotel is good if you have your own booking girl. However if your purpose is massage, then Formosa or Utama is a better choice.

Average for any 3D2N trip to Batam is about 12 rounds (sometime a little lesser,but rarely more). Day 1 didnt go for any massage until evening time after dinner. I had my girl earlier than my usual timing due to Ramadan. King Massage closes at 1am,last order is 12am Batam time.

1. Around 3pm+ my girl comes,scored 2 rounds since the timing to dinner schedule is so far away. (usually girl comes around 5pm but not this trip)

2. all the way no rounds until after dinner,after movie...then King Massage (1 shot),then back to room to have the rest of the round 3, 4 and 5 in the later night with the booking girl.

Words i often carry with me in past postings : Sleep,is for the weak when in Batam (Hehehe...)

3. In case you havent notice,i dont exactly sleep very much in my 3D2N Batam trip. My constantly live update posts in the past continuously between 2am to 6am in my Batam hotel room (written in this thread) shows that,hehehe...

4. The only time i can really sleep in peace was when i am in Batam Massage shops during the day (especially when i have friends around).Thats of course until the massage girl/s woke me up for special service thru their teasing.

5. I checked out late...as in really late on 3rd day,so i have time for 2 x 1 hr massages before lunchtime after my booking girl left. The rest of the massages were on the day before and after lunch.

6. 7 times a day (Day is from sunrise to sunset,Night is from sunset to sunrise) can kill me but 7 times a day and a night wont,hehehe...

7. I am not superman,if i can do it,you can do it too. All you need is an overnight booking girl that belong to the fiercer Rapist category who keeps wanting to cum and the only time i could REALLY rest-up is by giving her all the crappy excuses that i need to go meet my friends somewhere or go temple while in fact i went OUT of the hotel alone to Revitalize myself with herbal food and to sleep (rest) in massage shops.

Just dont go to places where most school holiday goer will likely go to. And during Ramadan,choices were plentiful due to the fact that most cheongsters avoid going Batam during Ramadan where they FEEL choices were limited. I practically have no competition on girls during weekdays except during Friday with some Indians/Bangaleshi and the handful of more intelligent bros who traveled to Batam on a regular basis.

My conclusion: Ramadan is the time where the supply is less,but demand is even lesser hence i see an "illusion" of more girls. School holiday is the type of days that one should avoid the "popular known places" known to most people,eg Nagoya Hill Mall,BCS Mall etc...but not DC Mall,Nagoya City Walk Mall etc. With the right time being in the right places,i should most likely be finding myself in the best of all world in Batam. (not exaggerating)
