This is really stupid and that is if only that Singaporean man knows. Sometime by the time when its being made known,there will be no turning back. :(

You reminded me of the cleaner in my ex office building who pass away after returning to Sillypore (from Batam) critically sick and penniless. He pass on after about a month later upon his return.

His story as i was told,was for about 10 years years,he kept a mistress/wife in Batam. His mistress was a married woman (husband still around),so he cannot legally married this mistress traditionally but this mistress of his has an idea. She offered her then 18-19 years old daughter to married to him,and well,he feels lucky at that time. I mean he gets to bonk both mother and daughter blah blah blah...but to maintain both daughter and mother's expense,he eventually needs to sell his flat in Sillypore,buy another 2 houses under the name of the mother and her daughter (this was later told to me by his other colleagues). Mother and daughter eventually ditch him after leeching him off when he was physically not well (and retired),sells the 2 houses and moved to dont-know-where. Leaving this cleaner peniless and nearly withering off his last breath upon returning to Sillypore. Anyway,he passed on peacefully in Sillypore at the age of 60+ (cant remember his exact age).

This is a good book. I bought it 1 year ago when in Bali. It has helped me a lot, from zero knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia, to at least able to make the therapist understand what I want. I am still using this book, as and when will still refer to it, especially the grammars and pronunciations.:):)

I know one singaporean who lives here. He had cancer, and was waiting to die. So he shifted to Batam, found a wife, who had a kid. used the rental of his flat in Singapore to cover the daily expenses staying there. Still alive as I know. More than 15 years already. Taking a day at a time.

Another case is a man older than me, 60s already. Married a 50 plus year lady, adopted a kid. Works in singapore, go back during weekends. Pretty good life.

One more that I know is he married a local. had 2 kids, n he is doing fine. Last I know is he trying to get the kids to singapore for school.

Not all cases are bad lah. Depend on how u control the money. End of the day, all of us dies, and we wish to be where we are happy, before we go.

Usually most girls in Gold Bird will cost between 700k to 1.2 million rupiah.And usually,going to Gold Bird w/o a taxi will give you about 100k off if YOU ask for it but it doesnt always work as this part also must see which OKT you talk to,hehehe...

when i first cheong batam, it was still called Sedona Country, the lower tier girls there were only ard 300k for LT iirc :D but back then exchange rates only ard 6k rupiah or less for S$1.

still remember the time i went Goldbird after a few years hiatus from batam, kena suan sibeh gaolat by this chinese guy, when i asked for 300k cewek... haha... didn't check sbf beforehand then, cos the old thread was too long n there wasn't anybody like bro nono1973 to help organise info so neatly as the current thread.

now need 3 days ah? iirc last time 48 hrs can already. if i went in on Mon, and returned Wed night, i could buy from DFS at harbourfront. long time haven't bought from harbourfront liao :o

a few weeks back my brother tried to buy from DFS at changi airport after his penang weekend trip, kena rejected :o dunno was it because he came back from malaysia or was it because too few days, he didn't ask.

I still don't understand can we buy the wine at Batam center DFS before coming back sg .

I ask for the info indo girls because I found most girls that bros discussed here are Chinese descent, and I haven't any experience with indo girls before.

I don't have much special criteria for the girls: maybe not too old (under age of 40s) and with reasonable price (0.5 - 1.5 mil?)

Nowadays, if I can't express the word or remember the vocab, I quickly look up the dictionary at the end of the book or if I need to understand the culture behind it, I will read thru' the chapter again. A more easier way, will be google translate but of course this book shows you the structure.

I showed the room service guy 1 of the dead ones to show i arent lying and another one shown later to reception. Guess what they (reception) suggest? They wanted to give me a free upgrade to executive suite which is of a higher price (820k/night,junior was 670k/night from Kaha) but i tell them i will stay for a night to see how's the situation will be like 1st.

Sorry,i did not take any photo of the dead roaches as proof as i have flushes all of them down the toilet bowl.

Da veinna boutique hotel was a bit disappointing this time round which i will explain in my later summary. Exchange rate was 9700/SGD opposite formosa at around 1115am (14.04.2016).I may not be able to get this rate today,15.04.2016. Biz hotel's customer service was impressive other than the part they rejected me and my friend's request for an ash tray in a non-smoking room. They even rejected my friend's request for an extra pillow (Superior room at 400k,Deluxe 520k,Economy/Standard 370k). Note : they are not wrong in doing that.

Junior suite's jacuzzi is working fine except for a rusty broken handle. Me and my girl were soaking ourselves in it (we were both small built). It has 3 LCD TVs,one of them in the jacuzzi toilet and there's a total of 2 toilets but not impressive to me. Room card keys keep having problem,Elevator lift require card key for security reasons and no in room safe box.(it has a fridge and a cooler box) Black out at least 5 times from the moment i checked in till now but they recover it in less than a min.

Just a note to myself on the above for my later summary.

last time i stay at biz standard room it was very clean and tidy . It had a best sleep in batam, bed was comfortable with 2 small bee like bulbs.
but with security tapping individual is troublesome ;)

Monday the reception call my room when gal arrive and ask for permission to let in. I didn't go down to fetch her. Going down lift don't require key card.

Maybe i can explain since i am now facing what bro PigletDidi is saying.

Imagine,you are staying on the 11th floor,your friend stayed on 5th floor. You room card key can bring you only to 11th floor and to get to the 5th floor,your only option is...the stairs, if you need to get to the 5th floor. Vice versa for your friend on the 5th floor if he wish to go to your room on the 11th floor to tcss with you.

Your room key card only brings you to the floor (when in the lift elevator)you are staying in.

Also, it means that if I go to a joint and book a girl, she cannot come to my room directly later. I must go down to reception to welcome her :mad:

The receptionist will usually call me up to see if i have any "girlfriends" coming up,hehehe...just like what happen to me yesterday. I tell the receptionist to let "them" up. :D

By the way,today 11am rate was 9640/SGD. :(

Well, all these security features are meant to protect the clients privacy n ensure their safety. Initially I find it abit inconvenience.....but I like it eventually.
The best is also make sure the chick leave down her ic at the reception.
If she want to collect back, the recep will call your room for release.
They would think twice if want to try anything funny.

Please..... think twice to do anything funny? Losing thier ic is the last thing in thier mind if they wana do it. With the right link (person) it doesnt cost that much to do a new ic.

Their IC (KTP) cost 300k and 2 weeks to 6 months to receive from "Agent" . The earliest you pay , the latest you receive it.

Let me share additional information on this.

In Biz Hotel, you can walk up & down using the stairs but not for iHotel Baloi. The moment you leave the stairs, you will have to walk all the way down to the ground floor because all respective floor doors are one-way lock. That is can get out from the floor corridor but cannot come in. This is to prevent intruders from hiding in the stairs area to wait for the right timing to re-enter the respective floor. This model of security is similar to Singapore International Plaza building. I once attended a seminar at IP, 33rd floor. At break time, too many people crowded at one toilet and thought that by using the stair to the floor below, I don't have to wait for my turn. Never do I know, I have to walk all the way down to the ground floor. But I did not, I walk to 5th floor, enter the carpark, and use the carpark lift down to ground floor and took a lift up to 33rd floor again. I would agreed with you that it is good exercise and also a lesson learned.

As for bro wanting to stay in iHotel Baloi, you and your buddy will have to go down to the ground floor and together take a lift up to the respective floor again. Alternative is to call your buddy at the respective floor standby to open the stairs door for you each time you want to meet.

My trip has come to an almost end. Now the time to decide if i SHOULD or SHOULD NOT extend another night stay. Reason why i have the thought to extend another night? Girl-wise was the usual good,my meal part? Ok,before i talk about my meal,i need to let myself know that yesterday (15th April 2016),i upgraded myself to the Executive suite (820k rupiah) from the Junior suite (670k rupiah) for free due to the amount of cockroaches i "slaughtered" yesterday (and the day before).

I am now staying in the executive room and it has a kitchen...which i didnt quite use except for the meal i planned to have...hehehe...

Room is at least 30% bigger than the junior suite but for 820k,its definitely not worth its value.(price based from Kaha Travel) In Batam,for 820k..i have much better options when it comes to hotel room type. But for 670k,well...not too bad considered i am staying for the weekend. Didnt quite like the structure of how they do up their room tho.

Notice the gigantic mirror that basically covers the whole room like what L-hotel has on the bedside? Superstitiously,i was afraid it may "eat my soul" while i am bonking my girl,hehehe... *joking* Anyway,i have a much peaceful night sleep (its unlike me to write something in the thread when the sun just rise) comparing to my1st night's Junior suite...well,which means i didnt get much from my bonking last night due to the 1st night's over-exhaustion,hehehe... i encounter things that made my day,i also encounter things that spoil (almost) my day,which i will come to it in my later summary.

I was so afraid that i may forget part of it,hence i am now noting it down for my further reference.

PS : Biz hotel is still worth my stay in this trip even tho i am picking lots of fault from it as most sees right now becos i only mention here the fault and not its good.(I can still find another half a dozen no-good about it which is not mentioned before in this thread) Remember what i say before,if everything is no good or if there's no bad,it is likely not very real and this isnt my summary YET.I am only doing some "pressure-test" for the hotel to see how far the limits it can go since i am "dwelling" in it in this trip. And IF it is all bad,i wouldnt have even think of extending and yet be staying in the same hotel,hehehe...i would have move elsewhere. There are good things for Biz Hotel too,which i will come to it later.

Time to go for breakfast at the 11th floor.

Maybe the previous time there's some activity going on upstairs like wedding ceremony it's a popular venue. If not usually the breakfast is at the rooftop. I bet you will laugh when you see the "swimming pool" upstairs.

Question to ponder : IF taxi only get 100k comm, doesn't it make sense to get this unreliable driver to bring you around ALL the joints ? Think about it ... What for you save this 100k and start sweating and getting exhausted with all the walking around ? + time factor ... I guess you will be surprised on taxi comm...

Apparently, my ex-unreliable driver is on a residual commission scheme with the joints he works with. Meaning day 1 he brought me to Goldbird and I take girl A. In future, if I proceed to Goldbird and take girl A again, it does not matter if I take his cab there. He will still get the agreed commission.

How I come to hear about this is that I notice that he's been keep changes "on my behalf" behind my back. So, to cut out of the loop, I used another driver to go pick up my ex-regular. This is when she told me about this scheme.

Now, I don't know if this is true. But, this guy is a very sly business man. In just 5 years time, he's grown from a taxi driver to owning a car rental company with no less than 30 Toyota Avanza in his company register.

Why would OKT recorded who the driver is. Totally makes no sense. Most OKT would just put in the booking gal price (plus or minus if theres any supir or ojek involved)

Even OKT makes money if they recommend certain gals from thier joint (agreement between the gals n OKT). and im talking about in berry which is happening all the time.

I Agree with that - 1) I used to bring my friends with this driver to book for girls, there is one time we didn't use that driver but went to the same joint (and inform that we didn't have use a driver) but somehow that driver saw us, after my friends book the girls, the driver went it and ask for commission. I dont like to feel or be obliged to any commitment. And if i charge somebody for guiding,i will feel the need to obliged to some level of commitment which i think will spoil my fun in Batam.

It won't be easy 4 newbies to learn wen they r impatient.

Thats one reason why my rules were getting harsher over time. Newbie group trips is getting more time consuming for me as time goes by. I couldnt really do what i wish to do and it somehow restricted my freedom for at least half a day. So not charging them and putting me in some form of disadvantage does gives me some small rights to pick and chose who comes with me and who dont,hehehe...at the least i try to get those who shares the almost similar frequency with me to come along. He may have forgotten to tone down the volume of the TV (since most hotel rooms were supposingly sound-proofed) and who knows,may ALSO have forgotten to turn off the video when he steps out of his room,hehehe...i have test try to turn on volume of the TV to try to reach my next room (its my friend's room with all windows and doors closed),the volume need to hit at least 90% of the TV max volume,hehehe...and with 90% volume,its only an almost mere whispering sound in the other next door room. I also pick a smaller sized room to keep the sound compact in it too.

Reason for the test is to minimise disturbance to my neighbouring room whenever i decide to ram up my room's volume,hehehe...

Hiya,i dont recommend,bro becos one man's meat can easily be another man's poison in Batam. Try the 3 safe joints in Batam if you wish.Gold Bird,New Berry and Bunga. This 3 has the least problem but do note it doesnt means no problem at all. Just minimum. Bunga however is the most expensive booking joint in Batam. Happy 8 seems to be a good choice recently too but do not expect high on its services.

Train from where to where? My trip starts from Nagoya.
However, either in KL or in Batam, nights are for enjoying girls. I am not going to waste one of the precious nights during my stay in Malaysia/Batam sleeping in a train. I prefer to travel daytime :D

you can fly via Senai airport.
(airasia or firefly sould be cheaper than fly from batam or singapore)

For budget an travel any time in the day..

Dear all,
I thought to ask, because maybe there is some idea I did not think about.
I am well used to travel from KL to Batam: Aeroline KL to Singapore HF, Prima Ferries to HB, et voila I am in Nagoya.

For the first time, I will travel in the opposite direction from Nagoya to KL.
I think the best (cost and comfort) will be still to choose Prima Ferries to Singapore HF then Aeroline to Corus Hotel in KL. Or maybe someone would suggest something different?

I checked flights, but one-way ticket with Malindo from Batam BTH to Subang SZB (not KLIA!) would cost nearly 140 SGD (with 25kg luggage). I prefer the bus.
Any other airline?

U can try Firefly... I flew once from KL to Batam almost 2 years ago; can't remember how much it cost me though...

Update: Sorry, I stand corrected... Seems like Firefly don't fly to Batam anymore.

Actually, I think paying $140 is a fair trade-off given that u'll reach KL in 1 hour versus 5-6 hours or even longer with the ferry + train/bus route... Like u said, the time can be better spent enjoying rather than being stuck in a transportation medium....

After all the shopping ( 1 from NB and 2 from Happy)were done, we headed back to Ggi to checkin. It was around 330pm.
Upon arrival , receptionist told us only 1 room was available.
OMG.. 4 star hotel with super late checkin.
No choice, Laurel and Hardy put their belongings into my room while we chit chat and wait for the gals to come at 430pm.

Fast forward, 4pm. Still no news about the availability of 2 other rooms. This time, i have a strong feeling that it is gonna be a bad trip as things are not going too well.

Same here too,if the beginning isnt good,it can really spoil the rest of my day,perhaps even the entire trip too. Still if i know its going to turn out not-so-good,i will try to minimize damage. Go into defense mode,hehehe...

Now you know why i have chose Formosa Hotel/Da Vienna Hotel/Biz Hotel instead. It is becos i hope to have minimum hiccups in my trips.

Stormed down with L&H to the reception to ask for the rooms. Told the receptionist that we saw many rooms were cleaned and available becos on the the way down, passed by some rooms and saw the room attendants just sitting and playing with their handphones in the cleaned room.
No wonder no rooms are available as the front desk was not notifiied.

Poor management from the hotel side. Do you know Da Vienna Hotel manager actually replied to some of its customers on Trip Advisor,see...how well their customer service were while still practicing flexibility.

My gal N2 from NB was a petite, quiet and A cup gal.

The total bill for food and beverages for 7 pax including 3 gals and driver came out to be 820,000.
Overall 7/10.

Not bad,not bad...at least it is not as expensive as its being claimed to be. Sorry,i am comparing with those tourist-type restaurant like Wey Wey,Wey Wey2,Harbour Bay Seafood,Golden Prawn series of restaurant and even some sea food shops at Windsor food court.

After dinner, the time was around 9pm and we decided to go the Ggi Club which is a disco in the hotel.

Ordered 1 jug of Carlsberg which came to 325,000.
Its overpriced but I just wanted L&H to experience Batam nightlife without travelled too far.

Hmm..wonder if you notice any "take out girls" there? Hehehe... this is important becos in an "in case all else fail" situation,one may likely need them. I know Formosa hotel has them and it has plenty of them,hehehe...

Nothing special abt the club as it was too early and there were only 30 people including us. Music was Hip Hop.
Finished our beer in 1 hour and headed back to our respective rooms for OTOT.

Going in at 9pm and stepping out at 10pm plus? Thats a bit too early,too fast to be dwelling in a place. Sorry,i arent good in night spot places and am just curious.

I just stayed there recently. Not bad in terms of hotel quality but not for location. If go in a group hired full time driver might be a good choice hotel. But for the location, I cannot even buy a bottle water without using the ojek.

10k to 20k is the usual pricing for ojek (depending on distance and how you wish to travel) if i move around solo. And i dont understand bahasa too,yet i can still bargain. In fact,i rarely need to bargain for ojek as their 1st quote will mostly be 15k at most part of Nagoya area and 20k from Harbour Bay. :D

Do book your return trip before else where, especially if you plan to return on sunday( lagi more jia lat if long weekend).

Yes,i totally agree. Always book return ferry if one plans to return on a Sunday. In April trip to Batam,my Sunday return ferry was FULL! 99% full. It is always a good habit to book return ferry at least 1 day beforehand. In fact,most time i will do it even for my weekday trips too.

Many newcomers here i believe hasn't had a chance to smell the 100k hj & 200k fj b4.

It is always good to challenge oneself bro. Newbie usually quite difficult to get 100k hj and 200k fj if they dont read. Thats why i wrote quite a lot of stuffs regarding how to go about getting a good price for special service as well as for any other things,which is entirely possible. Ultimately,its a matter whether you DARE or not only. :D

One other thing i learned in Batam,if you dont bargain,i pay XXX price for a HJ,then girl tells me no roaming and if want to roam,you need to pay extra XX price...then when i roam top and want to roam bottom,they (the girls) will tell me bottom roaming will need to pay XXX amount. Ok,i agreed. Then if i happen to have other Fetish,she will again quote XXXX price. When i dont bargain and agreed with the massage girl's 1st quote of XXX price in the beginning,i will ultimately likely to end up paying XXXXXXXXXX price at the end of the session.

Anyway,this is just something i found out only last year.

Having said all these,if one stays too far away from MOST cheonging places till it leaves himself with practically not much choices,then he himself is to be blame. It is why i choose Formosa Hotel to base myself,center of Nagoya's more popular cheonging areas with everything practically under its roof or the least just within 1 to 3 mins walk away (imagine you walk for more than 5 mins,you get even much much more). And when i mean everything,i really do mean...literally Every Thing,hehehe...i do have the habit to avoid using too strong words unnecessarily. :p

As soon as I arrive to Harbour Bay, my SOP is to walk straight to the Prima Ferries offices to present my return ticket and CHECK-IN for the return one week later.

That way, I can stay 15 mins more in my room at Formosa on my last day (the last 15 minutes can be important) and leave, say, at 18:30 with the boarding pass in hand to catch the ferry of 19:15.

I made the mistake to not book my return on my FIRST visit to Batam 6 years ago. I did not think on Sunday all ferries are full. I seriously risked to miss my flight back to Europe from Changi at midnight :eek:
I begged the staff girls at the desk to find a place for me, promising my eternal gratitude. When someone cancelled, one of those girls was ready to catch the seat for me on the system. I was jumping over the desk to hug her, but I stopped. I went to the cafe and I sent a waiter to the desk taking orders from all girls. At the end, I paid 11 fresh juices. Cheap in Indonesia ;)

Yes, the price is still the same According to your price list but during my first time there, the counter show me 2 kinds of separate list - "daytime massage list" and "afternoon massage list" - same menu but different price (if u go during the morning it's cheaper). My 2nd time when I go, the counter show me the "daytime list"... I ask them abt the morning list,then they take it out to show me..... Grr trying to earn extra eh

Batam Entertainment areas are not too far away from each other lah. Still if you travel from one area to another ( other than Nagoya/Jodoh), it can be abit of distance.

It can be quite an entertainment to walk about, take a look n relax at the "lifestyle of singapore" in the 70s/early 80s....

Friend, I never heard of many joints offering massage n sex for woman n man together in Batam. Services for gays, there is. Maroon Massage.

Not any massage parlour that I know of service woman. Alternatively, you can get someone to your rooms for massage and discuss with them, the massage ladies. Both of u can have it in your own rooms.

Most massage Palours does provide room services, call ups. Extra charges applies

If one dont bargain in Happy 8 or Bunga,he's prepared to prepare pay higher. In my April trip on one of the weekend,i see almost 10 Bangladeshi/Indian men queuing inside Happy 8 (around 10am) for the joint's girls to come down so they can choose,hehehe...some Happy 8 girls like their 3 to 5 men share one girl deal. (good money for them)

when i first cheong batam, it was still called Sedona Country, the lower tier girls there were only ard 300k for LT iirc :D but back then exchange rates only ard 6k rupiah or less for S$1.

Batam Entertainment areas are not too far away from each other lah. Still if you travel from one area to another ( other than Nagoya/Jodoh), it can be abit of distance.

It can be quite an entertainment to walk about, take a look n relax at the "lifestyle of singapore" in the 70s/early 80s....

Well, all these security features are meant to protect the clients privacy n ensure their safety. Initially I find it abit inconvenience.....but I like it eventually.

Good for someone who is being stalked too. In general,Hotels like Biz,Formosa and Da Vienna were safe enough. Enough as in they have enough juice to keep some of my girls and people i didnt like at bay,hehehe...:D

I prefer Formosa tho,which gives me Nick Fury or Dr X abilities to "see" literally nearly everyone within the public premises (in one of my much earlier summary,my booking girl walked out of my room when i am not in the hotel room? I queried her),hehehe...i hope to one day get that ability in Da Vienna and Biz. (nope,i wont be elaborating this part)

In Biz Hotel, you can walk up & down using the stairs but not for iHotel Baloi. The moment you leave the stairs, you will have to walk all the way down to the ground floor because all respective floor doors are one-way lock. That is can get out from the floor corridor but cannot come in. This is to prevent intruders from hiding in the stairs area to wait for the right timing to re-enter the respective floor.

iHotel 4 stars,hence it is not in my to-stay-list but their security is definitely 4 stars with some good thinking. 4 star hotel mean,everything in it,more expensive. Room however isnt an issue tho. Being convenient for me to move around is important.

As for bro wanting to stay in iHotel Baloi, you and your buddy will have to go down to the ground floor and together take a lift up to the respective floor again. Alternative is to call your buddy at the respective floor standby to open the stairs door for you each time you want to meet.

Hmm...not a very convenient way. Its good to note down which hotel uses such security features so whenever there is a group trip,i can try to make sure everyone stays on the same floor or at worse scenario,just a floor away,hehehe...

Nope,breakfast for all kind of rooms were on the 11th floor. And it was raining (drizzling),so most of us had our breakfast mixed with a bit of rain water that 1st morning. Not a good sign,hehehe...becos tables and chairs were wet. But there are sofa seats,hehehe...

Last trip I ate BF at Ground Floor.....

In my last trip,when i ask the maintenance guy to come to my room to fix the cockroach issue in my junior suite,he told me the ground floor restaurant was having some Pest maintenance or something,hence the insects starts moving its way upward. Well,junior suite was on the 9th floor,hehehe...these insects really move fast huh? :D

I bet you will laugh when you see the "swimming pool" upstairs.

Yesterday, went to recce Tiban Centre with my unreliable driver and along the way also checked out Taman Kota Mas/Baloi. No massage shop in these area. Next trip may want to explore Greenland, Panbil Mall area and Jl Ahmad Dahlan near to Mustafa Plaza. According to my unreliable driver, he said there are "toko pijat" with "pijat plus" in Panbil area and somewhere further up Panbil has a good seafood restaurant. Well...let's see (yet to discover)....

No worries , it's just me feeling nervous going on solo trip hence I got a full day driver incase shit happens I can still get help from him at anytime. He's not just a driver for me , he's also my translator/tour guide and a great friend so I feel like supporting him a little in his part time business.

Getting around by taxi is definitely a lot cheaper , that's why I jio to carpool if anyone is interested :p to reduce the damage and also not waste the empty seats LOL , also he can bring bros to jalan jalan while I nua in the hotel.

I will go by taxis on future subsequent trips after I get more familiarized with Batam and also their language.

I always visit Rachada KTV when i'm there. not so crowded. the chinese apek tauke also like scared u go away other place to TCSS so he extra friendly everytime i go there. girls also very SYT model type (ktv material). the rooms have bed inside and toilet too. will go againin 2 weeks or so and will do a proper review of this place... anyone went Rachada KTV before anyways?

I wish to thank all who provided their valuable comments and advice.

At the end, I will stick to my original plan: Horizon Ferry HB to HF and Aeroline bus HF to KL Corus. This means to have a couple of more stamps on passport for transit in Singapore, but at the end this seems to me still the most convenient way to move from Formosa to my hotel in KL (not far from Corus).

By flight, pure travel Batam-KL is faster, but door-to-door is not so faster. Lot of hassle and moving before and after the flight.

5. She says 200k HJ and/or 400k FJ,this shop dont have such price etc.

6. I smile at her shaking my head, "its ok,i already have a 1.2 or 1.5 juta booking girl in my hotel room,i dont need hj or fj here". Say Thank you and stop there. (here is where i wait patiently and looking at her smiling,hehehe...)

Make a guess on the final price thereafter? It can either be she comply to my 100k hj/200k fj or maybe i need to top up a little more like 150k HJ/250k FJ? Or i can insist on my 100k hj and 200k FJ but tells her if she wants 150k HJ/250k FJ,she will have to do "this",do "that",blah blah blah...hehehe....vice versa anyway. Either ways it turns out,i dont lose.

Bargaining conversation time,all in less than 3 mins and with all smile since i dont understand bahasa,hehehe...

And in an unlikely event if it didnt work out like i say above,i just go for another girl in the same shop or simply just walk to the next nearby shop. I mean since massage per hour in Batam isnt really that expensive,right?

Believe me,bro...my success rate is 95% and the times i failed was when i am in Kings Massage at Formosa hotel and ONLY there (Kings) has so far given me some of the hardest bargaining time. Reason for failure,there is no lack of quantity of customers there,worse...no lack of quantity of customers who are willing to pay more than 250k for HJ and 400k to 500k for FJ. Having said that,i have as much fail in Kings as i have on my success rate there. And i believe i have practically see every massage girls in person (both the morning and night shift girls). Its a massage place where i turned down the most number of special services,hehehe...and a place where i gained the most experience to get a good deal.

Batam in short, is a budget, cheapo, chop SG's carrot low class tourist trap, to be honest. the FL's can never be compared to some really good high end China FL >$100 in GL in terms of looks, quality and standard.

In present market, I dont think you can find any good quality China FL in GL at $100 range.
I might be wrong though since I had given up cheonging GL.
Comparatively, Batam booking gals (chicken farm gals) with tags 1m and above shouldnt fare too badly. You have to take into account that is overnight rate. No matter how bad, the booking gal will still give one shot before she starts her antics.
I dun mind paying 1.5m if.....the batam booking chick gum my taste and dun chut pattern during the night.
Pay $150 in GL....at most ST only. One shot affair.

My 27th Batam Trip
(14th April 2016 to 17th April 2016)

This trip was like a test trip. Meaning to say,i put a lot of things to test. I put 2 hotels into test,i put a booking girl into test,i tested the one man's meat another man's poison theory,i test my own theory of a good hotel with everything build under one roof as well as sourcing for prices from Kaha. Nothing really special in this trip except i will rate it,better than my last and at a 8.5/10 rating. I hope to record this 27th Batam trip down in summary for my future reference.

This trip is a little abnormal as compare to my last few trips. I did a small test on how i would advise other bros here to book from Kaha Travel. As in i tested out how do i would book thru Kaha for other hotels (https://www.sammyboyforum.com/showpost.php?p=13870594&postcount=33528),hehehe...and i will be touching a lot on Hotels this summary since i am staying in 2 of them this trip.

My initial 1st choice was Da Vienna Boutique Hotel...

According to my own advise on how i would book hotel rooms from Kaha travel (https://www.sammyboyforum.com/showpost.php?p=13870594&postcount=33528),i emailed Da Vienna Boutique Hotel,asking for a Deluxe room and a Junior suite,their reply to me was they have both rooms available,i ask them to reserve it,they say fine. So i thought all was well untill less than a day before my actual trip, i received an email from them telling me "sorry sir,your room has been taken,may i reserve for you the 2 other room-kind" etc etc....the moment i receive the mail,i almost lose my cool as it was less than a day before my trip and i replied them i wasnt very happy with their arrangement. i told them straight off to cancel all available hotel booking i have with them (I have other rooms on other days which i am helping my other friends to book too). Anyway,i think that guy (maybe its a girl) got a bit desperate and keep mailing me back to apologize blah blah blah...i never replied. Thumbs down for Tia Prihandani,the reservation officer for Da Vienna Boutique Hotel.

And using the exact method i use to reserve Da Vienna Boutique Hotel,i reserved rooms from Biz Hotel. And they were very much more professional. Special thanks to Jenny. They kept their words,reserved my room and ta da!On that day i arrived,i just head to Kaha to pay for the room voucher and then to Biz Hotel. Check in was as early as 1130am,hehehe...oh,and Biz Hotel got the deal of my other friend's room too.

I believe in terms of hotel room reservation skills,Biz is more experience,more down to earth and given the fact that both hotels were fully booked on the date i traveled to Batam. Biz has won over Da Vienna in this aspect. There are more...read on...

As my saying goes,there is no such as an all good and no bad in anything and in this case,it includes hotels. I like to check my room and in a testing trip like this one,i like to put the room i will be staying in to test. Like always,i turn on all lights,run the air con,tap and flush the toilet bowl...there's 2 toilets (living room and master bedroom),hehehe...and the one in the master bedroom was the one infest with a dozen tiny-beetle-size cockroaches (pretty obvious when the toilet bowl area is in white color). Honestly,i am actually fine with it as these cockroaches were within the boundary inside the toilet bowl. Still,i call the house keeping up to query. By the time they were there,no more insects. Lucky there were some dead remains as proof.

According to the maintenance guy,the 1st floor restaurant were having some cleaning up,so its likely the roaches moved upward. Ok...i am listening and lets not forget my room is on the 9th floor,restaurant on the 1st floor,hehehe...anyway,cut the story short. After voicing to him my dissatisfaction,my friend and i heads over for our regular "cewek-shopping" before heading for groceries shopping where i bought a bottle of Baygon insecticide :

Its a Junior suite from Biz. 1st step in,i kill more half a dozen baby cockroaches. Bought one of this...

I showed the room service guy 1 of the dead ones to show i arent lying and another one shown later to reception. Guess what they (reception) suggest? They wanted to give me a free upgrade to executive suite which is of a higher price (820k/night,junior was 670k/night from Kaha) but i tell them i will stay for a night to see how's the situation will be like 1st.

Sorry,i did not take any photo of the dead roaches as proof as i have flushes all of them down the toilet bowl.

When i reached my room,i used the insecticide on the whole room and ta da! Few of those tiny-beetle-size cockroaches's bigger brother starts coming up and i manage to kill of it...and this time round i showed them to the receptionist who later offered to switch my room to an executive suite (for free) which i politely turned down citing that i would like to stay in this cockroach infested room for a night and will only do the change tomorrow if necessary.

Look at how Biz Hotel handle the case. It was a test. There wasnt exactly a cockroach infestation. I have stayed in a handful of hotels in Batam that has roaches,even Formosa Hotel,Goodway,Gideon,Harmoni has them if i were to look hard enough. 1 or 2 is really inevitable and in the case of Biz Hotel,i looked hard.

Oh,and that free upgrade to executive suite in Biz Hotel wasnt exactly free. It comes with a small price of a can of Baygon,hehehehe....

We have brunch at Meximo Pub wan tan mee,before heading cewek-shopping,and then to groceries-shopping at Top-100. We changed our money opposite Formosa Hotel money changer becos they offered the best rate of 9700/SGD i know of before heading to Kaha to buy hotel voucher,checked in to hotel and brunch.

My friend took a 1.35 million rupiah girl from New Berry bargained from 1.5 million rupiah. i took a 1 million girl from Gold Bird. Sorry that i didnt take photos of the breakfast spread. All i can say its almost similar like those i see in Formosa Hotel,beat Gideon one,almost equivalent to Goodway hotel but lose out to Da Vienna Hotel.

We didnt really eat our fills in Biz becos we all know we are heading for round 2 at Momo,hehehe...and after round 2,we need to go shopping. But not before i head to buy HDMi cable to test out their 40' LCD TV,hehehe...

Shopping time,my friend got a girl from Happy 8 at 1.2 million rupiah (bargained from 1.35 million),myself got a girl whom has returned from her hometown at 700k. Price was about 20% higher,so i visited C shop and followed by D, E and F shop. What pissed me off was when i bargained with D shop bargained with them,got a good price tho still higher than A shop. I returned to buy after F shop and when i reach there,they told me they didnt even have the stock to begin with. Honestly,why waste my time to be even talking and bargaining when they during the initial start do not even have the stock i need at all??

And becos i raised the volume of my voice (not shouting tho),i believe i must have left them a not-so-good impression. Yes,i wasnt shouting in their presence,but i must admit i was cursing and swearing when i am back to the vehicle where these action of mine was witness by the 2 girls and the driver in it. My action also spoil my later pharmacy visit mood when i become no longer a nice guy. Its the 2nd time,so i am keeping a record of it in this summary to serve as a reminder for myself. There is always a price to pay for mistakes and i pay it with a higher priced merchandise (too prideful to return to the shop that sells at a lower price as i am still in hulk-mode),a higher blood pressure (affecting my negotiation with other pharmacies when i talk to them,remember i dont speak bahasa)and scaring the girls (leaving behind a bad impression). See,nothing really good comes out from anger and losing my cool.

Anyway,a friend who wish to link up sms-ed, suggesting dinner. I learned that he was at MB Massage and we arranged for our dinner meet up at hotel lobby of Biz. I send the 2 girls who were with me to the hotel 1st before heading to my Pharmacy hunt again (i felt bad actually).Hehehe...i must have visited most Batam's major pharmacy. One thing i learned from all the pharmacy visit is,those Chain-Store-Type of Pharmacy sells their products MORE EXPENSIVE. Those w/o a chain store connection pharmacies sell things cheaper and can even bargain down,hehehe....i learned something.

I had a tired time trying to help my part time boss buy this stuffs at the right price. Head back to Hotel,rest a little w/o getting my 1st round and it was about dinner time. My link-up-friend turn up a little early and i just have to show him my room.

Note : It was already my 2nd night in Batam,so i have already switch from the 670k rupiah Junior suite to the 820k executive suite during the morning after my 1st night girl is gone.

Its not like everyday i stayed in a pretty cool room,hehehe...so i MUST show it to my link-up-friend.

...and to my surprise, the corridor from the lift elevator to my room isnt air-conditioned.

There is no safe box in the junior suite,however both room has a cooler which i do not have much usage on.Believe me,i have been searching high and low for the safe (even when i dont use it at all). Junior suite has a smaller fridge tho and w/o the kitchen. Master bedroom toilet for executive suite is much bigger.

Comparing the Junior suite and Executive suite,i actually like the Junior suite better even when its smaller in size. (smaller room,stronger air-con) Staying in this 2 bed rooms is like staying in the BTO flat of Sillypore today versus staying in a HDB flat my grandpa stays in 30 years ago. My grandpa's flat more spacious.

Junior suite = BTO Flat

Executive suite = my grandpa's flat 30 years ago

Both suites has a Jacuzzi Bath tub as well as a LCD TV inside toilet,hehehe...1 room 1 hall kind with one Mitsubishi aircon in each cubicle area. That should be enough information for Biz Hotel Junior Suite and Executive Suite.

That cost me 450k,more than double of what i get in Formosa Hotel. Honestly,they should not be charging me 450k but instead should be 400k. I ask for Javasutra massage (250k) for my girl,but she was given Indonesia Traditional massage (200k) and i had foot reflexology (200k). Anyway,the massage girls did a good job so i have no complain for the overcharge,i just take it as a small tip for their hardwork. (my heart aches for the 50k loss,hehehe...) But this dishonesty behavior of theirs has stop me for future patronizing them. I will bring in my "own massage shop" girls if i stay in Biz Hotel the next time round. Yes,i will still be staying in Biz again.

After my girl left at 930am plus,i start packing and make arrangement to head to Kaha to get my desire room....a Junior Suite. The same room i have missed before i step into this trip.

The whole process was,after breakfast at Meximo Wan Tan Mee,head to Kaha,grab a room for Da Vienna Boutique Hotel Junior Suite,head back to Biz to pack up and check out and then move in to check in at Da Vienna...

We arrived to Da Vienna around 115pm,and believe it or not...room isnt ready. And we have to wait for say...until close to 2pm. Didnt quite like the wait as over a period of the nearly 45 min wait,more and more people are turning up at the reception to ask for their room.

There was 2 reception counter actually,one for check in and another for check out. The staffs were all very busy coordinating for rooms and guests to be check in/out. They do look like they were short on staffs. 45 mins is a long wait,hehehe...anyway,i didnt hurry them in anyway but i really want to see how well they fare so i quietly play with the fishes that were in front of the reception (no,i didnt kill any of it and they were all alive,hehehe...) ....

I remember saying in this thread before i would give Blue Bayou at Biz hotel a miss,but yet i still went for a try since i already stayed there (for novelty sake). But no...not this time in this Vienna Spa thingy. If i want this sort of spa-like massage,i would have given Spa Secret a chance instead since this Vienna Spa can be more expensive than Spa Secret (just a gut feel). I think Vienna Spa is the most expensive spa i know of in Batam.

I have taken up the package from Nagoya Spa and Massage near Formosa before and it cost me 888k with a 5 hours "whole body makeover",hehehe...so when i saw the pricing in Vienna Spa...i decide,no...not Vienna spa.I believe there is no lack on customer there since this place were 90% filled by Chinese Sillyporean.

Two sides of the coin,either Sillyporean are REALLY proven Silly or they (Vienna Spa) ultimately drop their price. Not being black heart tho,but i do hope they shut down and move King Massage (from Formosa Hotel) over,hehehe...Da Vienna just lost one point to Biz Hotel on this one.

Almost 2pm,time for me to be checked in. Got myself a smoking room and off i head to check out their Junior Suite. Upon entering,my nose were welcome by a heavy stench of cigarette smell,hehehe...not that i mind,since i am a smoker but i need to hold a fair comparison with Formosa and other hotel's smoking room.

I check almost everything in my room. The receptionist told me i will have a short of 2 bottles of mineral water which they will bring it to me at a later time if i want my room now. I am fine with that. My junior suite didnt have a fridge but a cooler. I guess they were trying to save on electricity? No bar counter with drinks and beers etc,thats pretty good for me becos i dont take the stuffs from the mini bar (i create my own,hehehe..). Like Biz and Formosa,they do have a hairdryer and kettle tho.

The Junior Suite in Da Vienna Boutique isnt a 1 room 1 hall kind,more like a half room,half hall. The Hall and bed was divided by half a wall. Yes they have 2 LCD TVs. But with 2 TV's volume on,it can cause quite a noise pollution. Biz has 3 TVs,1 in the toilet,1 at the hall and the other in the bed room. But the walls were fully covered so that when i turn the volume of the room up,i dont hear the sound from the hall. 2 sounds from 2 TVs dont beat against one another.

I can watch 2 TV at once,hehehe...

The junior suite in Da Vienna is however more spacious as compare to the one in Biz Hotel. Oh and the safe in Da Vienna is a broken down one which even when i dont need it,i still ask the housekeeping boys to fix it. Housekeeping staffs? I need to call them myself by being physically there. Calls to Housekeeping,operator,Reception and other line that were use to help a guest were non responsive. Meaning to say,i called once...no one picks up,i called twice,still nobody picks up. Give them another chance by calling about 15 mins later,STILL no one picks up the phone,hehehe...its the 1st hotel i stayed in where no one picks up their phone in Batam.

I have to walk down to talk them up. (i wasnt angry or bad mooded becos i just want to test their respond) Honestly,i have to be fair as its a Sat, thats why i say i am relatively quite fair here when i compared with Biz when i stayed there on a Friday.

After doing all the hotel room checks. I left to do the cewek-shopping. Permata is like a Bunga Merah (Red Flower) day,all girls in it worn red today. I go to another joint to pick up a new MILF who just starts work at a million rupiah. Seriously,i think i must be nuts to pay a million rupiah for someone over 30 that day...reason is simple,i have exhausted myself at least around 10 rounds over the last 2 nights. I need to be "served",hehehe...and this milf as i was told was known to provide "outstanding" service. Anyway,it was stupid of me to pay a million rupiah for her regardless of how superb the service would be.

They provide the Dove suits,hehehe....the thing is,the bath tub. As what some hotel booking website claims,their bath room has a Jacuzzi...not true. When i 1st stay there,it was a deluxe room. But i was mislead into thinking that Junior suite has a Jacuzzi bath tub. I have tested in this trip that they (Da Vienna Boutique Hotel junior suite) do not have an in room Jacuzzi like those that of Biz hotel.

...and it is definite way way more crowded than what is seen on the photo above.

There was a big variety of food but with big varieties,it also mean more people. I was served to my table since i am eating alone and coffee was brought to my table. Maybe its only for junior suite guest or guest who ate alone. Took some of favorite food and ate my fill. Didnt stayed very long there as i wish to walk around the place....

There's even a mini provision shop with no one attending to...

The provision shop was just outside the restaurant where i had my breakfast. And beside this shop there,a toilet that looks like those swimming pool toilet one see in Sillypore and a prayer room was there too.

One thing worth a note in my summary is the Da Vienna Boutique Hotel's magic lamp. Take a look at the tip of the nipple at the top of this magic bed lamp...

Do you see the lighting gets brighter on each photo above? There was no switch at all on this bed lamp. It is being "turn on" by softly touching the tip of its NIPPLE,hehehe...and each time i touch the NIPPLE,it goes brighter,hehehe....my girl was amazed by it....hehehe...its a good ice breaker with the girl in my room.

This 3rd night's girl was the most fun to be with. Now i have a small problem,that is dinner. The girl and i had a walk to formosa and back,brought some groceries and at the same time learned that there is new Chinese Zhi Char store nearby Grand Nagoya 68 hotel which is close to ex. New Berlian. I observed the food people ordered when i passed by,looks good. Maybe will try it in my next trip.

After our walk,we head back to room and decide to order room service from the hotel. Price point wise was similar to Formosa and Biz,but better than Goodway and Gideon. Quality is not bad. Soon after,showered and have our OTOT and before long,its morning and its time for my girl to leave.

I head down for breakfast.

I do remember that i often dress like a beggar most time when in Batam,hehehe... In Kaha,the presidential suite would cost 5289k,but walk in rate was 9000k. Yes,maybe i REALLY cannot afford to stay in such a suite...hmm...i remember asking the hotel staffs twice (one of the time was witness by a friend when at the reception before i checked in,so i arent lying here when i say i tried) and twice i was ignored,hehehe....its ok,i will help them remember in future.

Meantime,I shall look for more information on my later trips to Batam regarding the Presidential suite at Da Vienna Boutique.

After all the reccing,i head back to room to take a short nap before waking up to take a shower and i think its about time i pack up and go (back) to HELL,hehehe...i packed up,checked out pretty late at 1pm,no hotel staffs actually bother me to "force" me to check out,thumbs up on this part. I will push my limits further in future (on non-weekend as i also need to be considerate to those who needs to check in).

I head to massage at idola which is oppsoite Dju Dju Hotel before heading to for lunch at BUdi Siang Malam chicken rice store.

I had a good time at this place with a 100k dick massage 1st then a hj.(1st quote 300k) The girl keeps teasing me halfway thru the hj by stopping at doing it halfway. Tells me 100k = 0.5 time hj,hehehehe...it was a lot of fun.Imagine this,hj halfway,she tell me,"finished". I look at her eyes wide open and say "No! No!~"...lol...and she continues and then will stop halfway again...(repeated that a few times) it was full roaming for me but becos the place where i get the massage is curtained,so no full strip. I gave her an extra 50k at the end of the session becos of her good cheery service and at the same time, i wanted her to remember me as i planned to RTM for "something extra",hehehe....

There is wifi in this place,so communication was a breeze via google translate. After the massage,head out for late lunch and then head for the Ferry Terminal...and there,the witnessing of the weekend Sunday returning crowd where the ferry should technically be 100% full...

Ferry delay heading off to Sillypore by at least 10 mins from Harbour Bay due to the massive crowd and well,due to the speed the ferry moves,it still reach Sillypore on time. No,i didnt take the business class becos i just wish to get a feel how its like,hehehe...and then report them on my summary to serve as a reminder. (i dont want to leave Batam so soon,hehehe...)

On reaching Sillypore's Harbour Front,the Business class passenger was release at almost the same timing as those from the Economy class,so imagine the mess it turns out. For the 1st time,i feel business class and economy one makes no difference (on weekends,Sunday).

Home sweet home....oh,its was HELL of hot for the Sillypore weather. And my trip has come to an end. After this summary,its time to forget the good time,and remember the bad time. Why? Becos deep inside me,i hope my next trip will be better than this one but i know...this trip has given me a higher expectation. My rating for this trip? 8.5/10 and it would be a 9/10 if i havent lose my cool during the Pharmacy-hop.

My thoughts for this 27th Batam trip :

1. I start off this trip being a bit piss while trying to get a room i desire with Da Vienna (a day before),but i manage to pull myself together and move on.

2. Its rather unusual for me to go for girls my friends (or taken by other bros) took but this trip,i wish to test some points. One man's meat,another man's poison. How one project himself with their chosen girls can also reflects the service level of the chosen girl/s. A girl that suits me,may not suit others,and vice-versa. Be humble,be patience and be nice helps a great deal.

3. I remember 2 names in this trip,Alfredo and Eka. One is a guy and another is a girl. Not going to elaborate.

4. Hotels that i say i will return to stay,Biz and Da Vienna. Both were good hotels. Each has its strength and weakness but so far from my own perspective where my "needs" were concern,none of them beats Formosa Hotel...yet. I believe Biz hotel is a potential hotel that can be turn into a place like Formosa hotel as much as Da Vienna could.

5. My review for both hotels :

The bad (what i DO NOT like):

Da Vienna - Too many non-smoking area like the lift lobby outside my room. Makes it difficult to hold a cigarette and walk out from my room. And they have an asktray at the lift lobby outside my room (which is by the way a smoking room) that says "No Smoking". Cant find a place to stub out my already burning cigarette on my hands except on the "No Smoking" sign itself (which is supposingly an ashtray). A little overly-Sillyporean oriented.They do have more humanly customer service (than Gideon,Goodway,Nagoya Hill Hotel,M1 etc who are more robotic),but still,i will say they are under staffed at the front line. Water from tap emits some smell and they have one of the most expensive massage/spa which a stingy man like darent try.

Biz Hotel - They are however MORE humanly customer service oriented than Da Vienna hotel. 2nd best,which is next to Formosa Hotel which i ranked number 1 (a benchmark). Well,junior suite has cockroach,this is not acceptable but they handled the situation very well with a free upgrade to Executive suite (i turn them down on the 1st night and only take up the offer on the 2nd). Rooms were smaller in size and it has blackout a little too many times (at least 10 within 24 hours).However recovery from blackout was less than 3 mins all the time. If i do not have battery attached to my laptop,i may have an issue. And by the way,corridor on each floors of rooms were not air-conditioned and in-hotel massage not cheap either (i tried).

The Good (what i like) :

Da Vienna -

Tho it was a mad rush,customer service has retain its quality. Da Vienna was about 8 mins walk to Formosa,hence making it a fairly good location. Out from Da Vienna hotel (out of its front door towards the security check point),turn right and i see a bigger than normal Alfa Mart. Opposite Da Vienna is a Pharmacy that sells relatively expensive stuffs tho. Food was abundant during my walk towards Formosa Hotel. Crown massage just about 3 mins walk away.

Biz Hotel -

Front desk staffs and housekeeping has the personal touch service similar to those of Formosa Hotel tho they still couldnt match. Location is near to Newton Disco/Pub/KTV,even nearer to Nagoya Citywalk which technically is just beside the hotel. Personal perspective,this 2 hotels still cant beat Formosa Hotel in terms of personal touch service,in-hotel massage,flexibility and being in a convenient location yet. I will looking to change "the environment" to suit me.

6. After this trip,i need to continue to source for new things and then dwell in it for a while. There are so much i didnt know in Nagoya area. I feel like a frog in the well. I dont wish to stay in a hotel or place or try a girl in a joint only once and then comment it negatively. 1 night in a hotel,1 try in a place and 1 girl from a joint does not mean the hotel,the place and the joint is not good.

7. My anger,i need to keep it under control. My pride too. Becos of my silly pride and anger,i lost a little more than half a million rupiah in a deal with the pharmacy. Pure stupidity at its best. And i scared my girls. I admit my mistake/s and this will haunt me forever as i have written them down on this summary. 8. Striking a good deal at the massage shop. 150k/1.5 hour plus 150k for special service with full roaming with everything off by a good looking semi SYT. On top of it,i get a free hairwash + a face wash which kind of surprise me....anymore such deal? I will be looking forward search for more. Think about it,if i share the location,will the deal be still as sweet later on? Sorry...

9. I am looking at Utama Hotel and i will be looking at it. It was my back up in this trip if i couldnt get a room in Da Vienna after my 1st 2 night stay at Biz Hotel.

10. I dont pay 1 million rupiah for an over 30 years old MILF for nothing. I will be looking at my "test result" in my upcoming next 2 trips to Batam. The bro who joined me in this trip will understand.

11. Da Vienna Boutique Hotel's Presidential suite,hehehehe....

12. The shaving kit in Formosa beats Biz and Da Vienna. And there's a sewing kit in Biz,the other hotels dont.

13. Fire Extinguisher in the Executive suite's kitchen of Biz Hotel has been expired for more than a year.

There is a main shop near bcs next to A2 (or is it in A2). Can order Kampong Chicken with a slight additional cost. My personal favourite is at Mitra Raya called Ciang Hau, as mentioned in the forum previously.

For your info,the dates you are heading to Batam looks fine to me. X is a holiday itself,and at most time,during the holiday itself,most hotel's prices remain as weekday. It is only during public holiday eve where the price will goes up.

X May 2016 is like a weekday bro. Its going to be like a normal weekday except you may likely see more in bound tourists in Batam.

I think I have not been to batam for around 6mths.. Anything changed since then..? I will read up on the forum but maybe I will miss out some things.. Hehe..

Nothing much really change but you may encounter a slight increase on overnight booking girl pricing in certain booking joints. Oh wait,1 small changes to note tho,more new girls as compared to 6 months ago when you were there. Remember,most girls will be on 3 to 6 months contract,most of what you have seen in last trip may not be where you found them before. (they could have hopped to another joint or quit)

In my last trip,i hear from OKTs that they reject girl's contract ending on June. So most new girls that came on March 2016 have had their contract till July 2016 becos of quiet month on June (Ramadan month) where most richer girls not under contract are returning back to their hometown. In the same building as Top 100 continue to walk straight to the end of building and turn left,then walk straight again for about 50 steps,you should see Nagoya Massage and Spa)

3. Relax Massage

(directly opposite Formosa Hotel)

1. King massage (directly 4th floor of Formosa Hotel)

Over the last 2 years,i have drawn enough of my own Batam map plan for most cheonging places over the possible hotels to stay in,Panaroma (aka Allium),Pacific Palace,Lai Lai,Hai Hai 2,Planet Holiday,Harmoni Hotel,Utama Hotel, M1 Hotel,Hana Hotel etc which all has some well-located "options",but the one that could do a one size fits all for myself with everything i need within just "few-mins-walk-options" is none other than Formosa Hotel.

Come to think of it,i think i may have knew Formosa a little too well.This reminds me when one of the girl who covered my eyes with her 2 hands while i was piggybacking her was surprise that i was able to reach my room with my eyes shut,hehehe...:D

Having said all the above,i am still open to better hotel/s in Batam that has all the convenience mentioned that would fit my criteria...well,thats if they exist. It NEED NOT have my "special room" which only Formosa has .Today,i am 100% sure that ONLY 5 such "special rooms" exist in Batam and ONLY in Formosa. Its been 2 years of searching...and i have learned to move on and accept that fact.

BCS in Penuin area, most massage place are clean. I did went to one that offers B2B massage, and full service. But, as it's one if the bro here that brought me there, I'll leave it to him to reply you.

Most hotels in btm has 1/2 day rate.

Half day and hourly rate isnt exactly value for money from my perspective.

Stayin in formosa or hotel near formosa give u quick access to almost evrythg within mins,even 4 late hrs enjoyment

As a Kryptonian,the sun's ultra-violet is in favor of you in this Batam season,so you may wish to take an around 30 mins walk from iHotel Baloi to Utama Hotel area to look for girls,map shown as below for direction to reach there :

Hehehe....when i look at hotels in Batam,i look at Hotel amenities,its location to places i wish to go to,its surrounding area for convenience and as well as if the hotel staffs could double as "magicians". Been dwelling in a couple of targeted Batam hotel's surrounding since 2014. And for emergency need of mineral water in most hotels in Batam,they are always a phone call away.Call housekeeping for free mineral water,tip them a bit like 5k to 10k depending how many bottles they bring you (i tip 10k for 4 bottles tho,hehehe..just a guideline. Tip more to leave an impression). However,tipping isnt compulsory but i tip them becos i enjoy having the housekeeping staffs keep asking me if i need mineral water (or other stuffs,like shampoo,toothbrush,slippers etc) whenever they see me walking along the hotel corridor,hehehe...which at most time i would already have about half a carton of them in my room. :D

As soon as I arrive to Harbour Bay, my SOP is to walk straight to the Prima Ferries offices to present my return ticket and CHECK-IN for the return one week later.

That way, I can stay 15 mins more in my room at Formosa on my last day (the last 15 minutes can be important) and leave, say, at 18:30 with the boarding pass in hand to catch the ferry of 19:15.

Alternatively,you can ask the Reception to help you make a call to Horizon Ferry to book a reservation to secure a place on the day you planned to go back. You secure a booking number so that you can straight away get your boarding pass ready for collection when you arrive at the Horizon counter.

Yes, correct, but it's MUCH BETTER to check-in and *get the boarding pass* immediately on my arrival. That way, I don't have to pass by the Horizon counter the day of departure. I have my boarding pass in hand and I go straight from Formosa to the gate.

Yesterday, went to recce Tiban Centre with my unreliable driver and along the way also checked out Taman Kota Mas/Baloi. No massage shop in these area.

No spa-like places like those that of Spa Secret spa too? hmm....do you notice any hotel nearby if you dont mind me asking. If there is a hotel,usually there is a massage place just round the corner somewhere,hehehe...

Next trip may want to explore Greenland, Panbil Mall area and Jl Ahmad Dahlan near to Mustafa Plaza. According to my unreliable driver, he said there are "toko pijat" with "pijat plus" in Panbil area and somewhere further up Panbil has a good seafood restaurant. Well...let's see (yet to discover)....

No worries , it's just me feeling nervous going on solo trip hence I got a full day driver incase shit happens I can still get help from him at anytime. He's not just a driver for me , he's also my translator/tour guide and a great friend so I feel like supporting him a little in his part time business.

As a matter of fact,i find you are not paying him for his service as a driver,but more for his company and as a form of insurance. I hope to join you one day to Batam but w/o your driver,hehehe...

I will go by taxis on future subsequent trips after I get more familiarized with Batam and also their language.

Thats is after you become 'independent' enough,which you will eventually be. Before that ,you may wish to 1st step out of your comfort zone,hehehe... Walk around the area of formosa.With maps on the link above,you cannot get lost and in the event if you do,simply walk to any hotel to hail a taxi or ojek (every 100 steps you will likely see a hotel). From Formosa Hotel,try walking to Nagoya Hill Mall. Hehehe..language should not be a barrier (tho i must say it is good to know their language) becos to date,i still dont speak bahasa too. :D

Yes, correct, but it's MUCH BETTER to check-in and *get the boarding pass* immediately on my arrival. That way, I don't have to pass by the Horizon counter the day of departure. I have my boarding pass in hand and I go straight from Formosa to the gate.

Smart move. Considering that during peak seasons, u may not even book for the timing you want back a few days later, even when you book after touch down.

I head to massage at idola which is oppsoite Dju Dju Hotel before heading to for lunch at BUdi Siang Malam chicken rice store.

I had a good time at this place with a 100k dick massage 1st then a hj.(1st quote 300k) The girl keeps teasing me halfway thru the hj by stopping at doing it halfway. My favorite kacang ijau stall is in Utama. (In fact my favorite hotel in btm is utama) when you walk from MLS towards DCM you will hit a wall,(up there is the service road of DCM) there you are a few hawkers. One of it have a sign. "kacang ijau". I think it cost 5k a bowl?.

Becos i wish to try other hotels and dwell in it to realize its potential in case one day my usual hotel room is no more. Its always good to have alternatives (back up plans) so i wont be bound by one single thing/place/girl. I dont like to be held ransom.

Is Biz hotel more centrally located ?

Wherever hotels one stays in,it really depends on what one is looking for. Biz hotel is only about 8 mins walk to Formosa Hotel. If i wish to focus on Citywalk shopping and food,i stay in Biz. If i am a New Berry/Gold Bird/NED fan who wish to get a fairly good and cheap hotel,i stay in Hana hotel. If i am a special service massage fan,i stay around Utama Hotel area. If i am a cheap and good food fan,Gideon,BCC and maybe even iHotel Baloi can be a good choice. It really depends on what one is looking for in Batam. Traveling from point A to point B in Batam's Nagoya-Penuin-Jodoh area isnt expensive via ojek/taxi and not time consuming (5 mins distance). Unless you traveled more than 10 "point A to point B" in a day,then booking a taxi for whole day is more value for money.

So it ultimately depends on what is around the area where one stays in. Formosa is still the MOST centralized hotel among Nagoya Hill area. If a 1st time Batam visitor who reads my guide and shares that he stay not-in-Formosa,then in my perspective,he isnt exactly a 1st timer. If he stays around Gideon/iHotel or penuin area,then a bulk of his priority should be more on food and not girl/s.

Question to ponder : IF taxi only get 100k comm, doesn't it make sense to get this unreliable driver to bring you around ALL the joints ?

Taxi dont take just 100k comm,bro. Taxi drivers collect commission from anything under the sun (food,massage,booking joint etc). It depends on the booking joint that offers the commission. This is the same question i ponder 2 years ago. Taxi driver can collect as low as 50k rupiah and as high as 150k rupiah (and higher) from some booking joint. They are definitely not poor people.

Think about it ... What for you save this 100k and start sweating and getting exhausted with all the walking around ? + time factor ... I guess you will be surprised on taxi comm...

Over the 2 years I have answered this question many times. If one dont bargain at all,whether he takes taxi or not,there is NO difference. Then again whether the price will come down or not depends on the joint a person visit as well as his bargaining skill and depending on the part/s of the week/day one goes Batam. The right timing and the right joint gives me a bigger access to the real quantity and quality of the stocks on that particular day and a better price.

And if its going for a massage,it doesnt make sense to me to walk and sweat all the way to the desired massage places,have a good massage (and good time),shower myself clean and then have to walk all the way back to hotel, sweating myself all over again.

if u alone with driver i 100% agree u can save time and energy.

I take ojek or walk when i am alone in Batam,works the same way as taking taxi. But if there are 2 or more friends with me,no point taking ojek as it will eventually cost more than taxi fare.

BUT in group 3~4 he earning more commission, i prefer to let him earn a lesson .Not big group u can carrot more, sometimes there are overboard demanding taxi fare when we taking more time or going too many joints .

I have always said this,big group equates to big fish. Big fish equates better bargaining power almost for anything and everywhere in Batam. A big group of newbies who dont bargain equates to a group of "walking carrots". Around them will definitely be predators (ironically,it can be a danger too). Therefore tourist guide/s in Batam often brings big group of tourists to Batam ready to be...chopped,hehehe...and for my group trips,if i have bigger groups (which nowaday i try not to have),i divide them into 2 or 3 now so that they wont become a single target.

Whether taxi drivers earns commission doesnt really affect me much nowaday,becos most importantly,i get a good price for girls and for taxi. After being in Batam for 2 year plus,i am kind of sure i know what is a normal price,what is an overly marked up price and what is a discounted price. And if taxi driver can still earn a commission from a discount i eventually got,why fuss over that? Its a win-win situation. Of course,there will be loser,which i suppose is the OKT. But did they really lose? I doubt...they just earning lesser and taxi driver may perhaps have a lesser than their normal commission plus i get a discounted bargained price. No one really lose.

No matter how well u nego with the driver eventually u will still lose out .Impossible for u not giving the extra taxi fare and arguing at the roadside.

I manage to resolve this problem by knowing a few taxi drivers ,create a situation to have them compete against one another. Best man wins. They can still monopolize by "acting" in my pressence,i can always change them and i make sure they know that. No need to argue till it spoil one's mood as bargaining should not take more than 3 mins.

In a single day,I visited over 6 different pharmancys,2 different computer IT shops,3 different dried food shops and 2 different provision shops. Thats not counting in booking joints,shopping malls,breakfast,lunch and dinner. W/o a taxi,i wont be able to make it all happen in one day. But to be honest,the taxi driver was a bit black faced,hehehe...i pay 300k/day (not easy huh?).

In one of my much earlier summary,i did not use a single taxi or ojek. I walked from Harbour Bay to Kaha,and then to Formosa Hotel. I walked to some booking joints,booked my girls. Walk to massage shops at Utama area,have a massage and walk back.I tried Ojek-only trip as well as walking only trip a few times to have a better understanding. I soon realize i am not from Krypton (superman's home planet),hehehe...so i simply pick a better way of moving around batam which suits me most.

Seemed like BKK still have some value in it.

I will have to lower my expectation when i reach Bangkok. I have said it before,i dropped my expectation when i come from Guang Xi/Guang Zhou to Batam,i will drop my expectation if i go to another city from Batam too,be it Bangkok,Pattaya,Hatyai,Jakarta,Bali,HCMC,KL,Tokyo or Phnom Penh etc. Not becos they arent good nor they arent good enough. But more becos i am still new to that new place,i am used to Batam style and i wish to HAVE a good time.

No place on earth is all good and no bad or all bad and no good. Otherwise the cheonging bros will not be spending their golden time of their years there,hehehe...

Hah ok , as long it fits the TV in Formosa Hotel , I understood about the language subtitles part lol usually they shown signs of boredom when I started to play english songs. But I will very likely cater to her first by letting her enjoy her favourite songs.

Right , definitely as a form of insurance for myself. Some phobia still stayed with me during my first solo Jakarta trip , I've went to the wrong side of Jakarta(rural area) and it was seriously dam rough to be there as a tourist lol. Finding someone that understands english is almost impossible , got unlucky with a drunk/sleepy bluebird driver that speeds on the highway and tries to chop me on fares by bringing me to wrong places or re-route a bigger route. Worst part when I tried to roam the streets , once stepped out of the hotel boundaries is zero security/law , got approached by groups of homeless men trying to get money from me , almost get robbed by speeding motorcyclist that just snaps at my bag. Witnessing riots with flying glass bottles and lastly police officers that just barged into my room giving excuse of raiding PRC sex workers.(apparently lots of them stays in the same 4* hotel) but thankfully they did not plant drugs and extort me.

That trip leaves me hanging there helplessly with fear on few occasions.
Batam and Bali is definitely a much friendlier place to be in.
