Anyone bought ferry tickets to batam from carossel and Qoo10 before? I saw people selling sindo ferry ticketsDoes it really work? If so why people still buy from the counter as it is cheaper from there.

There are some things in Batam that hasnt change over the last 4 odd years during my visit. One of them is the price for the Swee's Curry puff,hehehe...still going at 3k rupiah per piece,hehehe.... :D

https://img2.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26844/2684443224e309a985c8792a7418c2cae6af5bf8.jpg

...as the exchange favors the Singapore dollar now,the curry now cost less than S$0.30 today,hehehe...

go ahead try it...:)

Hmm...i tried, my conclusion is,different hotel using different ISP would sometime be allow to access SBF. Over the last few months,i tried different hotels on different ISP. Some works for a couple of mins before getting block. Some has completely no problem at all.

I have a problem accessing SBF from Zest hotel's wifi network, but i have no problem accessing SBF from Harbour Boutique hotel's wifi network last week. My back up network, Andromax (the mifi thingy) also has no problem with SBF,hehehe... ;)

My solution,be it any ISP i use in Batam, i get a VPN. :p

Usually based on tipoff. Otherwise too disruptive to traffic. There has been instances people trying bring in firearm at HF.
Not to worry, better to have security at constant alert then have to clear the mess later.
Meanwhile keep firing, own time and own target. Keep safe..!!

Stayed at Zest hotel for 2 nights. Already knew the room has no kettle and fridge but still find it inconvenient. Buy fruit cannot keep, buy instant noodles also cannot cook and cannot make coffee :D. Breakfast was basic but ok, vege, chicken, fried rice and noodle or bee hoon, fruits and coffee/tea. All my favourite LOL. I dont go for bread. At first I thought it would be a quiet hotel with not many staying but was rather surprise to see quite a bit though not huge crowd. But there were different groups who came for breakfast and meal/dining.  ... But the hotel is not noisy. The room is small, at most 18sqm.

Massage:
as this is a recce trip, only tried manzu at harborbay mall and Zest in-room. Price for aromatherapy as per advertise. No golden qn at manzu.. anyway is divided by curtain. :(.

As for in-room, the masseur was from swiss-bel. She did ask if I want to massage around birdie area ...but quoted 500k . No discount. So no deal.

I am surprised to read this.
When I am in Batam, let it be on the wifi of JCo, on the Wifi of Formosa, or on Simpati data network, I never had problems to connect to SBF (I use https://www.sammyboyforum.com), but I nevel could connect to any other web site related to sex (including the ISG forum). If I try, I get the red page "Internet Positif", etc. :(
To access those sites, I need a VPN, but never for SBF on that URL (the other one is banned).

Thats my comparison so far and its so much for now. Next thing i shall share on the good and its bad. Why it doesnt command as much business as Swiss Bel and other 2 star hotel in the same area, and things they can improve on if they ever want more business.

Its general still quite a good place to stay in,but like all other hotels i stayed in, i look for loopholes i could cover up on my own so that a no good hotel can be just as good as any other more expensive hotel, yet at a lower price. I try to make these hotels suitable for me.

The Good :

They have a nice bed. A merger of 2 super-sized single bed combined to make it a ultra big King size bed. I think this is their selling bed. I have a girl, the next thing i would be looking for would be GFE. And if i cant have that,i create one,hehehe...oh,the bed...the spring of the bed,no matter how hard you jump on it, you cant move the other parts of the same bed. I can sleep w/o being disturb by my girl while she moves around (from the bed's spring vibration).

https://img8.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26844/268444980a652cf154ab536322e5baf55c73d80a.jpg

Notice the sofa in front of the bed? Thats NOT the main thing as many other hotels in Batam also have the same,...the carpet in front of the sofa is key...we sat there to watch TV,eat to our heart content our meals (and tit-bits etc)...while watching the TV.

One may ask, what so good about watching Television in Batam? Well,i cant be bonking 24 hours round the clock, and moreover,i have 5D4N in Batam...and the television programme in this hotel is the next best thing about this hotel (other than the bed). And they have a VOD (video-on-demand) for the last 1 week's movie too,hehehe....

Check out how many channel they have....

(They use cable Usee TV - from Telkomsel)
https://img7.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26844/268445171ee481b7125ea24f5c2c7b72ca22aab2.jpg

211 of them and of which more than 20 of them were movie/drama-related channels,hehehe...and by the way, the TV is directly opposite the bed. I can also safely leave my girl inside room alone w/o her feeling bore,hehehe...

As one can see, the floor is marble-floored. It would be a bit too cold for comfort to sit on the floor to eat and TCSS but not with that particular carpet beside small sofa. There on the carpet, we had our 1st Richeese snack....

https://img1.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26844/26844531c31fe953a15eb13c2b9366b2cb23a513.jpg

...and when we were tired of eating in...we ate out,hehehe...

https://img6.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26844/268445362dde4017412eceadc49e9e60d2da8e5f.jpg

Its actually the same meal of the same photo from my previous posting below :

https://sbf.net.nz/showpost.php?p=18035603&postcount=12239

Another worthy mention of this hotel,hehehe...the massage room. Thats outside the room where i had my massage.

https://img1.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26844/26844541900586f348a6c8e949ecba4789ba819b.jpg

...and its on the top floor of the hotel. And this below is NOT my room where i have my massage.

(good for 2 girl and 1 man,hehehe..)

http://s29.a304$$$$$/2018/11/21/962f7e6245fd7704b17c8e2886d49097.gif

....and their price, NOT cheap....hehehe...

200856

...but when there is a will,there is a way,hehehe...

200857

...i just dont like to pay so much. (i paid about 170k for a 1.5 hour massage after their 30% off):p

200858

You now see most of the goods about this hotel, the next thing i would be doing would be to talk about all the bads on this hotel,hehehe...and believe me, being a stingy guy, i do have more "bads" to talk about rather than the "goods",hehehe....

BAD! i need some time to write about it...maybe a few days time.

Important Note : Avoid quoting my whole long post if you plan to reply to my current post,my sincere thanks.

u mus hv been a lot of fun in yr last trip ya....lol...i jus post my fun i hv...

Hehehe...it was disastrous in the beginning,hehehe... :p

Since i am quoting your post,i think i will on my way just write all the bads (and some pretty neutral portion) of that hotel with super big balcony i stayed in. As you can see, big room, big beds, big balcony...

https://sbf.net.nz/showpost.php?p=18059186&postcount=12286

Everything is BIG in there. BUT, upon checking into the hotel ,believe it or not,i changed room thrice. Why so? Rooms that were suitable for others may not be suitable for me. The power socket in their room. They only have 4 of them. One was near the bedside, the other was was for the coffee maker, there's for the refrigerator and last one....was outside the balcony.

The one outside the balcony was too far away for my laptop (thats the problem with having very big room),the one near the bed,hmm...i dont like to operate a laptop near bed. The one for the fridge sure cannot touch, right? Left the one near coffee maker, which i use but the connection was intermittent, meaning it connects for a while, then it starts losing connection after a while and i could hear the buzzing electricity sound from the power socket when i plug my laptop power adaptor into it.

I already have a burnt laptop power adaptor in Batam before,so i arent taking the risk. So the room change is inevitable. After 3 room change,i finally found a good one,hehehe...

https://img9.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26853/26853409e67cbe6da49772c63c74f5916e3e48e2.jpg

Yep,i have to borrow a multi-power socket from the hotel, and there goes the next problem. The multi-socket ALSO have an intermittent issue. And that was the last straw,i decide NOT to change room or call the reception guy up anymore. Notice the coffee maker and my laptop power adaptor is sharing the same power socket? Its risky too.

I decide to solve my own problem. So i bought one of the multi-adaptor with fuse at 71k rupiah from GoGo Mart.

https://img4.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26853/268534146185fc7b0ed383d59bee5c3b124130a0.jpg

...and thats not all. I move the coffeemaker to another part of the room table and unplug the refrigerator power socket,so that the coffee maker now share the power source from the fridge,hehehe....

https://img5.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26853/2685341569f86fa295f6524273e962b901f1af94.jpg

The fridge power socket was behind some shelving,so i need to move the shelving to plug into the power adaptor (lots of work,hehehe...). And have the coffee maker's power socket just solely for my personal laptop usage. The others were connected to the power socket near the bedside.

The photo above also shows the sign that how much i will be fine if i were to smoke inside the room, but well...thank heaven there's a balcony. Looking from the way they made the power socket,i believe their targeted customers were mainly Sillyporean (meaning no adaptor problem if you are from Singapore with a 3 pin plug).

Indonesian guest/s with 2 round pin plug will have to force its power plug into the hotel's power socket meant for Singapore's power plug pin. Hence the hotel's power socket end up a little damage which is why the connection becomes intermittent (my analogy,hehehe...).

The next bad thing about this hotel is their in-room food prices. Which seriously pissed me off. This meal was written on its menu at 35k rupiah++....

(there are actually 5 chicken wings,my girl took away one of it,hehehe)
https://img2.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26853/26853432e64bfaa0a07dc1d49ec7a7f2278e50ce.jpg

...but make a guess what was the total bill when it came? Its 63k rupiah...and when i ask for the bill, they gave me a handwritten bill. Its not those that we seen in small eatery shops that was push into a small glass cup kind but one that was written on a piece of clear white plain paper with 63000RP on it (un-itemized).

The photo above was the 2nd meal i had in-room. The 1st one was previously posted on the balcony (in another post (https://sbf.net.nz/showpost.php?p=18059186&postcount=12286)). That one cost about 100k rupiah but the sweet and sour chicken was good and its meant for a 2 person, even tho that was also w/o a bill,i give them a chance. (they tell me receipt machine broke down, ask me go reception to make payment at a later time when i passby) 5 pieces of originally 35k++ small chicken which were not nicely made, later costing 63k rupiah is not a good deal. This would likely be my last hotel meal with them (unless my girls wish to order from them). In room food menu may look cheap, but please do order with caution,hehehe...as its end day bill could be nearly double.

The next thing i am going to talk about is not going to be consider all bad,in fact i call it "not good" becos the hotel brand themselves 3 star (boutique-style) but yet did not live up to that name (expectation issue).

Their breakfast styling...

https://img9.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26853/2685344971b06eb68b33f937073d1dfa4f12278b.jpg

3 star hotel, serving breakfast the 2 star way,hehehe....i dont consider this all bad becos they do have some good in them (i call it neutral, meaning not good nor bad).

The minus point :

https://img0.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26853/26853450ac636faa9fa23b57bbd61e80a8cbc261.jpg

Notice the piece of red cloth, the upside down glass and the fork and spoon on the table? Their breakfast is suppose to a self-service buffet breakfast. There wont be anyone serving breakfast on the table like a regular western restaurant, why were they making breakfast so difficult that those items were on the table.

In Formosa hotel breakfast time, those items were cleared from the dining table, leaving only the essential like salt, pepper, toothpick etc. Not fork and spoon, glass cup, hanky and the such. It is only AFTER breakfast time (lunchtime, dinner time etc), these items would be displayed.

I have to get the waiteress to remove those utensils before eating my breakfast. Otherwise there will be a table space to put up my food,hehehe...

201690

Now for the breakfast plus point... (quite a few of them)

Morning 9am,there wasnt a single human eating breakfast except me and my girls,hehehe...notice the staffs werent around too when i took the video?

https://s2.gifyu.com/images/a17e65085dcc15411c.gif

There is always 2 sides of the coins, while breakfast may be 2 star, but the good thing is nobody eats in the breakfast room. I feel like a King eating fairly good quality breakfast,hehehe...let's not forget they also have a outdoor smoking area with 3 tables for smokers. (breakfast was on the 2nd floor)

201691

And you might probably notice, there are 2 staffs in the photo above. They came to help us make some non-crispy roti prata and fried eggs,hehehe...thumbs up to these staffs for that. At least i see some effort there.

201692

I like the outdoor breakfast idea where i can smoke in the open area after eating, but whenever there is something good, there will be an opposite bad. Open area is good only if its not raining (or not too sunny) and too bad for me, my 2nd day breakfast time,it rains....and the area is all wet when i arrived.

201699

But at least i do get to see both the good and bad on things i like to have. Or the least, they should have dry the table outside after the rain, isnt it?

Anyway on my 2nd day breakfast, i saw 2 tables occupied (excluding mine),which i believe is becos of the wet weather, hence guest/s are eating in instead of stepping out.

Overall, i think this is still a hotel worth going back to. Why so,you may ask...hehehe...that was becos its a hotel not many goes to. No business can sometime equates to better quality service.

Improvement that this hotel can do....

1. Have a big curtain covering at least 80% outside the balcony of the 600k rupiah room,so others cannot look in from outside (those balcony rooms facing front of hotel can be seen by people walking between the bridge connecting Harbour Bay mall and Harbour Bay ferry terminal).

201713

Everyone needs privacy, tho i can still order the 650k rupiah room with a double size balcony facing the back of the hotel, but they eventually made the 600k rupiah room redundant, isnt it? For around 600k rupiah, there are lots better room in Batam...when the balcony become redundant.

2. They have a very big balcony for the 650k rupiah room (yes, its bigger than the 1 juta room),but they didnt have a BBQ pit,hehehe...yes,the balcony is big enough for BBQ but they didnt do that, perhaps they were afraid of stinking the room but well...its their choice to make.

(my balcony is bigger than Zest Hotel room size and facing back of hotel building for privacy)
201716

3. The food prices on its menu would better be priced nett,so as to avoid confusion between staffs and guest/s. No one likes hidden cost in what they buy, especially when the hotel is targeting 1st world customers. Worse when the hidden cost is around 40% higher than quoted. I feel cheated,hehehe... even when the price isnt high.

4. They should at least have 2 proper chairs in the room, and one of them must must have a back rest. My room has 2 chairs tho,one w/o a back rest, the other one....

(photo taken from web to illustrate the chair)
201715

...and thats not a proper chair to me when i work on my laptop.

5. The boss/staffs of the hotel should stay in Formosa for a night. Yes,i bench-marked nearly every Batam hotel with Formosa, hence using their standard to grade the good and bad of it all. I can see the staffs were desperate for business,i can see they try hard,i even feel they try to make me comfortable from all their effort. But they need to get the hotel's basic amenities right 1st (bed, toilet, lightings, power socket etc).

6. Point number 6 is a last min add-on which i suddenly remembered. Thats the hotel room's toilet (the 600k and 650k ones), they have a toilet almost as big as Zest hotel's room size (about 3 times formosa's toilet, can fit in one queen side bed too) yet they didnt have a bath tub or some fancy-looking standing shower point? Its really a waste....not forgetting there's no bath robe.

The next time if i were to visit this hotel again,i am likely to try their long-stay room. No Balcony (if i didnt remember wrong),but it has a mini kitchen and a dinning area (dont know can smoke of not,hehehe...).

201714

Worse case scenario, just take back the 650k rupiah balcony room as i find it better than the 600k rupiah and the regular 500k rupiah room. As for the 2 storey 1 juta room,seriously...the stairway leading up the balcony is quite narrow, and high. Classy but yet overly-priced compared with the 650k room with balcony. And the Batam City Hotel's Royal suite room definitely beats Harbour Boutique's 1 juta 2 storey room by at least 2 hands down (walk-in 1 juta room versus walk-in 1 juta room comparison),hehehe...

201738

The main comfort i have in this trip is,i didnt make the wrong choice staying in this Harbour Boutique hotel, even tho it does have quite a handful things that i didnt quite like. Well, there's good and bad in every hotel room i stayed in (including Formosa),just like this room...with a fairly good view,hehehe....

(in another hotel i stayed in)
201729

So much for now...hehehe...i will continue to try out other older hotels in Batam. Am not someone who just need a bed for 2 person when i go to Batam, but more of one who would look for suitability. What is most suitable, would be my best. There's no perfect room for myself for sure, but with the bits and pieces added up,i can create my very own...perfect room. Just like my special room in Formosa.

Happy reading but be considerate and please, do avoid quoting my whole long post if you plan to reply to my post, otherwise your posting might have a high chance of being remove by a mod.

Thank you for reading and Happy Cheonging in Batam.

A girl who agree to meet you and share a bed with you, she should be working for extra money. Not for her body needs. You can find thousands of girls from social apps from batam.

Thanks for yours advice. So far she didn't mention $$$ yet. But end of the days, whether can bonk or not, I'll still still give her.as I know it's not easy to survive with those measly salary in batam.

before u bk hotel, tell them the time of yr arrival. During weekdays & non-public holiday eve, most hotels in btm, wn't hv an issue on early check in,unless hotel is still new.

It's wat i often do...

Enjoying my Day 1 of virgin solo batam trip (using a free dfs voucher on majestic ferry from TMFT to BCFT, before it expires, tax is $21 at TM and IDR65000 at BC).

Thanks to all the insightful and helpful info from bro nono73 and other bros here. It's really true that Formosa (booked from agoda at $41) is a vantage point to many amenities and facilities. Bluebird taxi from BC to Formosa is 52k and King's massage is 110k/hr. Only downside is no safe deposit box in own room. Used lobby safe box instead.

Didn't walk much to many joints due to hot weather at 12-1pm. Easily found JV Happy8 and Sekar (new berry). Settled for 1 young milf cewek at Happy8 for 1.1M (reduced from 1.3M). Before that already told mami that i don't have supir.

Heading out for dinner soon. Stay tuned for updates. Cheers!

Dear Bro NONO,

Thank you for a wonderful explanation of all the wonderful "things" available on Batam.
I have a favour to ask, Can you please confirm the FK joints still available in 2018? Victor

. Link's KTV
2. MM Massage
3. Bunga (Batam most expensive)
4. JV Happy 8
5. Sri Kandy
6. Hawaii KTV (ex. Dolly/Shellina)
7. Kupu Kupu Massage (ex. Tulip Massage)

Note : JV Happy 8,Sri Kandy, Links , Kupukupu and Bunga were partnered shops.

Old time booking joints BEFORE i stepped into Batam were :

1. Gold Bird KTV (girls still having near 100% book out rate daily)
2. Memory KTV
3. Orchid KTV (very low number of girls)
4. Permata Indah KTV (New Berry + Indah 2 merged)
5. Moonlight Massage (very low number of girls)
6. ????
7. ???? (did i miss out any others?)

Note : Permata Indah and MM were partnered shops

is a pity harborbay mall cannot make it
lack of human traffic ...

As long as i am not targeting Harbour Bay Mall as part of my trip itinerary, things would be fine. As a matter of fact, the entire harbour bay ferry terminal area is close to a dead town by 8pm Batam time; if i dont count those seaside restaurants, M1 and Galaxy KTV.

Why i choose Harbour Bay recently? Thats becos...

1. Octopuss is just about 10 mins walk away.

2. Gogo supermarket is about 5 mins walk away.

3. Theater is also about 5 mins walk away.

4. Getting to at least half a dozen Massage shops that closes itself around (or near) midnight were also about 5 mins walk away,hehehe... (and i didnt count in Octopuss as part of those half dozen)

5. The MP you mentioned saying i said that were closed before,...has reopened.

6. Taxi fare in that area is 30k rupiah to anywhere around Nagoya,if not lesser.

7. I wont be stuck in hotel all the time if i refuse to pay taxi fare anyway,hehehe...there's free shuttle service in nearly every hotel there.

8. Booking joint around that area? hehehe...i...dont...know...where...but my friend did book a 19 year old girl there at 1.1 juta, which was recently mentioned.

9. I can hotel-hop in circle for fun there too. ;)

10. Less traffic, less people, lesser in-bound customers, hence chances of being treat with better service is higher too.

I am not sure how other travelers think, but to me,a Gold watch selling in Nagoya Hill Mall can cost 250k rupiah, but its being displayed at DC Mall,i would probably see it selling at 125k rupiah.

I apply the same theory to M1 and Galaxy (other MPs too),hehehe... :p

I booked this place once. Balcony facing opposite run down building! LOL!!!

I understand where you were coming from. But this doesnt bother me a bit since i book a 4 storey hotel (not expecting any scenery on the 4th floor rooftop) and i am looking for a quiet place to have a good time. Then again, there is one same issue that may be bothersome to some.

(3rd floor room, opposite the balcony photo which i took)
202147

Its not exactly a run down building,hehehe...i would call it an almost deserted building (the entire stretch of blocks were empty). And it doubles my "fun" when me and my girls were watching some horror film at night and halfway later, step out there to take a puff,hehehe.... ;)

The hotel has 221 TV channels,of which more than 20 of them were movie-related channels (i like the channel called "Thrill"). They also have video-on-demand (aka VOD),where i can catch the one week backdated movies/shows. On top of that, the bed of my room is VERY BIG,you know. :D

https://sbf.net.nz/showpost.php?p=18067390&postcount=12301

Notice the ambiance i built up there already...

(it really depends on what one is looking for in a particular hotel,i have a different expectation for different hotel and looked forward to something else)

*next year 2019,i might be targeting hotels with swimming pool,hehehe...

Firstly, thank you to bro nono for the information and updates, and other bros who may have contributed indirectly one way or another. Would like to post my experience while my memory is still fresh from the trip.

Had a virgin trip from last Saturday to Sunday (2 days 1 night), with my base camp chosen at Batam Harbour Boutique Hotel. Similar to the other bro who's a bathtub/jacuzzi lover, I would prefer places with a good bathtub (albeit an luxury option for me). However, Formosa and Vienna rates shot up sharply one day before my intended trip, so I decided to choose a hotel closer to the harbour area for a start that is still within my planning budget.

==============================

The following post below are of my personal experiences.

Pre-Trip

Booked a two-way trip with Horizon Fast scheduled at 1415hrs.
Reached around 12 plus. Was advised by the counter staff that they still have tickets for 1315hrs and asked if I wanted to check in immediately. Took up the exchange offer since I am traveling solo.

Day 1

Batam Harbour Boutique Hotel

Note: They require a 200k security deposit upfront which will be returned upon checking out.

The first room they assigned to me was a room with twin beds on the ground floor. Did a quick check and realized the TV was not working despite several attempts to switch it on. Requested for the counter staff to check and he offered to do a room exchange with a single king size bed. It was still on the ground floor and facing towards the road. There's no view for this room but didn't really matter much to me.

In the replacement room, the heater plug was pulled out and I had to get the counter staff to use a scissors to get it back inside (apparently they denied my request to borrow a scissors due to safety reasons which I understood the rationale)

Exchanged at the money changer near the hotel @ 2.1 juta for 200 SGD, similar to xe rate at 1.056 though many shops were offering at 1.04 juta.

After settling down and getting my supplies from the mall supermarket nearby, decided to start my "hunt".

1. Adorabella Spa (third floor of Pacific Palace hotel)

Note: There's a stretch of road without proper walkway pavements with ongoing construction works if you intend to walk over to this place. Do take note if you intend to travel via this option.

This spa was discovered by accident as I intended to look for Octopuss spa, but somehow the lift only goes up to level 3. After searching through the hotel for alternate routes (and almost trespassing a kitchen at level 4), I gave up and settled for this spa instead.
(Need experienced bros to advise how do I even reach the place if the lifts doesn't bring me to level 8, or if I'm in the wrong section of the hotel?)

Was assigned a female masseur, slightly petite but had decent strength. The room I was assigned to had a bathtub beside the massage bed though it was not utilized.

Damage: 275k @ 90mins

2. Namii Massage
The most expensive clean massage of all my trips, but the female masseur I had was one of the best masseurs I had out of the 4 places. Her strength was perfect covering all areas. My body was literally on ragdoll mode when she did the back/leg stretches.

Damage: 340k @ 120mins (plus 51k tax @ 15%)

3. Alamanda Spa (in-hotel spa)
When I exited the lift, I spotted a few ladies (most likely their staffs) leaving the spa smiling at me as they entered into the lift. I made a critical mistake of not verifying if there's any female masseurs left available, which I was assigned a male masseur instead!

Wasn't really bothered since I have my tolerance set for male masseurs. His strength was slightly soft as compared to other masseurs. Got grabbed in the crotch a few times while he was massaging my thighs but #nohomo.

The counter staff and her female colleague was not really friendly which they seemed to be more interested in what was going on in their phones instead.

Damage: 270k @ 120mins

4. Massage shop located at previous Ocean Spa joint

Walked past after ending my session #2 while exploring, which a dude popped out from the door and waved at me to enter shortly but I was already far off so I decided to check back later. Ocean is no longer there as it is replaced by a ktv, however there's still a massage shop. Whether if it's under a new management or anot, I've no idea.

Went back around 11pm and was greeted by another person. Opted for 90 mins "sensual" massage (bad mistake here tbh), but the entire duration probably lasted a hour. Was quoted FJ for 500k. Tried to bargain down as per bro nono's tips, but failed. FYI, she was already squeezing my face with her huge boobs (iirc D size?) so I wasn't even in a good position to bargain with. :p

She gave me a shower in the bathtub before I left (though I didn't really wanted to get inside the tub as it looks old with the stains), felt like a kid getting washed up instead as she cleans up every area thoroughly.

Overall, an interesting experience for the night... :D

Damage: 380k(?) + 500k

Somewhere between #3 and #4, I recalled my WeChat account getting blocked (and unable to self-unblock because it requires another active WeChat account which neither my friend nor family members have an account). Decided to get a sim card from the place bro nono suggested. It takes a while to register, so once you receive the SMS from the telco you should be set. Got a new WeChat account in less than 10 minutes.

Just a side note, don't use android simulators for WeChat. My main account was banned because of that.

Day 2

Woke up around 9am and had the free breakfast (though there wasn't really much left, went for the typical koko krunch + milk instead). Decided to laze around in bed until 11am before checking out.

I still have enough cash left so I was thinking between Manzu or Eska, went for Eska instead because I intended to take up a 2 hour massage and don't intend to rush for my boarding which was at 2pm.

5. Eska Spa (second floor of Bayfront shopping centre)

This place looks brand new with facilities that feels more appeasing as compared to other joints.

For the final massage, I was served by a female masseur. Strength wise, she is decent but focuses abit more on the lower body. Overall a good massage before the departing trip.

Damage: 310k (plus 31k tax @ 10%)

==============================

Overall summary:
Enjoyed my trip, though I should be more cautious with my spending in terms of massages. :p

Food wise I spent quite little since most of the local food doesn't fancy me that much.

Some things I've learnt & noted from this trip:

1. If in doubt if there's female masseurs available, always ask. Some massage places like Namii and Eska will ask in advance if you prefer a male or female masseur.

2. "Sensual" massages are probably the same as those "prostate massages" in SG. Just opt for the normal massages and you'll never get "buyers regret".

3. Tax seems to vary each massage joint. For the budget conscious people, consider asking the counter staff in advance and decide accordingly.
Adorabella Spa and Alamanda Spa doesn't require me to pay in advance, whereas the remaining places requires upfront payment before the service.

4. It may be good to carry a travel adapter if you intend to charge your devices.

That said, looking forward to my next trip. Probably will settle myself nearer to Nagoya instead. :D

Note: I'm more of a massage lover than ST/LT stuff. But who knows if this might change over time? :D

It's yr virgin trip, bro. U shldn't be following bro nono's plan on staying ard HB bcs he's on the intermediate lvl when he stays around there looking for something u want. Almost every clean MP has been made dirty whenever he goes. :D

Instead ,u shld bk hotel that are close by to formosa/vienna instead & follow closely his newbie walkthrough he wrote.

Note: They require a 200k security deposit upfront which will be returned upon checking out.

If u are comfortable to leave yr passport with the reception during yr stay, there wn't be a need for them to collect a deposit upfront, just fyi.

i'd suggest Zest hotel if u plan to stay in HB again.

Abt 40% cheaper, yet better in room maintenance. No coffeemaker or fridge in room.

Pacific Palace is consist of 2 blocks, just like BatamCity Hotel in BCS area. U went to the wrong block, bro. Adorabella Spa has been around almost as long Octopuss, next time feel free to ask the receptionist/security inside the hotel for location, they'll be please to give u a direction there.

2. Namii Massage

What time were u there?

thx,i ask cos i think on a on/off time/date/season,they do have some promo going on.

3. Alamanda Spa (in-hotel spa)

Even without verifying, when the massage man turn up in yr room/cubicle,u can always suggest a change. If i dnt r'ber wrong, nono says happy-hr was before 4pm from the time it opens for business. Too bad ,u were there on weekend.

Next time, just take up their basic 180k/1.5hr massage package will do. Other things u want, just neg privately with the massage girls. They earn more, they'll be happier. Happier could mean better service.

Some info i think u may find useful :

a) u can still leave yr luggage at hotel recep after u check out & come back to collect later (u will be issued a tag,dn't lose it)

b) u can change yr departure time (@ horizon 2nd flr of Bayfront Mall)even after it's being confirmed

c) Eska just start business 15th Nov 18,it's a good time to try NOW due to some girls still new in the trade (thx nono for this info)

d) Manzu is worthy of a try too,it's the lowest priced MP around HB & give really good quality massage. Except the part of foot reflexology which is mostly done by guys.

Few more months down the road, this place will start rotting. ;)

Good that u tried now.

Overall summary:
Enjoyed my trip, though I should be more cautious with my spending in terms of massages.

It's a weekend trip,so spending can be higher than on weekday.

Food wise I spent quite little since most of the local food doesn't fancy me that much.

Try the food store opposite the supermarket u went to. Cheap & good food there & is dining inside aircon.

Some things I've learnt & noted from this trip:

1. If in doubt if there's female masseurs available, always ask. Some massage places like Namii and Eska will ask in advance if you prefer a male or female masseur.

Up u my humble pts for yr sharing. i commented i upped u for sharing by 11 pts,& forgetting i'm already power 13. :D

Have a better nxt trip.

2. "Sensual" massages are probably the same as those "prostate massages" in SG. Just opt for the normal massages and you'll never get "buyers regret".

Take up their most basic first, the 180k/1.5hr massage service. The other packages were pretty much crappy. Every other things can be negotiated with yr massage girl.

3. Tax seems to vary each massage joint. For the budget conscious people, consider asking the counter staff in advance and decide accordingly.
Adorabella Spa and Alamanda Spa doesn't require me to pay in advance, whereas the remaining places requires upfront payment before the service.

U paid nett 270k for 2hr for traditional massage in Alamanda, isn't it? or was it other type of massage? Where does not tax come into picture?

4. It may be good to carry a travel adapter if you intend to charge your devices.

Multi adaptor cost abt $1.50 in the super market u went to. ;)

That said, looking forward to my next trip. Probably will settle myself nearer to Nagoya instead. :D

Note: I'm more of a massage lover than ST/LT stuff. But who knows if this might change over time? :D

U seems to be rushing. Going to so many massage shp in just a 2d1n trip. I wn't be able to enjoy myself like that.

For myself, i prefer to go to long hr of massage service, like 3-4 hr+ massage with one girl & burnt my half day there. I believe it's everyone's dream, to have a good massage, follow by a good no-rush happy ending. I aimed for that too, which is why i choose those clean mp recommended by nono.

Next time, try staying near formosa/utama area, especially when u still new. ;)

That is what I repeated countless times. No way I would recommend a friend to go to Batam Center if he plans to stay in Nagoya.
Still, there will be always someone who will argument that it is possible to bargain here and there, and get to save say 5 dollars by going to Batam Center instead of Harbour Bay.

Time to bargain and drive from BC to Nagoya is NO LESS than 30 mins, I would say 45 mins at least. Time from HB to Nagoya is 10 mins max. No way I would consider my time and the hassle of travelling via BC worth $5!!
(but I understand that some others may weight 5 SGD differently vs. their own time: everyone has his own priorities)

Who may not be comfortable with leaving the passport at the hotel reception, especially in the safe box?? And because afraid of what??
The hotel is undoubtedly the safest place where you can leave your passport when you travel abroad.
You want to keep it with you at all times? Think about what will happen if you lose it somewhere, or if they steal it with your money.
Many years ago on a trip in USA I had my passport in my office bag (I was so stupid that I forgot to leave it in my room). Someone smartly opened it and removed the money and passport quickly while I was looking away. I risked to stay there for weeks before getting a substitute document from Embassy.

during my 2 nights stay in Zest hotel at harbor bay area, getting meals almost become a problem to me!

thought I saw many food stalls around the ferry terminal area but none suits me. As the place was kinda "deserted", the stalls also like half open. Almost like doing "own people" business only.

and then HarborBay mall. 80-90% empty so the choice is super limited especially at night. The hope for any fast food is zero.

As a "newbie", suddenly mind was blank on where to find food. :D ... forgot there was a Malaya Cafe nearby.

then the seafood restaurants appeared in front of me like GOD.

quickly get a super late lunch cum tea-break ... seafood fried rice, from Bay City. The boss is a chinese and he speaks hokkien .... heng ah. Then fried noodle again at night after my massage at Manzu.

2nd day lunch at Nagoya A&W, then dinner fried rice again from Bay City. :D

It's yr virgin trip, bro. U shldn't be following bro nono's plan on staying ard HB bcs he's on the intermediate lvl when he stays around there looking for something u want. Almost every clean MP has been made dirty whenever he goes. :D

I was looking for "something",hehehe...i learned that Batam still have a lot of very old time MPs that no one is trying out or even rarely mentioned,hehehe...new and old places has a different culture. More stable MPs with less raids....well,even tho their girls keep changing,hehehe...

Hope u & yr friends can go try it out one at a time.

i'd suggest Zest hotel if u plan to stay in HB again.

Abt 40% cheaper, yet better in room maintenance. No coffeemaker or fridge in room.

This is the 1st time i have been craving for another hotel's breakfast over my past 4 odd years of Batam trips. Before my last trip,i actually crave for it,hehehe....now,i am a happy man.

i tink someone has already replied yr question some pages away from this thread. U might have hit the "ignore" button on that person. :p

To me,there's no "official price" from hb to nagoya & vice versa. If u look at the taxi price chart at the Nagoya Hill mall taxi stand,it say something like 70k or 90k rp. i've seen with my very eyes people paying as high as 150k to btm ctr from nagoya hill mall & 100k from btm ctr to nagoya hill.

Thk god, the fare from hb to nagoya hill mall is now nett @ 30k rp,unless one is lost or blinded from the sign board shown there.

can bros advise normally how much should the taxi fare be and where to take taxi at nagoya mall to harbor bay

One word to describe the taxi drivers & taxi touts in Nagoya hill mall...Arrogant! They're btm most arrogant people & dn't deserve a single rp from my wallet. I will not take a taxi from nagoya hill mall, not even if someone pays me a million rp to do so :D. I walk out of nagoya hill mall area to hail a taxi or simply arrange a taxi to pick me up from my hotel, costing abt 50k rp,if not otherwise free.

It's yr virgin trip, bro. U shldn't be following bro nono's plan on staying ard HB bcs he's on the intermediate lvl when he stays around there looking for something u want. Almost every clean MP has been made dirty whenever he goes.

Instead ,u shld bk hotel that are close by to formosa/vienna instead & follow closely his newbie walkthrough he wrote.

So bro nono is a "defiler" huh... :D

I was initially planning to book either Formosa/Vienna, but during the last moment when I tried to book the hotels it costed as much as $98/$128 even on the cheapest deal, so I decided I'll stay elsewhere since I didn't wanted to cut into my spending budget as I planned to get everything done without adjusting my budget too much.

If u are comfortable to leave yr passport with the reception during yr stay, there wn't be a need for them to collect a deposit upfront, just fyi.

Hmms, this was definitely not the case for me though. When I checked in, they did take my passport for verification, but somehow after a while they returned the passport to me even though I didn't say anything about not wanting them to keep the passport.

I'm generally okay with them keeping my passport until I check-out.

i'd suggest Zest hotel if u plan to stay in HB again.

Abt 40% cheaper, yet better in room maintenance. No coffeemaker or fridge in room.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will take that into consideration (though no fridge may be a slight dealbreaker, but I'm fine drinking canned drinks as it is)

Duly noted. I guess sometimes failures does lead to other interesting places too. :D

What time were u there?

thx,i ask cos i think on a on/off time/date/season,they do have some promo going on.

I was there around 5.40pm, since I traveled back from Adorabella via foot and went to have dinner and grabbing additional supplies.

Even without verifying, when the massage man turn up in yr room/cubicle,u can always suggest a change. If i dnt r'ber wrong, nono says happy-hr was before 4pm from the time it opens for business. Too bad ,u were there on weekend.

I initially wanted to request for a swap the moment I heard the masseur voice, but then I've never tried having a male masseur doing a full body massage so I just continued as long as he does not try to do anything funny. When he grabbed my crotch, I was on cautious mode, but nothing further happened from that.

Sometimes life is full of surprises, I guess...

Yeah, I noted of the happy hour only after I got my SIM card and was checking through the last few posts.

Next time, just take up their basic 180k/1.5hr massage package will do. Other things u want, just neg privately with the massage girls. They earn more, they'll be happier. Happier could mean better service.

This was my mistake which I failed to abide on (even though I did so for #1 - #3 and #5). I'd need more self-discipline to be able to make better judgement. :(

Except the part of foot reflexology which is mostly done by guys.

a) The counter staff did told me this, but considering the fact that:
1. By the time the massage is done it will be around 1pm +, which is the boarding time for the ferry. And it will take some time to go back and return back.
2. Apparently the 2pm ferry was ALMOST FULL when I booked the tickets on day 1 because a group of 4 tried to book the same timing (possibly with the free tickets) and the staff was telling them directly of the situation which I overheard while queuing up.

I probably would have left my bag at the hotel if not for #2, then again I was on light mode (1 10L bag with 1 set of clothes and powerbank), so not much issues carrying my bag around.

b) The 2pm ferry was planned as I needed some time to settle down after reaching back since the day after is a working day.

d) Would have tried Manzu as well if I woke up earlier. :D

It's a weekend trip,so spending can be higher than on weekday.

Not much leave left for me this year, so no choice but to combo in between the upcoming public holidays. So next trip could be either xmas week or new years eve, if not next year.

Try the food store opposite the supermarket u went to. Cheap & good food there & is dining inside aircon.

I would have tried if it wasn't fully occupied by Singaporeans twice when I went lol. :D

U paid nett 270k for 2hr for traditional massage in Alamanda, isn't it? or was it other type of massage? Where does not tax come into picture?

For all trips (except #4) it was traditional massage. Apologies if you might have misunderstood it wrongly.

What I mean was some spas do not show the full price with tax whereas some spa states the full price including tax.

Adorabella's menu was 275k, paid the same price stated.
Namii's menu was 340k, but paid 391k total after tax.
Alamanda's menu was 270k, paid the same price stated.
Eska's menu was 310k, but paid 341k total after tax.

Iirc I don't see any lines stating price was w/o gst for Namii and Eska. I could be wrong about this though.

U seems to be rushing. Going to so many massage shp in just a 2d1n trip. I wn't be able to enjoy myself like that.

Honestly I'd feel my trip wasn't really rushed, since most of the time I was just casually walking back and forth between places and at times stopping for a while trying to spot points of interest while en-route. But if I could do a 4 hour massage, I might consider reducing down to probably 3 massages per day... :P

Interesting. How do you get them to book a 3-4 hours massage?
Though I think it's kinda risky for them since doing 3-4 hours straight, scared they kena hand cramps from all the pressing. :p

Comparing to SG standards, most already CMI after 1.5hours. Yet when I did the massages in batam their strength feels the same throughout the entire duration.

Next time, try staying near formosa/utama area, especially when u still new.

Yeah, hopefully the booking rates don't jump on me again like how it did the other time.

Also thanks for the ups. I've returned you with some green apples as well. :)

You can use Gojek or Grab app that can order food online and order car..All you need to do is to download and order the food that you want and when the rider came just pay them in cash...This is what i would recommend if u cant find the suitable food that you want to eat..

Hi bro!

Just checking if you're interested in going together for your next trip! I'm a newb so I'd prefer going with someone and it seems like you're mainly into massage (which aligns with my interests). Of course, I'm also interested in the 'unclean side'... ;)

Anyone can advise where is the location of thise chinese named booking joints?

Bro,

Please read my FR to get the names of the booking joints which I believed are operated mostly by Chinese.

Just back from a quick 2D1N trip to Batam with 2 old kakis and 2 new friends. We took Majestic Fast Ferry to the Batam Centre Ferry Terminal arriving there around 10am. Thereafter, our regular driver sent us to Eatern Food Court for our fish soup lunch and some shopping at the Penium Market and BCS Mall before driving to our hotel in Nagoya. We started our walking tour after 1pm later than usual because of the shopping and slow check-in and moved along on our usual route towards Formosa Hotel, where 1 member changed some money at rate of 1.058 juta IDR per S$100. This rate was adjusted upwards from 1.055 juta to match the rate obtained by us by the money changer in the Batam Ferry Terminal.

We visited the JV Happy8 Massage, it was crowded as usual with many potential clients but the quality of the remaining ceweks was disappointing. The new member brought us to the New Berry Massage followed by the Link Massage but we were unable to get our preferred ceweks. Thereafter, we continued the tour and move to the Gold Bird Massage. The ceweks here were quite reasonable but the mami wanted 1.5 juta for LT, which we felt were on the high side. We decided to continue our tour by moving back towards Happy8 and Hans Inn.

Our next joint was 99 Massage just after the Hans Inn but the stock there was poor. Crossing the road to the Havanna KTV which was very dark as usual and climbing the stars to view the sleeping ceweks at L2 and L3. One kaki selected a cewek. The rest continued the tour to MM Massage but stocks there were on the low side with mostly meaty beefcakes and porkchops remaining. Another kaki selected a cewek at 1.1 juta.

The rest of the group walked to Sri Kandy Massage where 2 young ceweks were booked at 1.2 juta each. We tried the Kapu Kapu Massage in the vicinity but stock quality was poor. The remaining member decided to go back to New Berry to book his cewek and the group went back to the hotel for the day.

Hi bros,
Just wanna share my virgin solo trip to batam. After reading extensively of posts from bro nono and other bros, I decided to try exploring batam.

In short, i went to batam harbor bay, massage at manzu, check in da vienna hotel, massage at A3 massage, massage at octopuss, massage at spa secret, back to sg.

I went on the 29-nov, Thursday. I took the 1045 horizon ferry to harbor bay, I upgraded to biz class $10 per way, so total cost is sgd$68. Biz class is upper deck of ferry, nice big seats, 1 small bottle of water. You get to exit ferry first and u get the priority queue at batam immigration. When reach batam, I decied to go to manzu massage at harbor bay mall. I walked to harbor bay mall and on the way I changed $200 @ 10400. Upon reaching the mall, it seems deserted, many shops closed and no customers, maybe weekday morning. I proceed to 2nd lvl and found manzu at the other end of the mall. It was about 1130 and seem like I was the first customer. I took 2hrs massage @ 170k. massage was not bad mattress on the floor and partitioned by curtains.. After massage I went to B1 where there was a gogo supermarket and bought some supplies. After that I took taxi to da vienna boutique hotel. The taxi driver quoted 50k, but I said 30k and the accepted. I booked the junior suite on agoda @ sgd$60. Room was nice and spacious, only issue was the bath tub. I thought it was going to be a bath tub with Jacuzzi function as it was stated as whirlpool bathtub on the website. Turns out to be only a bigger-than-normal square bathtub. Also the refrigerator is a cooler, so not that cold. There is kettle, safe, 2 tvs and sofa. After shower I walked to Nagoya hill mall to eat A&W.

Time was around 1530. Decided to head to utama area for massage/fj. Couldn’t see any taxi around, then someone on motorbike called out to me, taxi? As I was about to walk to him, another man called me if I want taxi, this time is normal car. I said I wanted to go DC mall, he quoted 60k, I said 30k and he told me 40k, I walked away to the motorbike. I said DC mall how much, he said 15k. I double confirm it’s not 50k as in Thailand, motorbike is actually more expensive than regular taxi. Confirm it’s 15k, and I got on. I got off behind DC mall. I walked around looking for massage places. I saw all those mentioned here, hello kitty massage, sweet massage, Barbie massage and many more. I decided to try A3 massage. Took 1hr 150k. rooms were pretty run down just 1 mattress on the floor and paint on the wall are pealing and moldy. Throughout massage, was bitten by mosquitos. Was quote 500k for fj. Bargained to 300k, after deed went to toilet to wash up, toilet only has a big pail and a scoop. Told myself can’t massage this area as other massage place condition should be about the same. I’m those kind of people that attracts mosquitos, so if try another place here will sure be bitten jia lat. So went to DC mall to have a drink and research my next move. Decided to try Octopuss next.

I got a taxi from DC mall to Pacific Palace hotel @40k. told driver that I staying there and not going to octopuss as I scared that my next massage price would be more as some commission would go to driver. Reached hotel and couldn’t find octopuss, asked reception and found out that it was at the back. At octopuss there was 2 package. Package A is book room and massage 1hr with hj, can’t choose girl. Package B is book girl with basic room and fj included. I took package B, girls got 3 grades, silver, gold and platinum. If I remember correctly silver is 700k+, gold is 800k+, platinum is 1200k+. I took a gold girl. Service was pretty bad. Can see that she was trying to end it with hj. After some time then started cowgirl, less than a min asked me on top. Said she tired, after some time I couldn’t cum as abit no mood already. Then I said tired, we sleep la. I tink we laid there for about 20 mins then go shower. After that she asked for tips but didn’t give her, I said cannot finish and no service, then she just kept quiet as she knows she didn’t do much. I then proceeded to use the facilities there. Got sauna and hot pool, steam room out of order. Paid 827250.

Went off at around 2000, Pacific Palace hotel location bad for getting a cab. So I approach the taxi stand of the hotel, said I wanted to go Nagoya Hill Mall. Was quoted 68k can’t bargain. Lan lan cos can’t get cab there anyway. Told the driver I wanted to go majestic massage, he recommended spa secret instead. At spa secret I took 90min hot stone massage @ 360k. Massage was very good, on massage bed, I would recommend this place for proper massage. After massage, took a taxi back to hotel. Was quoted 50k, I know it was expensive, but I told him 50k but I want him to bring me to buy satay first before going back to hotel. He brought me to stall in front of Nagoya hill mall. I bought 20 mutton 10 beef and 2 rice @90k. Ate dinner at hotel room. Decided to go back early next day as most of my money was spent already.

Next day woke up 0630, went for breakfast. Breakfast was not bad, got the usual porridge, bread, waffle, cereal, rice and egg station. Checked out at 730 and took hotel taxi to Harbor Bay, gave the taxi 60k. I got the 0845 ferry. I went around looking for shops to spend all my left over money. Bought half kueh lapis @ 225k and some candy. Gave all my small change to the shop keeper. I proceed into immigration and because I was biz class, there was a biz lounge to wait in, got coffee, tea and some cold drinks, got big sofa to sit and chill. Back at sg, once alight from ferry, everyone was running. I guess it’s because of the queue at immigration, lucky the self-service kiosk no queue.

My after thoughts on this trip, batam is really good for cheap and good massages. As for the bonking aspect, it was quite disappointing in terms of service. As my playground is in JB, price wise is comparable. Normal massage with fj is at most rm200. Men’s health centre massage with facilities is around rm240, somemore got makan and can watch movie. I was charged idr20k for 1 bottle of water at octopuss. Maybe batam is good for those bros who wants to book a lady overnight. It’s not my kind of thing as I’m a 1 shot guy and I feel awkward spending the night with a stranger. Maybe if I got a regular there, it would be different.

Sorry for the long story, this is my very first long write up in 10+yrs of joining sbf, all are just my opinion. Really want to thank bro nono, all his post are really informative, feel confident walking around alone with just my phone on hand. never felt that i'm lost as i can reconise all the landmarks mentioned before in this thread. by the way, if you use the puffin browser all 3 version of sbf can be accessed in sg and batam.

Just back from a weekday 2 day one night trip to Btm. Appreciate all the guides given in this thread.. Travelling alone and did a lot of read ups before proceed. Booked from online Horizon first ferry at 0815hrs and returned tix next day at 1915hrs Indo time. Total of $68 due to trying out the business class as well.

Hotel booked via Agoda at $79 for two nights at Biz Hotel deluxe room. Actually stay for just a night but wanna chill around as next day returning ony at night. Arranged for an early check in. Upon touch down, change for boarding pass at HB level 2 and money exchanged at the changer for 1-10400. Bought a SIM card for portable wifi purposes 6gb for 30days and look2 see2 around the terminal before having breakfast outside. Simple chicken rice stuff. Took a cab as mentioned for 30k to Biz and check in hotel around 1030hrs Indo time.

Purpose of trip is just to unwind and site walk to experience the cheonging/relaxing scene here. Went to Nagoya Hill Mall for makan, watch movie at 35k which is cheap hehe.. Bought some jerseys at 100k each and also recce the Delta Spa at NHM. Quite pricey at 600k+ Opening and as it's among the non recommended ones, so just enquire and check the place out only. As staying in Biz hotel, walking distance to the massage places at Utama, easily spotted. As well as DC Mall. Make Friend with a salesgirl there lol.Tried VIP massage at Beautiful Massage for 230k plus 400k FJ by the gal. So called VIP room but hehe not so wow.. Attached with bathtub though. And standard massage at 60k and 200k HJ at Good One Massage. Both gals so-so, not bad. Managed to find Sri Kandy and hav a peek at the stock. Mix of SYTs and milfs. That's about it for my adventures, as don't really feel like getting LT for this trip, more like check it out and chill by myself. But definitely grateful for the tips given. Most taxis quote me at 50k for my trip to Nagoya Mall to hotel and vice versa. Maybe kena chop, but still venturing so it's ok. Thanks to all, will return for next happy2 trip

Booked hotel for my upcoming trip on 27th Dec to 30th Dec. Surprisingly, prices did not surge. Maybe because I booked a few weeks ago.

But to be honest, starting to get bored. The quality of the girls in terms of looks and service seems to have dropped, even from the places that I felt were reliable, like Happy or Sri Kandy. It's come to the point that I sometimes find myself mulling over whether to book a girl overnight or just to go massage joints for ST, or not at all. Any suggestions? If any of the other regulars have suggestions on joints or even specific girls, do PM me. Of course, we'll exchange (just name and joint is fine).

Still thinking of what to do for my upcoming trip. Hahahah these days I'm just trying out different cafes in Batam so that I know where to bring my friends whenever they join me.

Seems like hotel massage or those in the mall may spare us from mozzies.

Bro,
You should have just gone to a clean massage place like Majestic for a 1 to 2 hours of solid massage at less than 400k as you enjoy good clean massage.
Thereafter, just go back to your hotel and choose a WeChat cewek for ST at a rate of 400 to 600k. Just do your due diligence to ensure safely of your assets and ensure that the cewek is what you are ordering, i. e. 'what you see is what you get'. Simply reject those ceweks not up to your expectation and beware of ladyboys. You can talk first or better do a video call. Usually, you should have no problem booking a cewek for ST from Wechat as this is just a one shot affair with duration of less than an hour.
For dinner, you can just cross the road infront of Da Vienna Hotel to the Windsor Food Court for reasonable food and drink at decent prices. You can use Go-car or Grab for your transport around the area, paying about 10 to 20k for short distances. Normal so-called taxis will charge you at most 50k for transport around the area. Cheers.

yes definitely. Formosa is nearby to many eateries, nagoya hill mall, booking joints, money changers and convenience stores. only minor inconvenience was no safe box in room but reception counter has it (reminds me of bank safety deposit box :D ).

I left some money on the table or in the drawer many times, and nothing was ever stolen in my many times I stayed in Formosa. Not a single bill, and never. Things can always change, but till now staff there has proven really super-honest.

The real reason why a safety box is advisable for important things is that we never know who are the girls we take there. Temptation can move to try.

Hi Bro,

Suggest you book a newer hotel like Da Vienna or Harmoni Suites for a few dollars more. You have the peace of mind to know that there is a safe box in your room where assets can be safely locked out of reach from unwanted attention. They are also in Nagoya near all the facilities.
As for the booking joints, they are all within reasonable walking distances and available to provide all the ceweks you need during your stay. You just need to be early to choose the best from Happy8, New Berry, MM, Sri Kandy, Bunga ....etc. Charges for LT are from 1.0 to 1.5 juta if you go there on your own without a third party. You can also get many ceweks for ST from WeChat but do through due diligence to prevent being conned. Cheers.

I recall NoNo once posted that he left a big note in the room and the housekeeping took it thinking that it's tip meant for him. But, true though that most of the time I ever stayed there, my belongings are usually quite safe.

Nagoya area is not that huge to go around on foot, although only 2 joints are close by to Formosa Hotel. If you want more nearby joints, Han's Inn, Utama Hotel and Biz Hotel is a better choice. Easily 6 joints all within 3-5 walking distance.

Hehehe...i can still remember a friend of mine drops a stack of S$50 at the reception area (few thousand Singapore dollar),and they actually brought it up to my room,hehehe...thats becos my friend was pretty new to the hotel and they didnt know which of my friend drops it (receptionist only know they are my friend and they didnt know who to return it to).

The real reason why a safety box is advisable for important things is that we never know who are the girls we take there. Temptation can move to try.

i agreed with that. I have my own "safe box" in formosa hotel in every room,hehehe...

Yes,the guy cleaning up my room thought that the 100k rupiah note was for him,hehehe...it was actually my girl's lunch/dinner money. I didnt blame that guy cos i usually leave behind some small rupiah notes on the table whenever i was out (its meant for the cleaning person to make up room) but today,i call for them personally to come to my room to make room before i step out (and they come to me eagerly within mins,hehehe...maybe due to the tips, maybe due to good service?).

They did took the money but they also return it back tho (to be exact,i took it back from them). :p

I believe there are lower prices,eg Kaha going at about 475k rupiah,hehehe...i guess its peak season, so higher is inevitable unless one knows the way around to look in for a better deal.

Not much changes for hotels around Batam center tho. :p

I am looking into Jan 2019 and Feb 2019 hotel as i type,hehehe...need to prepare myself for CNY 2019,hehehe...kaisuism at work here. :D

I think you are quite unfortunate to get a sucky girl there; the service quality there is usually quite good, maybe she’s having a bad day and u suay suay kena her and became collateral damage.

He recommended Spa Secret because he gets a nice commission from the Spa; nevertheless, it is a pretty good spa, albeit a little on the expensive side. If you are after good massages, go to Sport Massage next time. There are 5 outlets, with the main one right opposite Harmoni Hotel and another one near Harapan Baru Hospital (Rumah Sakit Harapan Baru). Sport Massage is, for me, the place for the best massages in Batam and it’s only 270k for 2 hours.

Is it still a good choice to stay at Formosa for a first timer?

I recommend Formosa in my Batam for newbie not becos of pricing nor its nice/ugly/luxury/poor outlook but more of the location and has everything under one roof. Its a hotel that i tell my friends who are new that even if they "break" both their legs. They can still find a girl for themselves almost 24 hours round the clock (and in the shortest time).

In other word, its a fail-safe hotel for newbie. Its the only hotel in Batam,i recommend for 1st timer/newbie.

* i still remember i said this before "i dont recommend",hehehe...so,the word "recommend" is a strong word in my forum posting/s.

Nagoya area is not that huge to go around on foot, although only 2 joints are close by to Formosa Hotel. If you want more nearby joints, Han's Inn, Utama Hotel and Biz Hotel is a better choice. Easily 6 joints all within 3-5 walking distance.

Agreed with you. Han's Inn,Utama Hotel and Biz hotel can be a good choice too. I will be eyeing Biz and Hans Inn next year,hehehe...

Harbour Bay Ferry terminal is only about 20 mins walk away from Formosa,hehehe...i took less than that tho. I sweat all over by the time i reach hotel lobby. :p

Now i come to think of it, Hana Hotel is a pretty good choice too.

Near to most old time booking joints,hehehe...i think i have a walk through map for Area A's booking joint but i may have forgotten about Area B....

Area A :

1. MM
2. Kupukupu
3. Bunga
4. JV Happy 8
5. Hawaii
6. Sri Kandy
7. (there's one more that took Indah 2's place, wonder if its still around)

Area B :

1. Gold Bird (aka Hai Lai)
2. Orchid
3. Blue Moon/Moonlight
4. Memory
5. Links
6. Sekar (aka ex New Berry)
7. (there should be one more in that area, but my memory...not working well recently,hehehe..)

Both Area A and Area B has comparable amount of Massage shops. Area A however has a bit more "dirty massage shops" than Area B tho,hehehe....but i like Area B Massage shops better than Area A. :D

Hi bro. How have u been? Been a while. Hahah I'm booking Travelodge. Nvr tried before. 3 nights about 180. Ok lah. Was expecting the end of year rate to be more like 80 or 90 per night.

I go once a month so if you are there in Jan, or Feb, maybe can meet up for coffee again or sth.

But nowadays really hard to find a great service girl that's my type. Been missing more than hitting these days. And my regular girls are either retiring or went back to their villages. Don't really like the massage joints cos the places usually look a bit run down, not like in bandung kind. Hahahah

Near to most old time booking joints,hehehe...i think i have a walk through map for Area A's booking joint but i may have forgotten about Area B....

Area A :

Area B :

So good.
I woud recommend you to develop further this list, link it in your signature (I would rate it much more important than the food list) and keep it updated by reposting every month. Then you really get the unanimous appreciation and Oscar Award of SB :p
Thank you!

PS: what happened to the mythical Indah 2?

Hi all,

New to this forum. Huge thanks to bro nono for all the information compiled in this thread, and here's my trip summary.

I went out to Batam on a Sunday. I took the BatamFast ferry instead of Horizons because I can't find the counter. Cost was $50 for a return ticket between Harbourbay and SG.

Reached Harbour Bay. I thought I'll walk to the hotel instead of taking a taxi. The walk was boring, muddy and had to cross so many roads while constantly being honked at by taxis. I had way too much time to kill before checkin time. I think I'll take the later ferries in future to align with the check-in times.
Note to self 1: Take the taxi next time.
Note to self 2: Take the afternoon ferries.

After check-in, I started "girl hunting" :) I went out to all the joints and ended up at Bunga Massage as the last one, and I chose a girl out of panic cause I've ran out of places to go, and I didn't want to go back to the other spots again. So panicked that my mind was a blank and I didn't follow any of the advice given here haha. I chose 1 that didn't seem interested in me and was playing with her phone, and paid 1.3mil without bargaining.
Note to self 3: Reiterated many times here already, lower your expectations. IMHO Geylang Cat 50 have prettier ones than those in Batam.
Note to self 4: Take the first one you like. The grass not always greener on the other side
Note to self 5: MM has the same boss as Morena. So be expected to be brought round to all the joints if you paiseh to reject firmly.

Fast forward to girl is in my room. I seriously lucked out as the GFE was strong with this one :) We chat about the usual stuff like where she from etc. I noticed that she's not shy about talking about her other customers so I started asking her questions and her answers were hilarious.
I asked if she's done 2 girls 1 guy before. She said yes, and I asked how was it. She said she didn't like it, and throughout the session she was "running" away from the other girl. The guy will bonk the girl, then her, but the 2 girls had 0 interaction in between.
I asked if she has boyfriend and she said yes. The guy is her customer who booked her when she just came to Batam. The guy came back a few times and booked her and asked to be her boyfriend. After talking for a while I got the feeling that she doesn't really like him that much and will probably say bye bye when her contract is up.
Throughout the chat she even showed me some texts between her and her customers.
Note to self 6: Don't bother trying to have a girlfriend there.
Note to self 7: Your texts to the girl are not covered by any data protection act. Send at your own risk

I took Grab from Diamond City Mall to ferry for 16k. I learnt from the driver that Grab drivers are not allowed in certain areas like shopping malls and ferry terminals. Those are the territory of the touts, and bad things happen to Grab cars that pick up customers from there. Be prepared to walk to ulu spot.

i pretend to be a newbie ,i google search for Formosa hotel and then google page shows a list of website to book hotels. I looked in and learned that the prices has indeed gone up for Dec 2018,Jan 2019 and Feb 2019 when i compared with my notes on previous trips.

Deluxe room used to be less than S$50,and it hit above the S$50 mark on 26th and 27th Dec.

Booking.com is getting more and more expensive. I remembered i still had an Agoda account and proceeded to book from its mobile app. Only $41.37/night taxes all-in for deluxe double room (monday night).

always good to shop around from the various hotel brokers.

I used trivago to compare the prices. Much more easier than doing it manually.

Hi bro!

Just checking if you're interested in going together for your next trip! I'm a newb so I'd prefer going with someone and it seems like you're mainly into massage (which aligns with my interests). Of course, I'm also interested in the 'unclean side'... ;)

If you're cool with going together, can I trouble you to share your itinerary with me and we'll discuss from there? I want to see which MPs you're thinking of going to, so I can check them up beforehand for my own info.

Cheers!

can't really promise ye since I'm also in the midst of a job hop. may wanna take priority over that. batam trip can always wait later.

I do have a drafted itinerary if you're still keen. cheers.

Enjoying my Day 1 of virgin solo batam trip (using a free dfs voucher on majestic ferry from TMFT to BCFT, before it expires, tax is $21 at TM and IDR65000 at BC).

Feel that i should wrap up writing my humble experience for this Batam solo trip.

Reached BCFT at 10.45pm, immigration officer asked me those standard "business or leisure?" questions (dunno whether i have chiongster face or not? :D ). anyway got my passport stamped and cleared luggage scan. headed to telco shop, bought a telkomsel sim card with call credits and 2GB data for 110k. no issues with activation or registration.

made a phone call to bluebird. vaguely understood from the call centre lady that their taxis could not pick me up within BCFT car park. asked me to wait for driver's phone call. driver called and he said go wait at Telkomsel building and i asked him for his vehicle plate number. fired up google maps and searched for it.. around 400m walk. many supirs and ojeks asking me to take their ride while i walked along the road. rejected them politely.

perspiring quite a bit while waiting at telkomsel (btm seems hotter and more humid than sg). finally hopped on the bluebird toyota innova (meter fare was 52k). reached Formosa roughly 12.15pm, asked reception if i could check in early. fortunately there were ready rooms and up i went. settled down a bit then went to nearby alfamart to buy snacks/drinks/cigs but couldn't find beer :(

put stuff down in hotel then went to change money opposite formosa at 3rd shop from left @ 10500. proceed to explore by foot using map directions given by bro nono. pretty easily actually, no need to look at phone map. 1st stop Happy8 - some girls were still having lunch, not many sitting at long sofa, told plump mami i go out jalan-jalan and come back later. 2nd stop Sekar - only 5 girls but all cmi, i think chinese-looking milf mami looks better than all of them. Went back to Happy8, more girls assembled at sofa, selected one young milf from surabaya at 1.1M, bargained down from 1.3. asked plump mami to send the girl to my room at 3pm.

Still hunting for my beer, went to nagoya hill mall (NHM) and entered hypermart. layout looks like our local Giant. bought nuts, chips, biscuits, water (27 cents for 1.5L  ) and yakult at 9000rp/pack of 5 (now i know why bro nono loves to buy this). finally found bintang and heineken near the cashier and picked up a few cans.

Lugged the groceries back to hotel then went up to 4th floor King's. picked girl from the photo file. requested in-room massage. girl arrived.. skin looks darker than photo. oh well, did a 1 hr masg for 110k and finished off with HJ at 300k.

Cewek arrived 15 min after 3pm. do one round first. stripped down and saw belly fat (didn't seem that visible in the dress she wore at the shop). asked her how many kids? one daughter. not much commendable service from her, not even a BJ. boobs were larger than average but saggy. finished the FJ deed and washed up. found that she likes celebrity gossip and horror movies.

wanted to bring her downstairs to either tea story or vienna to makan dinner but she lazy and tired, claimed that she chiong KTV till 3am the night before. Ok... called for room service, ordered fish n chips & beef kway teow - 140k. After dinner, rested a while and then finished up 2nd round. Around 11pm onwards could hear singing and bassy music from upstairs Alishan KTV. One weird thing happened around midnight when room service knocked on my door twice to deliver food and drink that i didn't order. Told the delivery boys "you sure you got the correct room number?" (while pointing my finger at my door's room number) and they left apologetically.

We woke up around 6am, the lazy girl start to manja with me and asked for 200k tips, saying that she stays far from nagoya area and needs a massage. keep on whining for the next 5 min on why she needed that amount. i told her let's see how after the 3rd round. did a quickie and could see that she was upset and emotionless and laid there like a dead fish. her service was getting from bad to worse, no foreplay, no BJ, yank my dick anyhow and call it a HJ  she finished her shower and i gave her 100k and told her to leave. i have no sympathy for her princess attitude.

11am went back to NHM, had A&W waffles and float for brunch, bought lamoist kek lapis original at 230k/kg. walked to matahari department store, t-shirts and jeans were cheap, maybe next time will buy when i bring a bigger backpack.

Afternoon 12.30pm took gojek Gocar from Formosa to BCFT for 26k. exchanged my ticket for 3.30pm boarding pass. walked to Mega Mall via overhead bridge, bought some OTC medicine from hypermart, slowly makan some J.Co donuts and coffee while seated at outdoor table, lepak, smoke and surf net. 2.30pm walked back to BCFT boarding gate and bade goodbye to Batam.

Will definitely be back to try the spas and other massage places and possibly venture to utama area (nono's Area A above).

Cheers!

The walk was boring, muddy and had to cross so many roads while constantly being honked at by taxis.
Trick: try always to walk on the right side of the 2-lane roads. Taxis and ojek will see you but will have to ride the opposite way.

IMHO Geylang Cat 50 have prettier ones than those in Batam.
No doubt about the look. But the reason why me and others love Batam is "Brown Sugar". No other girls can be so affectionate and sweet as an Indonesian girl. Best of the best would be so lucky to book a girl who is really new to the business, or better to meet a non-pro at pub or disco. Some girls at discos are 100% hookers, but they do it once a week or so, when they need cash. It can be a good mix between getting a professional treatment and a GFE. No way to hope anything like that in Geylang, which offers a 100% standard professional service planned in all its smallest details.

Note to self 4: Take the first one you like. The grass not always greener on the other side
I cannot. When I went for booking, I wanted to see the full list of joints, I took notes about those 2-3 which I liked most, then I went back. Sure, if you go back to the same place you must be ready to take that girl and not hesitate further, but in that way you can choose your nearly optimum in the set explored.

booked her when she just came to Batam. The guy came back a few times and booked her and asked to be her boyfriend.
I guess if he also managed to get her promise to be faithful to him and to not meet any other man. I can imagine him kneeling in front of her, offering his heart to her before going back to Singapore.

Note to self 6: Don't bother trying to have a girlfriend there.
That's for sure, but having (girl) FRIENDS there is priceless. Meeting her after months, having her making love with you instead of providing a plain service... This is the reason why I insist going to Batam.
One of my friends always brings a new girl with her, and she does it "to make me happy" or so she claims.

Note to self 7: Your texts to the girl are not covered by any data protection act. Send at your own risk
Years ago, I booked two girls from a well-known joint for my last day in Batam. Once in my room, the girls started to laugh and point at my dick (not a super one, just bigger than the average Asian). They said I booked their 2 friends months before, that they took photos of my dick (I did not remember, frankly) and photos circulated in the joint. In short, they knew me already
LOL

Bro,
You should have just gone to a clean massage place like Majestic for a 1 to 2 hours of solid massage at less than 400k as you enjoy good clean massage.
Cheers.

I agree with what bro onlyliveonce had said and there is acia ikan barka next to vienna hotel that sell nice local food and chinese food too...

Both Area A and Area B has comparable amount of Massage shops. Area A however has a bit more "dirty massage shops" than Area B tho,hehehe....but i like Area B Massage shops better than Area A. :D

Ya this branch have closed down. But the Sungai Panas branch (and others) have renamed as "Oki Rp10,000"
Yes, they are far Nagoya area.

There's a OKI10,000? Hmm...so far only been able to see Oki 8000,hehehe...havent to this one yet.

Most of the stuffs they sell were local-made. Good place to buy made in Indonesia things,hehehe...

If you insist on looking for Rp8k shop in Nagoya area...
Just look for "Vincent store" they do have a Rp8k area and they even hv a Rp5k area at the 2nd floor.

There's even a Serba 8000 now,hehehe...

Then again,i rarely move upward towards Tiban area unless i go to Tiban Tua Pek Kong.

Hmm...come to think of it,its about time i need to "return-thanks" since CNY 2019 is just a few months away. ;)

I saw those food stalls but not sure if I like it.
harbor bay mall was so empty till I almost not able to find gogo supermarket

Try it out if there's a chance. If you like Singapore Malay food, they serve good tasting food, just as good as many Malay food store in Singapore and at half the price.

My kind of food, cheap and yet good tasting. Pattaya rice,hehehe...indo version (my girl ate away the cucumbers before photo is taken,hehehe..becos i dont take cucumber). Cant remember exact price but definitely less than 20k rupiah.

https://img4.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26875/2687523456b95bfc499f88cda8cba2541b80dd84.jpg

their mie rebus very different from the malay style mee rebus.

And is it better tasting or less tastier as compared to the Malay style?

Sorry,i ask becos i rarely eat eat mee rebus in both Batam and Singapore. :D

i luv the burger 'boy' :D

https://sbf.net.nz/showthread.php?p=17671108&highlight=burger+boy#post17671108

Your pick is another good choice too. But i still feel that the burger store at Nagoya City Walk Mall one is more tastier and cheaper. I like it but there's still some room for improvement,hehehe...

Just my personal choice of comparison for the same kind of food,hehehe...

Thank you for sharing. I have been to those Spas in Johor Bahru before (most time no more than 300rm). The main issue for myself is i find it kind of boring to go there alone, but for batam i dont. The hotel/s which i regularly goes to knows me well enough to have myself struck up a conversation even tho i dont speak bahasa or malay. Or the least, they are willing to start talking (easy to start a conversation with even with language barrrier),and they dont mind me using google translate,hehehe...i cant say the same for Johor bahru when i am with non-chinese.

You were right on one thing tho,i think many goes to batam becos LT is more popular there. I mean i book a girl, i have her company throughout my day/night...and i truly dont mind leaving her in the hotel room alone (just so i keep all valuable safely 1st) so that i can still get the freedom to monger around to look for other fun in Batam. (worse case scenario,i just send her back to joint) In some way, there wont be a single boring moment or at the least,i have a choice to choose how i wish my holiday to be. I cant speak the same for Johor tho,hehehe...making more other choices there can cost more than expected.

Men Spa,i dont visit them unless i have a friend or a group of friends with me. We have a couple of hours to burn before going on to our next-to-do list. And if i am alone, i am more likely to book a girl or 2 in some booking joints,hehehe...in a way,its like using money to buy company. :D

1. Da Vienna Junior suite room is good. In fact better than most Formosa hotel rooms, but still i would ask you try that hotel out. (Formosa has a poorer outlook,in-room and out-room carpet can be stinky at times, noisy at night from the KTV upstair, some time toilet gets choked, lousier breakfast, cockroaches i caught at times etc)

2. Next time if you are still coming to Batam, drop in New Spa at Batam City Hotel to have a try (if i dont remember wrong, before 3pm is a bit cheaper). A different culture as compared to Octopuss. At least there wont be mosquitoes,hehehe...

3. Utama hotel, walk its perimeter one round,hehehe...try out their most MPs there (less than 100k rupiah/hour most time). Dont go for the option of those VIP room or those fanciful packages 1st (just the basic package 1st). Why so? Its becos if each MP is under different boss/es,more than likely the work culture will also be different. I must have killed hundreds of mosquitoes there thru out my time in Batam,hehehe...sorry,this part is a plain joke.

4. If you are looking for MPs with lesser or no mosquitoes. Hmm...try Area B Massage places,hehehe...

https://sbf.net.nz/showthread.php?p=18095972#post18095972

...which is why i am mostly sticking to Area B more than Area A nowaday after i "grew up" from Area A.

5. Its a challenge to get something "special" from MPs like Spa Secret,Manzu etc. And even a greater challenge to get the same or lower priced "service" from those places (hehehe...i rarely "recommend"). ;)

But isnt it good to have "such" in those so called "clean places"? Which is one of the reason why i am still enjoying Batam until today. I am sure i cannot get something "special" from Johor bahru's Sabye sabye, Spa Manja ,Thai Odyssey, Bangkok Spa ,Thai Imperial, Khatulistiwa Spa etc (one reason why Batam is different).

To me, its just like when getting something special from Bluewave or Poseidon is really nothing special at all becos i paid for it upfront and already expecting it to happen when the time comes. I often keep my expectation low whenever i am in Batam and i have a good time from them. A good massage with a good ending (pardon me for being unable to speak out specifically and clearly in the open).

* I am still not willing to try Batam Sports Massage becos i dont want to waste my money when i am in Batam with "expectation",hehehe... (i cant speak the same for the other MPs) :p

May you have a better Batam trip next round.

Cheers!

I think that was mainly becos your previous girlssss give you the top-notch quality and other newer girls you seen couldnt live up to that,hehehe....told you before, dont put all your best apples in one basket. :D

Now you cant find more good apples. Continue to find MORE good apples while you already have 2 apples in your 2 hands,hehehe...making sure every place/s you been to also will have some remaining good apples. A farming theory,hehehe...

Cheers!

Seems like hotel massage or those in the mall may spare us from mozzies.

To date,i am still looking for a good and cheap in-hotel massage place comparable with Formosa's King. Anyone any suggestion?

Paragon's in-hotel massage has been a disappointment with too many people attempting to try to break down its "wall". I am eyeing Amir hotel...

Hi bro. How have u been? Been a while. Hahah I'm booking Travelodge. Nvr tried before. 3 nights about 180. Ok lah. Was expecting the end of year rate to be more like 80 or 90 per night.

Not bad a price for Travelodge Hotel aka Novetel. It used to be higher last couple of years during peak season. The surround of Travelodge has nothing much, except Pacific and Harbour Bay Mall and its still quite a substantial walking distance. So make sure to fully utilize their free shuttle service,hehehe... (sorry,i am just being stingy here,hehehe..)

I go once a month so if you are there in Jan, or Feb, maybe can meet up for coffee again or sth.

Same here too. Jan trip,i can be pretty busy,so i arent sure of the timing. My feb trip is confirmed to be on CNY 2019,hehehe...well,if you happen to be there, maybe can do some catching up and allowing me to "stuff your lung with some smoke",hehehe... :D

But nowadays really hard to find a great service girl that's my type. Been missing more than hitting these days. And my regular girls are either retiring or went back to their villages. Don't really like the massage joints cos the places usually look a bit run down, not like in bandung kind. Hahahah

Does those who have retired have close friends still in Batam? :D

Better still if they were from same or nearby kampong,hehehe...many girls after retirement still keep in contact with friends in Batam tho. Keep a look out for a friend's friend,or a friend's friend's friend,hehehe...jealousy can sometime make people do stupid thing. And it might just bring those from Kampong back to Batam,hehehe...

Sorry,i am just counting the option/s if i am in your shoe. :p

Hahah that's the problem with me. I'm the type that if I like something, I don't mind having it everyday. Even here, I can have the same meal everyday for months without getting sick of it. So now suffer lor.

They do have friends, and they do recommend some of their friends, but not my type lah. I know ppl usually say go batam find girls don't think too much about looks, but for me, need to at least be my type to have appetite. Hahah if service not that good also, at least can still sleep with my type kind.

Hahah for me, a lot of times is like the girls a bit psycho kind. Scare me a bit. Like if I go to a joint and pick a girl and we hit it off, seems like some will warn the other girls off me for my next visits, so when I go back, the mami will straightaway try to push same girl to me. Make it awkward to try others, or when I insist on others and book them, keep getting asked by the new girl why I never take the same girl until I sian. Hahah got some until cry. Turn off sia, but make me feel damn bad like as if I killed their pet.

And is it better tasting or less tastier as compared to the Malay style?

Sorry,i ask becos i rarely eat eat mee rebus in both Batam and Singapore. :D

the batam mie rebus serve in a plate instead of bowl, less gravy
if you can remember the taste of mee rebus, the batam one is rather different ....
abit sweet? no lime? with ginger taste? and a bit oily, or was it just Malaya Cafe. :D

Mie Rebus in Batam is commonly called Mie Landil.
There's a store in a coffee shop name A3 in a market in Jodoh selling it...not bad taste.

I think the most usual rate is in range 60-65 SGD. It must be a busy weekend.

2 nights for S$83 is for Formosa's basic room. Its still a pretty good deal. But its not the same kind of room you usually stayed in. Usually guest will be put up on the 3rd storey, directly below the KTV and w/o windows (this is not 100% the case tho, some lucky guy might have gotten better quality of superior/deluxe room).

Don't flush the water! :D

Not afraid of the toilet flushing water but more of the showering water,hehehe...i wonder what people keeps inside a safe inside a hotel room.

I ask because most time,my passport would be with the hotel at most time. I put some of my money inside my self-made "safe box". So most time when i stayed in a Batam hotel with a safe box,i would lock it up but there was nothing in it at all.

Booking.com is getting more and more expensive. I remembered i still had an Agoda account and proceeded to book from its mobile app. Only $41.37/night taxes all-in for deluxe double room (monday night).

Thank you for sharing and duly noted.

I just registered an account with agoda after talking to bro pandknight,hehehe...and you just reminded me to look in again.

Thank you. :)

@nono

Usually I keep my excess money in the safe, my phone, tablet/laptop. But, that was when I used to stay at Hana. When I changed to Paragon, they don't have a safe so I keep much of my stuff with me, except the laptop.

Try to sign up for Ag9da's mailing list. They usually have a further 5% discount (up to $50 per booking) that's sent via email.

I spotted a site that talks about Angkot,so i think i shall bring part of the info here and keep them under my collection vault regarding Batam's transportation,hehehe...previous info as below link :

https://sbf.net.nz/showpost.php?p=15714030&postcount=6166

The new add-on info...

The Carry Angkot :

202696

Carry is small size Angkot, and the reason behind it called Carry was simply because the car brand is Suzuki Carry. There are two main routes served by these Carry.

Below are the routes and how to identify it.

Yellow Carry. Route: from Muka Kuning to Bengkong thru Batam Center
Brown Carry. Route: from Sagulung to Muka Kuning thru Batuaji

Price range: IDR 2000 ~ IDR 5000 depends on distance

The Bimbar Angkot :

202697

Bimbar is medium size Angkot and the name is taken from the transport service itself. This Bimbar has 3 main routes and more coverage than Carry.

The Bimbar and route can be identifying as below:

Blue Bimbar. Route: from Dapur 12 Sagulung to Nagoya thru Batam Center
Maroon/Red Bimbar. Route: from Dapur 12 Sagulung to Nagoya thru Sukajadi
Pink Bimbar (also known as Jono). Route: from Jodoh to Nongsa thru Batam Center

Price range: IDR 5000 ~ IDR 10000 depends on distance.

The Trans Batam Bus

202700

Owned and operated by government. But, it is still serving fewer routes and not covering all district and area of Batam. Route is available on the bus stop and attachment on the bus itself. To go with the bus, you need to come to nearest bus stop and buy the ticket there.

Price range: IDR 4000 – flat all destinations, except from airport will be IDR 15000 – flat.

Where to get on and get off

Best gate to come to Batam is thru Batam Center ferry terminal. You can easily access to other parts of Batam from this terminal. However, depend on your destination, I have made the list on where to get on and get off for your reference.

Nagoya, Batu Ampar and Jodoh

Nagoya is only 10 minutes away from Harbour Bay ferry terminal. For travel on budget, ojek is the best choice from here. It will cost around IDR 10,000 to Nagoya depend on your destination. It is advisable to take online ojek so they can pick you up right in Ferry Terminal. Otherwise, you need to walk around 3 minutes to go outside Harbour Bay complex to find conventional ojek.

If you are planning to heads up to Nagoya from Batam Center, Blue Bimbar, Bus and ojek are your best choice. Blue Bimbar and Bus covers most area in Nagoya, while ojek is more flexible upon your destination.

Blue Bimbar route from Batam Center will pass through these locations:

Mall: BCS Mall (including spa and massage center in front of it) and Nagoya Hill Mall.
Hotel: Batam Center Hotel (now Sahid Hotel and Convention), Nagoya Mansion, Harmoni Suites, Goodway Hotel, Harmoni Hotel, Planet Holiday.
Attractions: Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya, Jabal Arafah Mosque.

Bus Route from Batam Center is thru Batu Ampar and ended in Jodoh. Bus station is only 2 minutes walk from Batam Center Ferry Terminal. The route will pass through these locations:

Harbour Bay Complex: ferry terminal, mall, seafood restaurant (Wey Wey Seafood Restaurant and Harbour Bay Seafood Restaurant, Italian and Western restaurant.
Hotel: Harbour Bar Amir, GGi Hotel, Swissbel Hotel, Pacific Palace Hotel, Novotel Hotel.
Jodoh wet market and DC Mall.

Bengkong

Main tourist attraction in Bengkong is Golden City, which you can have some sport activities like, go-kart and paintball, or enjoy the seafood at Golden Prawn Restaurant and buy some layer cake or keropok as a gift nearby restaurant. There is also Indonesia house miniature and Kuda Lumping show which available upon request.

You can reach here using Yellow Carry until its end destination then continue by 5 minutes walk, or directly using ojek from Batam Center ferry terminal.

Nongsa

Nongsa is widely known as resort and golf area. There is not much transportation mode to go to Nongsa. But if you want to explore more on Nongsa, Ojek is your best choice because its flexibility.

Bus and Pink Bimbar is the second option, because these two transports are end before the main tourist attraction at Nongsa Coast area. In the end, you need to continue to use Ojek service to explore more on Nongsa.

___________________

On the side note,i actually wont advise those who are new in Batam NOT to try out the public transport yet (if you knew "the way",using taxi isnt expensive from most Singaporean's perspective and can some time be free-of-charge) as i have heard of pickpockets before (if you ever read page 1 of this thread). One or 2 try is fine for myself for the experience ,and as i am on a holiday so no point for me to be constantly taking unnecessary risk.

Most online taxis werent allowed to pickup passengers in tourist area, like ferry terminal/major shopping mall/airport etc.

* i have make this post 1st because i need to add it into my next collection posting....grrr....i am not suppose to make this post today.

** do not quote my whole long post, otherwise it might get removed. Thank you.

put stuff down in hotel then went to change money opposite formosa at 3rd shop from left @ 10500. proceed to explore by foot using map directions given by bro nono. pretty easily actually, no need to look at phone map.

Just for your info, Alishan KTV on the 3rd floor can do overnight girl booking too. Just that they starts at about 7pm. And usually, they have quite a lot of girls during weekends (Friday and Saturday). Not all girls were available overnight booking tho. They dont come cheap tho.

After 1am is the left-over time, girls who arent booked and those who has no seating room yet starts to leave the KTV at that time,hehehe...

Yakult at Top 100 supermarket 1 min walk from formosa hotel selling at 7k rupiah,hehehe...

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/05/a44.jpg

The Yakult bottle size is actually smaller than those you seen in Singapore. Its only in Batam that i learned that Yakult doesnt require refrigeration,hehehe...

Will definitely be back to try the spas and other massage places and possibly venture to utama area (nono's Area A above).

Since you come by Batam Center ferry terminal and if by chance if you happen to take a much earlier ferry to Batam, yet still have ample time to burn. You may wish to test out Batam's Men Spa,hehehe...

Price update as of Jan 2018. Its a unisex spa,so can also bring girls in. I think i heard somewhere my friend telling me about bringing 2 friends (3pax) to get 30% off and 4 friends (5pax) to get 40% off,hehehe...but only available for weekdays and not weekends.

Havana Executive Club & Massage :

203778

Hmm...recently there was a Havana Executive Club & Massage, dont know if its a spa or not. Some says its a booking joint, some says its not. Google tells me it look more like a clubbing place. So which is which? (its also possible to be "all-of-the-above" too) Hehehe...maybe i should go down there in my next Batam trip to find out to get a better picture.

203779

Delta Spa (2pm direction from Nagoya Hill Mall front entrance) :

Facilities : 150k
Standard room with 2 session : 330k
Suite room with Bath tub + shower : 430k (also for 2 session)

1 session for standard room = 150k
1 session for inside suite room = 200k

*price list stated is from around 2016,and if i dont remember the price went up by a bit.
** above stated price is for a draft reference only.

If i dont remember wrong, 3 session, comes with a free HJ,hehehe...the girls (aka GROs and the massage girls) there often do hard-selling,trying to get the customer to add-on other extras (eg,aroma oil,hot stone etc) ence the bill can adds up to quite a lot. Any staff/s who up-sell gets a commission and they have the tendency to overdo it. Quite a few newbies i heard of end up paying close to 1 juta for a HJ because of that,hehehe...

The massage girls dont provide fj inside spa, unless you really know them super well enough,hehehe... :p

Altalanta Spa :

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/05/a1.jpg

No need to say much about this, its closed,hehehe...or so was it? :D

I guess i covered most of Batam's men spa here in this post alone,so while replying to a post,i am also keeping records of my findings for future references too.

If there is ever a time where i have about 4 hour to spare in Batam and with a handful of friends,i go to a spa. Nice place to kill a bit time. The food in Batam spas arent free (unlike those in Malaysia and Singapore) and they come at a higher than those regular Batam food prices i have posted before too.

May you and all have a good and better next trip in Batam.

Cheers!

From Harbour Bay Ferry terminal to anywhere around Nagoya is now 30k rupiah nett if its taken from the Taxi stands (quite a handful of them around Harbour Bay,mostly just outside of some hotels). I look back a bit and realize i have been talking about 30k rupiah taxi fare since 4 odd years ago when i 1st started my monthly Batam trips,hehehe...its like a dream come true now when Harbour Bay decide to fix their taxi pricing at 30k rupiah.

(can i call that a price drop if the past talks on "official taxi fare" was 50k rupiah? Hehehe...)

Batam Harbour Bay official taxi stand is just outside the new unopened Marriot Hotel,hehehe... :p

And to get to the location of the new official Harbour Bay Ferry terminal's taxi stand when i step out from immigration :

Additional collective Batam info on pricing and services (now and about 4 years ago) :

In case you havent realize, food prices has gone up a little...hehehe...chicken rice (nasi ayam) used to be somewhere around 13k rupiah, now its like either 15k or if not more. Same applies for noodles too,hehehe...used to be about 15k to 17k...now i can find 18k to 20k rupiah noodle in stalls everywhere,hehehe...

1. Ferry Tickets for Horizon Ferries still remains at S$48. CNY period over the last 3 over years remain at $48 + S$12.

2. Hotel prices i regular go seems to have come down by at least 10%,maybe due to competition.

3. Food prices goes upward a little. (chicken wing at J8 food court goes up by 1k rupiah each within a year)

4. Taxi fare on the whole has gone down due to Harbour Bay's 30k nett fare, and other online taxi services.

https://sbf.net.nz/showthread.php?p=18103079#post18103079

5. Prices for overnight booking girls from booking joint 4 years ago were between 600k rupiah to 1.3 juta. Its now between around 700k to 1.5 juta. (I didnt put those higher end KTV girls into the similar category when i say this)

6. Handful of dirty category massage shops per hour pricing has gone up by between 10k to 20k rupiah compared to 4 years ago.

7. HJ from massage shops used to 100k rupiah lowest when started 4 years ago, today lowest my friends could get is 150k rupiah (after bargaining).

8. HJ from massage shops so far according to my friends is about 300k with relatively top notch service and they abide to almost all request. 300k were usually massage girl's 1st quote price. But non-dirty massage shops 1st quote price will at most time be higher than 300k rupiah (yes, even for MILF,hehehe..hence bargaining down is required).

9. FJ used to be 200k rupiah which i have tested (and verified by many others in the forum) about 4 over years in massage shops. Today according to friends ,minimum for fj in Batam is at 300k rupiah and more towards older MILF (30 years old and up) ,not SYT. SYT however can still be gotta at 400k rupiah after bargaining. 1st quote by girls usually 500k for those around 22 years old and up. And 600k for those who were younger. Its up to one to bargain downward. Lowest i have seen being bargained down on wechat, massage shops and is 300k (Batam 2017 best records). Booking joint lowest record for ST is known to me to be at 350k rupiah,hehehe...

10. Hair salon (V-salon) prices has gone up gradually each year from 60k to 100k over the last 3 over years too (cut-hair plus hair-wash plus face-wash).

* milf here is referred to "Mother i Love to Fuck"..and do note that most indonesian girls married young, hence there's still a chance anyone could get a 18 to 19 years old MILF. Or one could also get a 28 year old girl who's not married and has not given birth.

**above-said were just some collective info of my own, after i analysis it

Yakult at Top 100 supermarket 1 min walk from formosa hotel selling at 7k rupiah,hehehe...
Apart from the fact that I don't believe you can reach Top 100 in 60 seconds, not even if you run like at Olympic Games, for who saving 20 cents SGD can be worth any additional walk?

The Yakult bottle size is actually smaller than those you seen in Singapore. Its only in Batam that i learned that Yakult doesnt require refrigeration,hehehe...

It is not clear to me if you are making a joke here, but I think so.
It happened to me too, to see at Hypermart at Nagoya HIll tons of Yakult placed for sale on floor out of the refrigerator. The under-training of Indo staff in Batam is surprising at times. Just few hours will be enough to damage the product irreparably, just as yogurt or milk. Good luck to the stomach of those who eat that!:(

Gogo supermarket on the basement.ground floor of Harbour Bay Mall. Most things are cheap there (cheaper than Hypermart/K-Mart etc) and believe me,when i say cheap, its really cheap... (tho i cant say everything is cheap there tho)

https://img5.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26864/2686468557ddd979b3c8404147d4ab7867ff538f.jpg

...the only problem i have with this supermarket is that things tends to sell out fast and when they are sold out,its kind of difficult to see them restock...i learned that my Luwak coffee i was buying over the last few months was completely sold out,hehehe...i bought their last remaining ones.

https://img7.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26864/26864687a6ad7f51094fae7befcdcb8312e9b03a.jpg

...even the Mama Suka sambal chilli is almost gone too...hehehe...last few packs available. By now,it should have been gone.

202687

And the few of the food stores just opposite Gogo supermarket...

https://img9.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26864/2686468927910cd42a4df05e1c9555a3e05006d2.jpg

...Burger Boy cart (selling nice burgers) is also there too.

Wey Wey Coffee shop (2nd floor of Harbour Bay Ferry terminal, behind Malaya Cafe) tho opened for business, doesnt attract too many customers during the day.

202688

...and i finally caught a photo shot of the new official Harbour Bay ferry terminal Taxi stand, which is diagonally opposite Marriot Hotel.

https://img5.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26864/26864695e4f371dbc64866fb63f802f6d975502e.jpg

Do take note to look at the taxi stand sign board closely, there's a much smaller letter words that says..."30000 rupiah for the destination in the yellow zone". Below photo is about 4.97mb,the original photo size of the taxi stand sign above which is unedited. So, click on the spoiler at your own risk to view the full photo.

Old taxi stand that used to be just outside Harbour Mart no longer there but there are still taxi/ojek touts there. Their asking price however no longer as high as ever but still, there will be some who would try their luck with unsuspecting tourist, asking for 50k rupiah or more price.

Is seafood really cheap compare to SG ?

Do take note, I went to a row of shops that sell seafood, shop name something like wywy

The menu have dish images but does not have any pricing $$$, I have been a lone traveller to many other countries and experience is never order anything without pricing if not at the end will be bleeding like mad.

Order a few dishes but request to have the pricing stated clearly first before confirmation. The pricing quotation was 600K over. So give the go ahead

After finished the meal and requested for the bill. The bill came up to 1200K
Look for the capt and ask why ??????
Being street smart, I took a snapshot of the quotation earlier.

The capt came back with the answer saying the cashier double key in all the dishes as the answer.

Is seafood really cheap compare to SG?
After several years of "experiments", I can assert that there is some 3 to 1 price ratio between Singapore (places like Jumbo Seafood, East Coast Seafood Center) and Batam (places like Way Way or Windsor).

It is difficult or impossible to make an exact comparison, because you will not find exactly the same things, and also the amount of food in each dish is not necessarily the same, but at the end I see that eating alone in Singapore I can easily spend up to 100 SGD (1 chlly crab, 1 fish, 1 veggies, 1 rice, 1 juice) while in Batam I float around 350k rp (not the same list of dishes though).
Even if I take 1 or 2 girls with me, I hardly spend more tban 500k.

In Way Way, they never tried to cheat me. I don't ask the price before, but I check the bill before paying. The prices are always ok (but I cannot check that the weight of the fish has been not artificially inflated).

Another plus of Batam is that they never try to charge me 0.50 SGD for the tissues, or 2 SGD for peanuts that I DON'T WANT and I DON'T EAT :D

Bro,

Yes, one of the great benefits of going to Batam is to enjoy the good and cheao food and beers besides the young and beautiful ceweks, great golfing, sport and adventure, and nice massage. Also, shopping for some.

Our favourite food joint is the Windsor Food Court, located conveniently opposite our hotel, where we always have our dinner and beers together with our partners. There are several Halah fried food stalls, each offering 10% discount for the food. Our favourite live fish, the tiger grouper, is a must at about 330k per kilo. A good meal with beers + tidbits for the ceweks for our group will set us back by about the 250 to 300k each (+ partner), probably one third of the cost in Sg. Yes, it is nice that we do not need to pay for tissue, nuts,..., but receive constant attention from the beer girls. Enjoy and cheers.

WeyWey and Windsor are still expensive than places like Hai Ou, Ikan Bakar Acia (open air eatery beside Da Vienna Hotel) given their location and also Windsor is popular with cheongsters brought there by their drivers. Even J8 prices are reasonable. But, my opinion is from 4-5 months back. Not sure if it's still accurate now.

You can reject the wet tissue and peanuts in SG restaurants.

In Batam, Especially tourist places, u hv to be doubly care when dealing with money.

A couple friends who just visited Batam one week ago just related some bad experiences to me.

The couple went to get some drinks n foods at the food store (corner shop) at L2 Batam centre terminal.

The shop waiter tried to short change him $20k. Lucky my friend counted the money n went to look for the waiter where he immediately return him the $20k w/o even being asked.

Then his wife went to colour her hair at Christopher Salon at Negoya Hill Mall. Was quoted 1.2m for colour, treatment n cut. But the process took too long and was ask to come back for the cutting next day.

She was surprised was ask to pay 1.2m even w/o the cutting. The argument started but all the staffs started to gather at the counter to argue n to her there's no other way to win but just pay n go.

Just be mindful that there r groups who pray on tourists in Batam.

U guys may notice recently there's a anti-corruption banner just in front of Sindo ferry counter. Cos there's a syndicate that colludes with the Sindo staffs to cheat passengers returning to SG or MY.

Hahah that's the problem with me. I'm the type that if I like something, I don't mind having it everyday. Even here, I can have the same meal everyday for months without getting sick of it. So now suffer lor.

Hmm...this point we are quite similar,hehehe...notice over the past few months i have practically been posting about photos of "Fried Rice" aka Nasi Goreng? Even that Pattaya rice is also fried-rice-related too,hehehe... :D

(that plate of fried rice on the photo is mine,hehehe..)
https://img8.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26881/2688136855839c380d7b5698cb34cff900e9d137.jpg

My friend would often be telling me,never put all apples inside one basket but try to have at least few girls in one of each of those dozen booking joints,hehehe...or at least try to have (doesnt always have to be booking joint tho,hehehe...).

Hahah cny I can't. Colleagues already taking leave during that period. So only end of this month, end of Jan and end of Feb. Hahah nvm, maybe another time.

Its ok, there's still other months on 2019. If fate allows,i will get my chance to "smoke" you,hehehe... :p

*joking*

Hahah for me, a lot of times is like the girls a bit psycho kind. Scare me a bit. Like if I go to a joint and pick a girl and we hit it off, seems like some will warn the other girls off me for my next visits, so when I go back, the mami will straightaway try to push same girl to me. Make it awkward to try others, or when I insist on others and book them, keep getting asked by the new girl why I never take the same girl until I sian. Hahah got some until cry. Turn off sia, but make me feel damn bad like as if I killed their pet.

Yes,as i have written in my summaries before, girls in booking joints do carry their words around,hehehe...kind of like a competition,i guess. You know concubine in a Chinese Emperor, when the King isnt around, they starts to gossip (cos nothing better else to do),and then followed later by quarrels and fights.

Over the years, after i knew girls carry words of me around, i learned to put it into my advantage (result is fairly good as i can make them compete against each other and with that ,they provide at the least, an above average service level). In my summaries, i wrote...most booking joint girls wont say i am a bad guy but most often knew me as a super stingy one (when it comes to spending on them),hehehe...shall share more in future as its a really long story. :D

Come to think of it from the girl's perspective...i would asked myself, if i am the girls, would i have someone i have good feeling (+ good impression) to "bonk" me or would i be better off with a complete stranger? The girls (most of them),i believe would have a closer link with guys of the same or their closer race rather than with other races.

You took a bit of time to find your right girl, isnt it? To find another one,it will another bit of time again. And when one day you eventually finds it, do spend some time leisurely to find the next, and then the next and the next and so on.

Different people plays a different game in Batam,i guess. I simply choose not to let a situation controls me. I prefer to be in control of it instead. ;)

the batam mie rebus serve in a plate instead of bowl, less gravy
if you can remember the taste of mee rebus, the batam one is rather different

Thank you for sharing, next time if the timing is right,i shall give it a try,hehehe...i went to search of Indonesia Mee Rebus....and they look quite good,hehehe...

I think this one below might fit you and bro BFOMF5's description of Indonesia's Mee Rebus...

https://img1.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26881/26881381b0d58800b1645e1039711c4f066a7ced.jpg

I never see and know there is Mie Rebus in Batam. In fact, I dont know whether there is Mie Rebus in Indonesia..:)

I believe a lot of food from Malaysia and Singapore can be found in Batam,Indonesia.

One of my favourite food in Singapore and Malaysia which i can barely find in Batam were... Pork Ribs with sweet and sour sauce (糖醋肉).

https://img3.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26881/26881393aa4a5db39bf394e1a53e8b817c408e81.jpg

However having said that, i found the above dish...a imitation version in a Buddhist temple (Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Monastery),hehehe...except its in the form of vegetarian transformation. And i love it. Love the taste, love the price too.

https://img5.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26881/26881405e8cabdac6904519060454a7cc4f11549.jpg

https://img2.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/26881/268814126bb53c3149bdd7a9bea7ca039209a14c.jpg

...and they usually wont cost more than 30k rupiah (inclusive drinks) per person.

Usually I keep my excess money in the safe, my phone, tablet/laptop. But, that was when I used to stay at Hana. When I changed to Paragon, they don't have a safe so I keep much of my stuff with me, except the laptop.

i was always so tempted a few times to put my daily walking shoes into the safe,hehehe...becos the safe were usually at the location where i should put my shoes before i entered the room. :D

Try to sign up for Ag9da's mailing list. They usually have a further 5% discount (up to $50 per booking) that's sent via email.

Thank you for the info, getting into the mailing list is something i havent done yet. This year 2018,i have been targeting 2 stars hotel that has those exclusive rooms (paying 2 star cost and have a 3 star to 4 star quality room). Next year,i will still continue with what i left off in 2018 as i have not complete my task yet...but i will also be looking out for 4 stars or 4.5 star hotels with a swimming pool (more likely to just stay in their most basic room).

I am also looking at Marriot too,hehehe...likely to be trying end of 2019. :p

Reporting live fm batam now. Came early morning n able to check into Formosa at 11am batam time. Room is spacious n clean. Overall quite positive. Air con cold, water heater hot, flush ok, tv ok. Just low room n no safe. So I deposit most cash in cash n plan to do withdrawal daily ..... lol.

Pple who knows me in sg knows I’m into hunting. So once disembark, get a SIM card n start my wechat hunting. Almost immediately u get 10+ invites fm gals ... hahha. Something u never get in sg. But all r FL. So add a few to talk cock n ignore the rest .... chat up with a few locals n walk over to meet one after my breakfast at eatern fish store. Turn out lady just bored n wana chat. Waste my gd 20 mins walking there but I have ample time to burnt. Then slowly walk fm bcs mall side to Formosa. Took me a gd 30 mins and all perspiring.....

Check in n continue my hunt. Chat with 2 quite chio one but only chat. Then one local initiate a meetup n she suggested my room. Was quite skeptical n meet her at lobby instead. Turned out to be a working professional in freight line. Presentable n we proceed to room for chat..... cut story short, fingered her n she is squirter while she gave me a bbbj n swallow. Not too bad. Din fk her as I’m still skeptical if she will ask for money after tt. After the deed, made An excuse n off she goes but I promise to meet her again Tmr. Was half expectinh she will at least ask for taxi money but she din. Was pleasantly surprised.

Then the chio one ask me to meet her at BCS mall at nite but I have to turn her down as I m meeting one Skout gal tt I chatted bak in sg. Local Indo Chinese n she will drive me around for food tonite. Hope my luck remains gd.

Forget to add. In between the meet, went for an hr massage @ 110k n hj @ 100k. So far so gd n Cummed twice already.....

I only order seafood fried rice take away
knowing that these restaurant target tourist maybe, even knowing is just a pack of fried rice I also ask for the price. 27k :D. Nice!

Second time I went, price was $31k, but an egg was added. So still they are honest enough. Next to WeyWey or WyWy... is called Bay City. It its right beside the sea but the smell of the sea .... maybe not all the time. Hope they can do well and survive the competition.

Bro,

Nice FR, thanks.
You must be young and handsome to attract so many WLs and they are not interested in your money.
I have no such luck. The WLs which I befriended in social media, like WeChat and others, were interested to booster their meagre income by sleeping around. Two property agents wanted to charge me 1/2. 5 jutas for ST/LT, which I refused to pay. They are sophisticated and pretty. Other WLs are seriously interested to find a man and will only meet in safe places like restaurant or coffee shop. I managed to score with a hospital worker but she is a MILF with a child and not too subtle body. Had two shots with her but refused her offer to stay overnight with me so as not to spoilt my chance to book a nice cewek from WeChat later. Gave her some money and she happily drive home early as she had an early shift the next day.
The other ceweks which I booked on social media are mainly full-time professional workers doing moonlighting on their offdays or working for OKTs without an official business address.
Cheers.

Thnx for the gd comments. Luck plays a part. Right time right place. The Skout gal brought me to De’ Sampan for dinner. I think it’s overrated. Although I think still cheap. Fish, cockles, veg, sotong, satay drinks at only ~ $25 sgd. where to find.

Done my first shot into a local Chinese. Not too bad. She is too sticky. Wan stay over n I had a hard time asking her to go ...... will have to entertain her again Tmr afternoon after her work or unless I can find another one.

Happy hunting.....

I dun mind exchanging pt too. Pls up me n leave your nick. I have 15 humble pts to exchange .....

Thnx bro. Any one or two gd massage joints to go? Realize there is a lot. Haha.

Hehehe...very sorry bro,i dont like recommending. And one of the reason why i dont do that becos the girls turn-over rate is rather high in Batam massage shops and booking joints. Its like every 2 to 3 months new girls come, and old girls go etc. They dont seems to like to stay in a place for a long time and i mainly visit Batam only once or twice a month...most places today is so unlike ex permata indah booking joint (closed down).

My advise, try anything your feeling tells you is right. Its not expensive as massage per hour were usually about 70k to 120k per hour. Just be sure you try their basic package 1st before committing yourself into a more expensive one (test water). Also,if you are new,cut your expectation by half,hehehe... it is almost every man's dream to want to get a good relaxing massage ,followed by a "good ending".

Not rare in Batam, still it may takes a bit of time. ;)

Oh,and dont forget to bargain down from the girt's 1st/2nd quotation price for extra service too.

*also, avoid quoting my whole post, chances are it might get removed.

Thanks for the valuable tips, bro nono. I'm tempted to try new spa happy hour promo at 11am, only worry is not many gals have reported to work. For example, when i went to King's reception at 1pm, only 4 gals were available.

Something i learned about Batam's Spa. Never ever will i visit a spa when they just started business for the day. Hot pools wont be hot enough, cold room wont be cold enough, lack of service staffs to treat me like a King,hehehe...

i believe your next question might probably be, "then what is the better timing to go to a spa/massage place?".

Hehehe...simple calculation. Usually massage places or spa with that operates for more than 10 hours has 2 shifts. Use the starting hour of a massage shop/spa's 8 hours and their closing 8 hours. Go during in between.

Example : New Spa starts at 11am,ends at 11pm. 11am to 7pm is one shift. Counting operation timing backward 11pm to 3pm is also one shift. So in between 3pm to 6pm+ is the time where you have the highest chance to catch all the girls working in the house that day,hehehe... (avoid after 6.30pm tho,hehehe...1st shift girls will hate you when they are appointed to you and you dont take up their offer)

Side note : Above is the time theory for MP/Spa and NOT for overnight booking joint.

Apart from the fact that I don't believe you can reach Top 100 in 60 seconds, not even if you run like at Olympic Games, for who saving 20 cents SGD can be worth any additional walk?

Believe it or not,its a typo error. I run a point to point walk from Formosa to Top 100 online before i post the photo of the map and google says it takes 2 min to walk there. But yet i typed 1 min on screen,hehehe...

No one i believe ,will try to save S$0.20 by walking from Formosa to Top 100. But when i was typing the previous message,i was comparing with bro biostar's Hyper Mart 9k Yakult at Nagoya Hill Mall (Nagoya Hill Mall took an about 5 mins walk to reach and my reply quoted by you was meant for him too). If i dont remember wrong, the ground floor provision shop (not the K-Mart beside hotel entrance) behind Formosa hotel's same block sells Yakult at 7.5k rupiah.

I wont use an about 5 mins of travel time to head to another place just to buy something that cost more. I was looking to travel in lesse time to buy things cheaper,hehehe...

I thought i was the only one in Batam to notice that lots of Yakult werent refrigerated (staffs obviously lacking knowledge). I told my parents about it and they tell me to be careful too about the non-refrigerated ones,as probiotic drinks such as Yakult require constant colder temperature storage. ;)

*Nagoya Hill Mall and other shopping malls usually switch off their building air-con around 830pm Batam time and have them turn on next morning at about 10am.

What are probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are called "the good" microorganisms because they benefit the body, specifically the digestive system. Probiotics, available in some foods and dietary supplements, are similar to probiotics that exist naturally in your gut.

Putting good/bad live bacteria that is found existing naturally in my gut in a normal room temperature is definitely not going to be a good thing for them,hehehe...

Is seafood really cheap compare to SG ?

Yes,it definitely is cheaper in Batam compared to Singapore. No doubts at all base on experience, even tho i practically dont take sea food,hehehe.. In fact, i can safely say almost ALL "food" is generally cheaper in Batam as compare to Singapore,hehehe...even when i give a fairer comparison base on Hawker versus Hawker, Food court versus Food court, Hotel versus Hotel,Tourist area versus Tourist area,Coffee shop style versus Coffee shop style etc, over the same kind of food.

Do take note, I went to a row of shops that sell seafood, shop name something like wywy

Ever wonder why Wey Wey Sea food at Harbour Bay isnt in my Batam food listing on my signature? I went thru it earlier and realize even Windsor Food court isnt in it too,hehehe...i did a handful of write-outs on Batam's food court,i also cant believe it myself that i didnt mention about this Windsor food court at all,hehehe... (i was there a few times)

Actually Windsor food courts kind of reminds me of those Singapore open-air hang flower night clubs, like those around Clifford Pier or Great World a very long time ago. No wonder many older generation love that ambiance there,hehehe...a scene during the 60s to 80s that is no longer available in Singapore but still available in Malaysia and Batam.

Imagine I can be $$$ ripped off if i am not careful.

One more thing to add, next time, order all food in smaller portion (if you are eating alone or with only 2 person of course). I mean there is a S size, M size and L size,hehehe...just take a S sizeif your group is small. If you dont mention the portion size during when the waiter/waitress is taking order, your dishes will likely comes in L size.

My only few experiences at Wey Wey was 3 person eating there costing around 650k rupiah (if i didnt remember wrong), and that was few years ago when exchange rate was around 9000 rupiah/SGD. Luckily i am not the one paying the bill,hehehe...

* i also notice some sea food places (eg, Hotels,air-coned Sea food restaurants etc) that has a price tag on menu can sometime be more expensive than those without. Comparing with serving size via price.

Knowing we are SG with powerful SG currency exchange. Many have their knife sharpen and waiting for any person who is not aware.

Regardless is call chicken, food, massage etc, etc. Ask for price first unless you are fucking rich then no need

Play and Eat Smart and not dummy

100% agreed with your saying on the above.

Hehehe...it was also the strong currency that most if not all Singaporean are paying your above mentioned kind of bills marked in RED on your above quote,....blindfolded in Batam. :p

Perhaps 5 to 10 years down the road, the very same people might likely come to some public forums or some facebook-type internet social media to start making noise that Batam is getting more and more expensive,hehehe...i read the Batam info thread's info written of more/about 10 years ago and learned that. History repeats and i learned from it. :D

* i took notes of the price up and drops in Batam as well over the last 4 years with my trip summaries, info records and info post tracks.

** pricing on everything in every country will definitely goes upward (inevitable), key thing is...how fast and by how much each time within a period of time. ;)

For the explorers.
There's a newly opened cinema in Batam.

Pm for pts exchange or meet. Likely will go for one round of massage, clean gd one n then movie with her later. Any gd massage place to go?

You are in Formosa hotel? If so,opposite Formosa has a Relax Massage (clean,1 min walk) and the hotel itself has a King Massage that starts at 9am onward. Looking for couple massage? Then you may wish to try Nagoya Massage and Spa just 9 o'clock from formosa hotel (about 3 mins walk). They have couple massage too, just that this kind of massage spa places ,prices in per-hour basis wont come cheap.

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/a3.jpg

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/a2.jpg

Alternatively, you can ask your girl to recommend you, just hope she dont recommend you places like Tempat Senang Spa Resort, which is Batam most expensive (can cost around S$200 plus per pax,if i dont remember wrong),hehehe...a truly luxury massage spa in Batam. :D

Another alternative would be in-room massage together with your girl (4th floor King Massage),hehehe...which i believe is best for myself. Book 2 massage girls, get them to come to your room for a few hours massage (go upstairs 4th floor to look at their menu if you need to). The rest i guess you know what to do. For your info ,there is a sauna room in King massage which as a hotel guest yourself, can use it for free (2 pax free) and this sauna, practically no one using it or rarely knew it existed,hehehe... So if you want hanky panky with your girls after/before a massage....well....do what you deem right...hehehe... :D

* you can even get 4 girls to massage 2 pax if you wish to too,you design your own package.

The nearest theater is at Nagoya Hill Mall but thats the place i dont like to go with girls (girl's favourite theater becos its in a mall). My favorite theater is still Harbour Bay Mall where there is couple seat called Sweet Box (for privacy). But as mentioned by many bros here, this Harbour Bay mall is a close-to-dead mall,hehehe...many girls dont like it becos they cannot use that mall to spend their guy's money. Around Harbour Bay Mall also has quite a handful of massage places too,all within a few mins walk.

For clean massage, another choice would be to type in Batam Massage in google search engine. Sure to come out with something. Nagoya Hill Mall's perimeter also have about a dozen clean MPs too. Take a walk around there to look see if you happen to be there.

Everyone's game is different tho,hehehe.... and it seems like you found your own game board in Batam which you can enjoy yourself, hope you have a good time.

Cheers! ;)

*i rarely go Batam on weekends tho. :p

** i forgot to add that New Spa at Batam City Hotel is a unisex spa,hehehe...just a reminder.

Thnx. Heading to madurani massage tt is recommended by yesterday afternoon wechat find tt give me a bbbj. She claims it’s very gd. Will try it out. Google search n found its nearby. Anyone try before? If not will give feedback later.

Anyway, those who like kopi can try the kopi here. My gal bought kopi c for me just now n it’s one of the better ones I tried. She got it from a random store n I think the standard should be the same. The noodles she bought n the nasi lemak were gd. Soya bean milk is nice. A typical cheap b/f which she says coat 63k. 2 packs of wanton mee, one nasi, one kopi c n one soya bean

Other than Indo Rasa massage (closed down), Madurani massage is one of my favourite place for dick massage by some really very old ladies (early 50s of age). ;)

A place good for revitalizing of my manhood when i am in Batam (also depending on which lady who does it). This place is worthy of a try if one is looking for "good health",hehehe...other than Sports massage of course.

Take their shop's contact name card, they can go to your room to massage too (but at double the price,if i dont remember wrong).

Cheers!

interested in this dick massage but Madurani massage location seems like a bit ulu.

is it sports massage or sports massage & spa?

why do the girls all reject to go apartment? i stay airbnb then all girls reject say can only go to hotel.

Hmm...it could be a residential area bro. If you are Batam's resident, what would your wife/mother/sister/girlfriend do when your neighbourhood you live in were infest with prostitution? Its just a reflection of Singapore HDB area's Chinese massage shops that were shut down by vice a long time ago. Remember Singapore's Joo Chiat/Chinatown's major plus plus massage shops? And how most of them were wipe out?

Another thing that plays a role too, that would be the distance may be too far for the girl's 2 way trip (offer to pay the 2 way transport and then try again,hehehe...).

any idea if the shops that book 1 whole day can bring back to apartment/house? or diedie bo bian must book hotel?

Check with the girls themselves for answer before finalizing the deal, some might take the risk, some wont (its weekend bro,Batam girls wont have lack of business to do). Be discreet tho. My primary objective is to make myself happy when i go on a holiday, not other way round. ;)

Sports massage dont have girls providing dick massage. Madurani does (just not every massage girl do that tho).

In Batam, Especially tourist places, u hv to be doubly care when dealing with money.

Agreed with that and especially so when one is there for the 1st few times and not able to understand the country's culture well enough.

Well...Batam Center ferry terminal, a ferry terminal that many Singapore tour agent use it to bring Singaporean to Batam. Much more than from Harbour Bay ferry terminal.

Sincerely thank you for sharing. This is good info and i shall keep them as part of my Info Vault,hehehe...

I google Christopher Salon and apparently your friend isnt the only who got cheated there.

Below quotes were extracted from Trip advisor and happens to a tourist , in the other branch at BCS mall.

Today I went for hair color at CHRISTOPHER salon at BCS. It was terrible and I feel so cheated!!!!!! I enquired how much and I did confirm the price before I proceeded with the treatment. They also mentioned that it comes with free reflexology and I double confirmed the price again before I proceeded. Out the blue when I almost finish the treatment, the price changed and it became 35% more expensive! I was told that the reason was because the reflexology was not included in the price quoted. How could they suddenly change the price when treatment is almost done?! This is not acceptable!!! They told me it's a miscommunication! However, after checking their review online, it shows that it doesn't just happen to me but there's so many of them that experience the same thing! How could a miscommunication happen to so many people? Bad comm-representatives? Or bad business ethic? Do we even need to make a black and white contract before we proceed for hair treatment? Gosh!

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/a4.jpg

They even have a price menu but yet they can over charge (according to what i read is 35% extra),hehehe...and by the way, there is at least a dozen complaint on this hair salon (and i havent count in other sites,hehehe...). Note that there is quite a handful of branches beside the Nagoya Hill Mall and BCS ones. There's another one at Batam Center too.

This is the 1st time i hear Batam's hair salon industry also has bad eggs. :(

U guys may notice recently there's a anti-corruption banner just in front of Sindo ferry counter. Cos there's a syndicate that colludes with the Sindo staffs to cheat passengers returning to SG or MY.

Oh...anyway,we have a bro here in SBF who once almost got cheated by Kaha travel's staff at Batam center,hehehe...left behind a bad name to the company. Now even Sindo ferry company also plays that game,hehehe...interesting indeed.

Thank you again for sharing. (i ,thank you becos i learned something)

after being btm for years, the taxi price finally drops...lol,can r'ber sm years ago in the forum, tere was a discussion on hw much taxi fare shld be @ hb...& tere was sm debates of 30rb - 50rb...lol,nw good liao...lol

Hehehe...i vividly remember those discussion. I remembered becos i was one of the few who kind of insisted not to fork 50k rupiah or higher for a point A to point B trip from Harbour Bay,hehehe...few years later before my Batam 4th year, 50k rupiah becomes almost like a norm in the thread. I almost forgot how to bargain with taxi drivers since over the last 1 odd year, respective hotels will pick me up,hehehe....some even send me back to ferry terminal too.

nw go liao...all standard @ 30rb...lol...formosa used 2 b 50+ - 60 dollar,nw drop til 41+...lol...& then i count in the ovr 10rb/sgd exchg rate...wow! mayb time 2 go p galang...lol

**above-said were just some collective info of my own, after i analysis it

u got go ngoya hill mall taxi std see the taxi price list? will scare u de,cost ani time 70rb & up within nagoya...lol...onli can hope sg tourist wn't b stupid ani more 2 take taxi frm tere....lol...at least bcs mall stil no as bad. :p

Those touts at the taxi stand were very rude and threatened me with loud voices when i tried to take a photo of the taxi price chart. Hence from that day onward,i stop taking taxi from Nagoya Hill Mall front door. I take a one min walk, out of Nagoya Hill Mall parking gantry entrance to hail a taxi if i ever need a ride.

Seems to me Batam's WORST taxi drivers were now consolidated mainly in Nagoya Hill Mall,hehehe...WORST is a strong word to me and i mean what i said base on my very own experience.

* Worst is a strong word. Its worse than just the word BAD.

No worries. It’s 6am here n awaken by my wechat gal who bought local breakfast for me before she heads for work. Hmmm. Really getting sticky. But no complaints. Free breakfast n one round fired to start my day. Always gd to just lift up a OL short skirt, only semi unbuttoned her top n rammed in hard fm behind.... she had asked for raw as it’s safe period ..... but big head always wins.... play safe n chong without worries.....

Pm for pts exchange or meet. Likely will go for one round of massage, clean gd one n then movie with her later. Any gd massage place to go?

Basket. She is right. Darn safe period. She having her menses now. Wtf. So morning is my last shot n she is sticking to me now like glue. To make things worst, the few gals I chat all ask for a meet tonite. Hmmm. One ask to go drink n one ask to come over my room to chat. That’s life. Resigned to nite movie later n no further action except bbbj. Errrrr. Racking my brain to think of a reason to kick her off. Lol.

Bro Nono,

I believed you are not up-to-date in your pricing for overnight booking girls. Where in Batam can you get a cewek for 700k LT unless it is one of the very old 50+ ceweks in some of the less popular booking joints. The current price should range from 1.0 juta upwards. Hehehe.

location bro ndnd?thanks.

Mall Botania 2 (MB2) is located at the Botania area, nearby Mustafa Plaza. If you take Batam Centre ferry terminal as a reference point, turning right after exiting ferry terminal is the direction to head to Nagoya area. For MB2, you turn leftwards; it’s about 15-20mins away from Batam Centre ferry terminal.

It’s a real nice and big mall; officially opened on 1 Dec. Prices there seem to be cheaper than Nagoya Hill or BCS simply because it’s not expected to be frequented by tourists, but by locals. The nearest hotels are back in the Batam Centre area, eg Kaliban Hotel, Harris Hotel.

For the “hunters”, you will be happy to know that Universitas Batam (Batam University) is located very near to MB2, so you can be sure that MB2 will be frequented by lots of uni SYTs... Happy hunting...!! :p;)

Are you using iOS or Android?

For android phones, if you reboot your phone and allow gps location, it should allow the actual time to re-sync for the timezone you are in.

Last trip I went, my phone displayed both SG and Batam timezones automatically upon my arrival. When I left Batam, the Indo timezone disappeared when I returned to SG.

knowing that these restaurant target tourist maybe, even knowing is just a pack of fried rice I also ask for the price. 27k :D. Nice!

Second time I went, price was $31k, but an egg was added. So still they are honest enough.

Thanks for sharing the pricing. Now i finally know how expensive fried rice can cost in Batam,hehehe...i am thankful now for the 22k to 24k rupiah fried rice (inclusive drinks). It doesnt come with an egg tho,hehehe...

..Next to WeyWey or WyWy... is called Bay City. It its right beside the sea but the smell of the sea .... maybe not all the time. Hope they can do well and survive the competition.

Otherwise how Wey Wey Sea food restaurant boss/es can come out with their very own Wey Wey Hotel that is built from the ground,up to 10 storey high? Hehehe...oh,talk about the smell of the sea at Harbour Bay...its especially "enticing" when the sea level goes low. :D

Between sea side restaurants and rooftop restaurants,i prefer rooftop (even if building isnt tall enough). Well, unless its those sea side restaurant away from city area,eg KTM resort, those kelong type Sea Food restaurant etc.

Its worse than just the word BAD.

...but leave the girl in the room? and give her the room card/key ? if so must ask for extra room card/key when check in?

Yes,most hotel room in Batam is meant for 2 person to stay in ,hence they are most likely to give me 2 room keys. But i would usually ask for 3 room keys becos the 3rd room key is for the in-room key slot that turns on all the electricity inside the room. Some hotels will not give me 3 room keys tho but they would still give me 2 room keys and 1 extra card key that cannot open room door (its just a spare key meant solely for the power supply slot).

If i trust the girls enough (girls whom i have booked before),i will give them a room key, otherwise i wont. One worry could be,they accidentally leave the door unlock and what if someone else entered? So make sure to constantly remind the girls to lock the room door properly when they wish to step out. Keep your valuable (if any) safely away if you are leaving the room to your girl/s alone.

Some girls dont like to be left alone in the room,so please be sure to check with them if they are comfortable with it. And if you are going to come back within an hour or 2,dont be too honest with your girls. Just tell her you will be back in 3 to 4 hours time or longer. Surprise element intended for the girls,hehehe... :p

I am sure you dont want your girls to bring in her friends inside your room when you arent around, right? Worse,a guy friend. And dont attempt to be greedy thinking you can have a threesome/foursome if she brings in some girlfriend/s too (most Indonesian girl i have seen in Batam were not trained into this type, but i dont mean they dont exist tho). ;)

Hope that answers most of your question/s.

Cheers!

For the explorers.
There's a newly opened cinema in Batam.
A new shopping mall complex actually.
Is call MB2 or Mall Botannia 2.
Not sure it's in Google map but it's next to Mustafa plaza. Alot of anchor tenants eg Hypermart, SB, KFC, BT, JCO, etc.

Thank you sir for the info.

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/20180709_094610.jpg

Location-wise is pretty faraway from Nagoya area tho....nearby to Batam University tho.

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/20180709_094610c899e.jpg

...and indeed,there's a cinema and a hypermart...hehehe...

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/20180709_094610a51c0.jpg

CineMaxx dont seems to belong to Cinema 21 nor Blitz organization...

*Becos movie tickets were cheap in Batam (max 35k rupiah per pax),hence i think its worth it (compared to Singapore) to take a taxi (2 way) to this Mall Botania 2 just to watch a movie if i am in a group. Hope hotels will have shuttle service there (which i doubt ,as so far i didnt notice any hotel that provide shuttle service 2-ways to Mega Mall nearby Batam Center).

A lot of Batam's major businesses step into this new mall, but due to its ulu-ness,hope it doesnt end up like Harbour Bay mall or Center Point Mall,hehehe...nonetheless, no buisness place in Batam to me can at times mean a place for cheaper things to buy,hehehe...

Seems to me at least there will be another upcoming major shopping mall by the name Park Avenue coming up in times to come.

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/08/a2606b9.jpg

Its where the new Blitz theater would be,hehehe...found it while looking thru CineMaxx. (and Citra Plaza near City Walk mall might have a new cinema21 theater in the years to come too,hehehe...)

Just keeping records here.

Cheers!

For the “hunters”, you will be happy to know that Universitas Batam (Batam University) is located very near to MB2, so you can be sure that MB2 will be frequented by lots of uni SYTs... Happy hunting...!! :p;)

I havent thought of that when i saw its near Batam's University,hehehe...its a good idea from your post indeed. I have seen a few of them (female) doing some survey thingy for their school projects,hehehe.....:p

No need to approach them, they approach me instead,hehehe...

。。.oh,talk about the smell of the sea at Harbour Bay...its especially "enticing" when the sea level goes low. :D

If you know that the area is the delta ( river mouth) of Jodoh river...
If you know that the whole jodoh untreated liquid waste flow from all big or small "longkang" into this area.
then you would understand why.....

One was near the bedside, the other was was for the coffee maker, there's for the refrigerator and last one....was outside the balcony.

can try bcc hotel premier suite next time, they hv good bath tub...rm is 60sqm & super spacious. :p

Its a very crowded mall, due to many housing complexs nearby. Not ulu. High populated area. Even on weekdays and hypermart no open yet. Once open, the crowd will even increase. Anyone know if there is any Basketball court or a hotel with a big swimming pool near Nagoya so that I can exercise and bonk the gals at the same time haha. Looking to lose a little weight. I only know of hotel 01 with Swimming pool but it is far from Nagoya area where the booking shops are at.

Gonna stay at hotel 01 with a indo maid I know from Singapore on January near batam centre. Any fun things to do there other than shopping at mega mall? Thanks!

please try avoid this WeChat call girl

Collect Money before the action by motor guy, then lousy and rushing service.

Bros,

All brothers adventurous enough to book WeChat ceweks in Batam should exercise due diligence to ensure their personal safety and also of their assets and properties at all times. Locked all money and assets in your room safe before meeting these cewek. If possible, video chat and talk to the girls and always check them out at the lobby to ensure 'what you get is what you see' before bringing them to your room. Beware of ladyboys unless you are interested in these type of ladies. Try not to book WeChat ceweks for LT unless you have booked them before as most WeChat ceweks will disappear after 1 or 2 shots and seldom stay overnight.

As for the service standard of these ceweks, you are at the losing side although personal charm, good chemistry and additional tips may somewhat help. Even booking ceweks from booking joints do not always ensure good service. WeChat ceweks on ST are always in a rush to finish their jobs fast and move on to another one. They have no interest to provide good service and do not care for their reputation, as these girls know the market well, constantly changing their names and often have another full-time job. It may help to negiotate for payment at end of the service but few will accept this condition. It is all a game of chance.

It is often better to get your ceweks from booking joints to ensure ease of mind but their quality might not suit your liking and WeChat girls are often known to spike ones adrenalin sky high.

Exercise care and enjoy, cheers.

2 supposingly good movies should be coming to Batam,hehehe...one of them is Aquaman, tentatively should be coming near the week before Christmas.

AquaMan

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/11/a2.jpg

SYNOPSIS :

*Arthur Curry is Aquaman

In Maine, lighthouse keeper Tom Curry rescues Atlanna, the princess of the underwater nation of Atlantis, and they fall in love and have a son, Arthur Curry, who is born with the power to communicate with marine lifeforms. Atlanna is forced to abandon her family and return to Atlantis, entrusting to her loyal advisor Nuidis Vulko the mission of training Arthur. Under Vulko’s guidance, Arthur becomes a skilled warrior, but is rejected by the Atlanteans for being a half-breed and ultimately leaves Atlantis behind.

One year after Steppenwolf’s invasion, Arthur confronts pirates led by Jesse Kane, who have been hijacking nuclear submarines. Kane is killed during the confrontation, and his son, David Kane, vows revenge against Arthur. David later targets Atlantis at the behest of his employer, Arthur’s half-brother King Orm, who uses the seemingly unprovoked attack as a pretext to declare war on the surface. Nereus, ruler of the kingdom of Xebel, supports him, but Nereus’ daughter Mera, who has been betrothed to Orm, refuses to aide them and journeys to the surface to ask Arthur for help, earning his trust by saving Tom from a tidal wave sent by Orm. Arthur reluctantly accompanies Mera to a rendezvous with Vulko, who urges Arthur to find the Trident of Atlan, a magic artifact that once belonged to Atlantis’ first ruler, in order to reclaim his rightful place as king. They are ambushed by Orm’s men, and Mera and Vulko escape, while Arthur is captured.

Orm visits Arthur in captivity and announces that Atlanna was executed for the crime of having a half-breed son, blaming Arthur and the surface for her death. He offers Arthur an opportunity to leave forever, but Arthur instead challenges him to a duel in a ring of underwater lava. Orm gains the upper hand and nearly kills Arthur before Mera rescues him. Together, Arthur and Mera journey to the Sahara desert, where the trident was forged, and unlock a holographic message that leads them to Sicily, where they retrieve the trident’s coordinates. Meanwhile, Orm provides David with Atlantean armor and weaponry and sends him to stop them, imprisons Vulko upon learning of his betrayal, and coerces the remaining five kingdoms of Atlantis to pledge allegiance to him and his campaign against the surface.

In Sicily, Arthur and Mera are ambushed by David, who fights and injures Arthur before being thrown off a cliff to his apparent death. Mera nurses Arthur’s wounds as they journey to the trident’s whereabouts, and encourages him to embrace his destiny as a hero. Arriving at their destination, Arthur and Mera are attacked by a legion of amphibious monsters known as the Trench, but manage to fend them off and reach a wormhole that transports them to an uncharted sea located at the center of the Earth. There, they are unexpectedly reunited with Atlanna, who was sacrificed to the Trench for her crimes, but manage to escape them and reach the uncharted sea, where she has been stranded ever since.

Arthur faces Karathen, the mythical leviathan that guards the trident, and voices his determination to protect both Atlantis and the surface, proving his worth and reclaiming the trident, which grants him control over the seven seas. Arthur, Mera and Atlanna lead an army of marine creatures in battle against Orm and his followers, who renounce their obedience to Orm and embrace Arthur as the true king upon learning he wields the trident. Arthur defeats Orm in combat, but chooses to spare his life, and Orm accepts his fate after discovering Arthur has found and rescued their mother. Atlanna returns to the surface to reunite with Tom, while Arthur ascends to the throne, with Mera by his side, and embraces his fate as Aquaman.

In a post-credits scene, David is rescued by Dr. Stephen Shin, a scientist obsessed with finding Atlantis, and agrees to lead Shin there in exchange for his help to kill Arthur.

The Trailer :

https://youtu.be/WDkg3h8PCVU

The storyline of Aquaman is a good one but how well the movie can portray the essence of the story,well...gonna watch it to know,hehehe...this movie is afterall from DC comics and a handful of DC comics-made movie were known to boring, stale etc etc. Hopeful this one doesnt put anyone to sleep in the theater,hehehe...

https://pixator.org/images/2018/12/11/a3.gif

Enjoy the movie, enjoy Batam...but please, avoid food and drinks in theater,hehehe...expensive stuffs costing more than the movie ticket itself,hehehe... :D

Hi,any feedback? What’s the damage like for the dick therapy at the shop?

Damage is the same or at times even lower than a regular HJ in many Batam massage places. But dont bully them (they are not pretty-looking nor young girls), just pay them their due. Dick massage is not like the regular JG by China girls (in China) nor is it like those i have got from Malaysia. Its just repeated massage of my dick with fairly good strength that doesnt hurt my little bro.

Must take package deal including massage or strictly just dick therapy? Thanks

There is no package for dick massage in most shops. The one i knew has package only does it for maximum 5 mins and by much younger girls. I dont waste my time on those. i look for 1.5 hour massage,of which more than 30mins of the time, the girls were focusing on my little bro.

Hehehe...imagine this, 3 girls in my room, one doing concentrated dick massage, the other 2 younger ones has their pussies on each of my middle finger while still massaging me. The only sad thing is, i only have 2 hands,hehehe...its really "HELL" on earth. :D

* dont bother asking me for location nor PM me for it. This kind of places is everywhere and i often tell my friends, try everything and come back here to share...per hour massage is not expensive in Batam.

Cheers!

Not at Viovio beach. Only thing available for rental is banana boat, but I wouldn't get on it. There are 3 sets of swings for photo taking which you can access to only when it is low tide without getting wet.

Watched movie at Nagoya hill last sat. According to my gal, there’s ongoing promo for 1 + 1 for a credit card. Darn cheap. Ticket is 45k. So is 45k for 2. N the staff will sell popcorn n drinks inside the theater before the movie starts.

70k rupiah is for 2 person right?

One thing good about Batam's theaters is ,i actually can order those snack and i simply walk into the movie hall empty-handed and they send those snacks to me about 15mins later after the movie start.

Good service indeed for their delivery but it bothers me a bit as i find it a bit inconsiderate to the other movie patron. Oh,i like the couple seat sweet box in Batam's theater too.

I ever took from wechat cuz freaking high when reach room after drinking and lazy to walk out. But disappointed cuz girl verylike robot one. Pretty compared to some but zero service and all. Always complaining, looking at herself in mirror and basically not paying attention.
Asked her to leave after about 15 mins and she never said anything and just left!! KNS.
Then (Still horny mah) decided to call hotel massage service. The hotel massage service usually is an outsourced service. The hotel i stayed in no MP one.

The one tat the local indo gal recommend has closed down. In the end, I went for 4 hands massage.

For myself,i often take their most basic to test water,hehehe...i wont straight away jump onto a higher package/deal. Which is why i can dwell in one single MP for 3 to 4 hours a day and at times to nearly 6 hours when i found a gem,hehehe...

A lot of things in Batam have, Singapore dont (otherwise it will cost way much more),hehehe...but a lot things a man can think of can be satisfied in that island near Singapore,hehehe...and at a much lower price. ;)

Speaking base on my own experience and findings.

Nothing to shout about as the masseur dun seem to have done it before. So weird experience. But was darn cheap. Gd clean joint n was surprised but tried to offer hj at different period of massage n discreetly without trying to let the other know. Haha.

The "doing-the-wrong-thing" at "not-the-right-place" and yet "afraid-of-getting-caught" feeling feels good, isnt it? :D

I love these type of places in Batam,hehehe...especially Harbour Bay Blitz movie theater,hehehe... :p

Bro,
Happy8 probably got the most ceweks among the booking joints in Batam and also command the best business there mainly because of its excellent location. Discount is difficult under such conditions and especially during PH and the weekends. We got to blame ourselves for giving them so much businesses but what to do, we got to look after our needs.
So enjoy yourself when it is still affordable, otherwise consider cheaper location such at T. Balai. Cheers.

The girls still working there,hehehe...but switch side to the salon beside the joint in alternate days,hehehe...and price same,700k rupiah (plus her friend, also at the same price). Mami give her 350k rupiah,i book 3 nights straight. Few Ramadan ago,she can only send back 1 juta to her parents, but top her up another 1 juta,hehehe...one year once,so its justifiable,hehehe...

no need reply 2 tose in disguise lor,bcs wen u replied ,u r @ wil b losing end...lol...i knw @ lest 3 out of 14 bj who can get ovrnite gers @ below 1 jt & they definitely below 30...lol..u wan giv clue bo? i leave it 2 u....lol :D

Give out clue? What for? But i itchy now,hehehe...so i type this see if you can understand,hehehe...

1/14 = 700k rupiah

2/14 = 800k rupiah

3/14 = 900k rupiah

All in all is 6/14. 15 and 16 is pretty good but i prefer to keep them away from the radar.

Some things are better not replied. Example,i tell you Batam has S$0.50 apple when almost everyone is paying S$1 for it,then your next question to me will be, which shop sells those apples at S$0.50? The apple must be sour apple thats why its S$0.50...so how am i to answer the next question that follows? I choose to ignore your very 1st words telling me Batam only have S$1 apple left, nothing else is cheaper. Cheaper apple at S$1 or lesser must definitely be sour, wont taste good. i agree with you, i am out-dated and the apple is sour,hehehe...you win,i lost. You feeling happier now? Hehehe...just let me enjoy my own S$0.50 apple....ok? Peace out....

70k rupiah is for 2 person right?

Yup for 2 pax. There was a cinema staff selling snacks and he went outside to pick up our drink because he did not have it with him. Very good service I feel

Bro,
Happy8 probably got the most ceweks among the booking joints in Batam and also command the best business there mainly because of its excellent location. Discount is difficult under such conditions and especially during PH and the weekends. We got to blame ourselves for giving them so much businesses but what to do, we got to look after our needs.

Thanks for the advise bro.

The price is still affordable for now, I was just lamenting that I couldn't get a discount.

what to do as I'm quite hooked with this particular cewek. I know I have to start looking for more girls and not just rely on one. She is consistently booked daily over the past 4 weeks. Time to pay a visit to other joints to expand my basket.

But I feel my taste is very hard to satisfy. Because it's really hard for me to find a cewek whom looks pleasant to my eyes. The rest of the girls in happy8, none fits the bill. Although I would argue in my defence that their age and figure isn't that important compared to their face.

Thanks for sharing bro. This Premier suite looks good!

I spent my 3 nights in the junior suite at Da Vienna. Quite a nice room, but during this peak period of December holidays, the price on Agoda skyrocketed to $105/night.

Bro,
OK, you are in love, smittened by that beautiful cewek in Happy8. Unsure why you have not got the special link to her heart as you are an ardent admirer. She would have arrange to meet you in the hotel when you are in Batam at her special rate. Otherwise, it is a waste of time to persue her and you should consider getting the attention of another cewek in Batam. Cheers.

Trust me bro, I tried and she refused. My best guess is that she didn't want to jeopardise her job at Happy8. Although her explanation was that she could not leave Happy8 without a paying customer.

I am not aware that ceweks are able to do what you mentioned. And she did tell me that out of her booking fee, she only gets 615k.

Once again, I thank you for your advise. I have probably committed all the mistakes which I should not, including letting small head overrule big head.

Go too early, the ceweks are sleeping. Go too late, you are left with beefcakes and porkchops. It is really difficult to synchronise the exact timing when most of the better quality ceweks are available but it is better to go early rather than late. Early bird catches the worm. Maybe, just after an early lunch and go to Happy8 in the early afternoon before 1pm. You can hang around there if the better quality ceweks are still not ready. Enjoy and cheers.

Or just go behind where the ang pais hang around as they are not required to sit in the fish tank. Just walk towards the back. On the left is the hairdressing room. Can spot ceweks inside there too.

...will definitely be sent back, or in lieu of that, a donation of at least $100 will have to be made to the Batam immigration lunch fund.

Just a small question out of curiosity.

If going into Batam with a less than 6 months expiry passport might have a chance to be charge S$100,then what about going back to Singapore time? I come Batam,i definitely have to go back...will that S$100 guarantee me that i wont be charged another time when i leave?

*i understand this type of question,no one would be able give me an exact definite answer (unless they work for the immigration,hehehe...),so no obligation to reply.

I asked the question beside just being curious, partly becos i was also puzzled by a case whereby a friend who was pull-over by the immigration when he was about to leave Batam on the last ferry and has to fork out some money or else he will have to continue to stay in Batam for that night. Go to the Singapore Consulate the next day at Batam Center and do up all the proper document before he is allow to leave Batam....again (the ferry ticket will also be forfeited).

* my friend end up paying becos he doesnt want to drag the whole incident on. He speaks Bahasa/Malay.

Lesson learned on his trip, make sure my passport at least more than 6 months via expiring, otherwise dont go Batam.

If you know that the area is the delta ( river mouth) of Jodoh river...
If you know that the whole jodoh untreated liquid waste flow from all big or small "longkang" into this area.
then you would understand why.....

Oh,so you saying the river water all flows back to the sea with the waste in it? Interesting...hehehe...no wonder when i was on the 8th floor,i could still smell the exact same scent like the Singapore Chinatown small drain during the early 80s. It mainly happens during low tide time and when i open my hotel room window in the morning (was hoping for some fresh air),hehehe....i wonder how those eating close to the sea bay area during low tide time at Wey Wey/Harbour sea food restaurant feel when they were there,hehehe....maybe the tasty sea food scent covers them all up.

Just a thought.

Its a very crowded mall, due to many housing complexs nearby. Not ulu. High populated area. Even on weekdays and hypermart no open yet. Once open, the crowd will even increase.

Interesting, thank you for the additional info. Think i will drop by this mall after the 1st quarter of 2019,hehehe...

Suprisely i need to Q for dinning at Kaiten Sushi, long waiting list. Lucky one the staff recognise me and allowed me to jump Q :D

You go during lunch hour peak period? Weekends?

I ask cos i usually skipped lunch/dinner hour prime time.

Lunch time in Batam usually were at around 1145am to 130pm.

Dinner time usually around 6pm to 730pm. Those were Indonesia timezone.

Most time when i have a group of friends with me,our dinner meet up time were usually after 7pm and if its lunch time, usually around 130pm or after.

Why so? Becos of the 1 hour time lapse between Singapore and Indonesia timezone,hehehe...i ask my friends to fall in at lobby area for dinner at around 7pm Batam time, but its already Singapore time 8pm,hehehe...and after some in-punctuality (between friends) and/or some discussion on where and whats for dinner,we probably end up heading off to dinner around 715pm plus Batam local time, and thats how we end up having dinner OFF the batam peak hours (usually land ourselves on a dinner table at about 730pm),hehehe... same theory applies for lunch too. Psychologically, most Singapore tourist forgot that at 730pm, Singapore is already 830pm,hehehe... :p

By 730pm,i doubt i still need to queue. :D

Just relating my experience.
